Having read the other reviews it seems like customer service varies depending on who you talk to. I have to say everyone I interacted with exceeded my expectations when it came to customer service. They have a solid and friendly staff who showed genuine interest in making sure you enjoyed your stay (especially the bar and restaurant staff). Very nice pool and hot tub area. Awesome bar and restaurant (with locally inspired food). Good location, about half way between the airport and downtown. It is kind of in a mall area so there are a few other "ok" food options near by. Yes, the rooms are showing their age but nothing was unacceptable or needing replacement. Not yet at least, but soon they will be. My only suggestion would be if they upgraded the room to also upgrade the toilet, which was extremely low to the ground. But I would definitely stay here again.…
From the moment we walked in, I was impressed. Beautiful inviting lobby. People longing around. They have restaurant & bar area. Nicely decorated, including many art pieces. Check-in on line of you want your room earlier than the 4 p.m. time. Our room was on 3rd floor. Very comfortable and clean. Biggest TV I've ever seen in a hotel room. The view wasn't much. But the location isn't the best for scenery although easy freeway access. They do have valet, but you can save yourself money and do self park right next to the Henry. Worth the stay!!!
When most people write a review, I think they focus more on the amenities. The restaurant, the bar, the gym. While those make a difference, I think the biggest thing is the people. I came to the Henry after an eight year absence. I was greeted in the bar by my name by Audra. She remembered me after eight years. Rachal at the bar also gave me great service. The front desk had Sharon, who was just the sweetest person ever. This is the reason you come back to her place. This is the reason the Henry is one of Marriotts top hotels.
Spent three nights in the hotel for a conference. The hotel has a very special ambience to it and the facilities are excellent, including the pool and the gym. I want to especially recognize the General Manager Mr. Alan Osborne who personally got involved to help resolve some Marriott billing issues and night credits. I look forward to visiting again.
From the bellman to the front desk to the staff, all wonderful. Classic former Ritz Carlton with still some shine left. The rooms are a bit sparse and need updating and a bit more attention to detail. Such as, not a piece of paper or a pen anywhere! Bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The views from the upper floor was wonderful of the area and the hotel is well located to everything we needed in Dearborn. For the price, the rooms should be better appointed and updated. The lobby restaurant is also something that needs attention. Went to make a dinner reservation before our arrival and it required a deposit! When we ate there it was nothing more than a hotel style diner, nothing special and the food was nothing special, so what gives? Pool and spa were a little tattered also. The staff was terrific!…
The hotel is just fine, there is no room service, the decorations are a bit old fashioned, the gym is fair(even it could benefit from a equipment freshen up), the breakfast is also just fine (very good fruit and juice but tiny selection of bread/pastries), the rooms are good. The area is horrible with nothing to do except the Henry Ford museum nor far away. I would rate it better, but it is very overprice for the service you get
I would like to give a special things to La Shonda in housekeeping Valencia at the front desk Brandon in valet and the other valet guy the older guy I cannot think of his name so please forgive me anyhow my name is Mario Hudson my friends and I were there for three days and we had a wonderful time your entire staff is great you guys treated us with the upmost respect and I just would like to say thank you thank you thank you
The hotel property is great and so is the front desk staff. Valencia was always helpful and made sure our whole party was taken care of. Ivana who is in the group sales/catering department was always amazing as well. She was so accommodating with all of our needs. If you are planning to have a large group, made sure to book this hotel! -Jora Singh
This hotel is run by people who obviously don't care. First, I had a package delivered for me before I arrived (yesterday). I didn't ask for it on check-in. So I went down to the front desk just now (11:30 a.m.) to get it. The guy took my name, went to the back, and then came back 30 seconds later and told me to ask at the bell desk because the front desk was "too busy with check-ins." I went to the bell desk and, guess what, they aren't there. The guy at the front desk was just standing there, as there was no one else in line. Whomever he spoke with in back obviously didn't want to deal with it, so they just punted it to the bell desk. So I told front-desk guy to find my package and bring it to my room when someone had time. I presume I won't get it. That was infuriating. But let me tell you about the buffet. There was supposed to be an egg-chef station. But in fact, you write your egg order on a piece of paper, which is ultimately taken in back and made by the cook, and then delivered to your table. On your paper, you put a number that corresponds to a number on a stand at your table and they bring your eggs. Well, I never got my eggs. When the waitress (who did a good job) went to the back to ask, they had no knowledge of my order. So no eggs for me. But why do all that? Why not just take my order if there is in fact no egg chef at the buffet. Oh, and when I checked in with my 97-year old mother, no one even bothered to help us with our bags. I would not stay here again, nor should anyone, frankly. If they don't care enough to do their job, I'll go somewhere else.…
Spent an absolutely lovely week here from 1st April. However, the 'Covid' excuse is beginning to wear thin here, as elsewhere, so having no housekeeping service is totally unacceptable especially when the full price is being paid. Requests for replenishment of stocks were dealt with pleasantly and effciently however. Food and beverage service were excellent (thanks Saeed, Caitlin and Renee) but I did not take dinner frequently as the only meat offered was Halal which I find morally unacceptable to eat. Ethically killed meat shoud be available for all menu options and guests' preferences.
