I am going to start by saying me and my husband are Marriott members. He travels for business and myself personal & business. So when I arrived and check in to be told it's a pricey deposit at that time, as well as your room will be charge and during the time it's no house keeping during stay, you can pick up towel from front desk and the restaurants close at 9pm. 😳 Then go up to my room to find it across from the noisy ice machine that ran constantly. I change rooms, to find that room not so clean, especially the bathroom. I am truly disappointed, really disappointed, I've NEVER experienced this from a Marriott Hotel and I hope I NEVER experience it AGAIN! 😼 Unhappy Customer ☹
The hotel lobby and rooms look nice but there were four major issues we encountered. The first was there were ALOT of kids and teenagers roaming around the hotel lobby and floors. At one point the hotel attendent threatened to lock the doors. The second is the safe and drawer kept opening, the room we were in was on a slight tilt, very strange. They moved us to another room and like our first neighbors, they were playing loud music. We ignored it and went to dinner. The final issue was we wake up this morning to find what appears to be dried blood on the comforter and yellow stains on the mattress pad. We didn't notice them last night because we went right to sleep after dinner. DISGUSTING! I am so done. Not a good experience.
My boyfriend and I visited this hotel on valentines weekend. Everything was great, we got massages, went to a comedy show, saw most of downtown using the people mover. SN: Greatest invention ever. Anywho when we got back to South Carolina I received a confirmation email thanking us for our weekend stay, checking out on 2/16. However 2 days later I received ANOTHER confirmation email stating we checked out on 2/18. I check my bank and see they have attempted to charge my card 2 more nights (luckily most of it declined) so I call the hotel and was told there’s no manager I could talk to about it but some how 2 strangers were able to get in our checked out room and police were actually involved. Now since they claimed they new us the FRONT DESK authorized the payment ?!?! So you mean to tell me if I lose my room key and some stranger finds it and tell u they “know me” you take their word and charge MY card! So I call for a week straight and try to talk with a manager who doesn’t even have the curtesy to speak with me about the situation. I was able to speak with Bebe in accounting who was helpful, they issued one night back but have yet to issue the other night. Very frustrated guest…
This hotel was right across from the General Motors Renaissance Center and a short walk from the river. It snowed my first day there so we didn't go far, but it was convenient to where we needed to go.
Very very unprofessional front desk manager..it was Liz if I got that right..they are so unprofessional made me wait for a room upgrade for 8 hours and when I turn back to checkin..they dont have any reference of it which made me annoyed..They talk back to customers and have no sense of hospitality...
