The hotel is well situated. Has two different locations. We wanted the one on the water, and appreciated the view. The room was a little worn and wasn’t as clean as another hotel in town we stayed at. But, the view was great. I really think they’d do a lot by improving the upkeep of the rooms. The most sad part of the view was the dilapidated cement docks that we had to look at as we look at the water. They are broken and falling into the lake. Also, so much duck poop all around it didn’t feel right trying to get into the water. We used the county dock for that. Easy walk to lots of things, but I don’t know if I’d stay there again unless things were a little more tidy.

I would definitely stay here again! We had a room in "the annex", which had a doorwall on the north end over looking the bay. There was a large window on the south wall as well, allowing a nice breeze. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor seating area on the water. The rooms have been modernized since the TripAdvisor photos. One simple amenity that they provided that I haven't seen at any other hotel or motel: a hamper for used linen. Brilliant! No A/C, but it is not needed with the cross ventilation and the cooler temps from the lake. Definitely pleased with our choice!

Our room had an issue with the heat and we were quickly offered another room and help moving. New room had toilet that ran all night. Biggest issue for us is that the housekeeper unlocked door (no knock) and walked in on us at 9:30 AM while we were dressing. She quickly retreated but came back at 9:40 to see if we were gone yet. No one in the office about 10:00 when we checked out. Left key and a note. Hard to score service, management great, housekeeping terrible.

Our room was on the water with a view to the north (was hoping to see northern lights but clouds came in). Basic motel - clean with a lot of windows, which I love - except for the part of having neighbors, ha! Nice enough space and a lovely sitting area facing sliding glass door to the water.

King of all motels in Copper Harbor. We stay here when we come to Copper Harbor. Stayed in on of the annex rooms next to water. Wonderful clean rooms. The owners are very nice and care for their customers. Only bad part of our trip there for three days was i didnt catch any fish. Fall colors where good. Highly recommend this motel.
