Congratulations to Andreas Wormser, his partners and family to have created this wonderful oasis only a few minutes from the capital Pristina. What an achievement! The spacious minimalist architecture of the property, the fabulous pool, the lovely garden and surrounding fields are soothing to the eye and invites one to linger as long as possible. For us this was the place were we felt we were on holiday. Everyone was really welcoming and genuine. The small library offers many gems that are difficult to find elsewhere in the Kosovo and beyond. The hotel's involvement in several important charitable projects should be wholeheartedly supported. In short, this is definitely one of the most exciting places one can visit in the Kosovo! We hope to be able to come back soon again!
Delightful staff, lovely pool and gardens, spotless modern rooms. Our stay at this hotel felt like a real treat. Particularly liked the small touches, like the inclusion of a map for a local walk in the room information. We were sad to leave.
We stayed two nights here with our tour group and the whole stay was excellent - very friendly and professionally run, lovely swimming pool, beautiful views over rural lands, carefully planted acacia trees, tasty food and local wines. My husband and I had room 10 which may be the largest as it had a whole kitchen set up and spacious terrace. The hotel is about 6 years old with really special wooden architectural features and was designed with environment-friendly principles at heart such as the best available eco heating and cooling. Well worth a visit and a great introduction to what can be achieved in this new country.
I have been to Hotel Gracanica many times for business, and must admit that is one of the best hotels near Pristina, as it is relaxing place, nice and modern rooms, great swimming pool, friendly staff and professional owner. Recommended
We booked to stay here in September, as I knew it was near the Bear Sanctuary (15-20 min drive), the main draw to this area. The pictures looked nice from the website, and I have to say I would go as far to say that it was even nicer than the pictures made it look! The place has a lovely pool, with deck chairs in the gardens over looking the fields for miles , the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset with a drink. The room was a good size, with a comfy bed and a nice balcony area overlooking the pool, gardens and fields. There is a range off snacks and meals available from the restaurant, which was reasonably priced. We found the service to be very good, we were well looked after and made to feel welcome throughout our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating , especially the lady who worked the main afternoon and even shifts (apologies for not remembering her name), she was particularly helpful and really put her heart and soul into delivering the best experience for her customers. Thank you :-) The hotel is close to the monastery and not far from Pristina, which we didn't end up going to as we wanted to chill out in the hotel as we had done a lot of driving and sightseeing prior to this. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we hope to come back one day.…
