My wife and I have been staying at the Chelsea House Victorian Inn for close to 15 years. We have been through three owners! I must say that Carla is the greatest host that we have had. Because of the Covid situation, our visit was a bit different then previous years and Carla made sure our visit was the best ever. My wife and I along with the other four couples that joined us had a wonderful and comfortable stay. Thank you!!
I stayed in the Victorian suite. It was spacious and secluded. For kitchen, with coffee maker, and very nice shower. Nice TV and comfortable bed. Owner is very kind and helpful. Located in the center of town, which brings its obvious benefits, but also has its own parking space. Highly recommend. -SL
We enjoyed our stay in this charming B and B. The hostess was friendly and gracious and she prepared a delicious breakfast. This is a charming town and well worth a visit, which for us included a visit to the Purple Rose Theater and The Common Grill restaurant. A little mini getaway!
We stayed in the penthouse, which was spacious, peaceful and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and Carla was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very quiet, with a super comfy bed and nice sofas for reading. From the B & B you can walk to the Common Grill and interesting shops on Main Street, as well as to the Purple Rose Theater. The Common Grill has great food but there's always a line on weekends so plan ahead.
I booked the Carriage House here as part of a surprise get-away for my husband's birthday. Carla was very welcoming when I checked in, asking about our plans to see if we needed maps or reservations. She filled us in on the breakfast menu and made special arrangements for my husband's breakfast. The Carriage House was spacious and beautifully decorated, including some antiques. We can't say enough about breakfast...simply scrumptious and artfully presented. We saw the new play at the Purple Rose Theater and had dinner at the Common Grill. It was an amazing get away and we can't wait to go back and see Carla and Steve at the Victorian Inn!
