Refrigerators and roll-away beds are available for an additional charge upon request. All pets are welcome with additional charge and asked not to be left alone in the room. Loved being able to see the water from inside the room and from our deck. That was great. The room itself could use some updating, and the bathroom really needed help. The toilet barely flushed, the shower did not drain, and the entire bathroom should really be updated.

The room had a very 'retro' feel. It had 2 beds, also had a coffee table and 2 chairs. There was a sliding glass door that overlooked the water. There were also chairs right outside the door so you could sit right by the bay. There was a great little bakery that served coffee and a few donuts and pastries in the mornings you could see and walk to, also right on the water. You could walk a few blocks to a couple nice restaurants in town too. We liked this motel a lot, would stay here again, it was very clean. The only bad thing is the rooms do not have AC. We did not need it, even in August, had a great breeze from the water.

Always a pleasure to stay at this motel in Copper Harbor. All of the staff are very friendly and very helpful with any questions I have. Clean rooms and just the right amount of peace and quiet I have been looking forward to. Great view of Copper Harbor for that sunrise over the water. Watching the changing action of Lake Superior is always amazing as the water seems to go on for ever. You can always watch the freighter’s out on Lake Superior, as they travel just off the harbor. At night all you see are lights floating on the water. Very much worth the trip to the top of Michigan.

Pro…right on the water in an annex room. Front door parking. Clean room. Lots of options for relaxing outside. Con…dated , but expensive. $140 a night for a room. No air conditioning, I know, I know, you don’t usually need it. But boy when you do, you really DO. There is a fan with a very short cord snd not many options for plugging it in. Same for my husband’s C-pap machine. It’s going to be hard to sleep tonight with the windows open and the neighbors walking by and looking in. I really kind of liked the look of the hotel next door. Looking forward to tomorrow nights room in Marquette because it has AIR!

The motel has two sites; they are just across the road from each other. One is right on the water, the other is across the road, but still within sight of the harbor. We stayed in both during our three-day stay. Both rooms offered great views, your own porch/patio, and seating to enjoy the view. The original location (not right on the water) is slightly dated, but was clean and smelled fresh. I'm someone who likes the mix and match furnishings that are not your typical motel furniture. The newer facility on the water was also very nice, and also slightly dated. The bathroom is smaller at this site, and also dated, but was clean. The staff we dealt with were helpful, friendly, and professional. The setting was perfect. If you don't mind older accommodations, you'll enjoy your stay at the King Copper. Either site is good.
