Looking for a reasonable place to stay for two nights, the visitor bureau suggested Maple Leaf. Perfect. We didn't need a pool, fitness center or comp breakfast. We did want clean, comfy and convenient. Cindy was so welcoming and the motel is nostalgic and adorable. 10 min walk to downtown meant no parking or traffic hassles. We bicycled to Petoskey... More

It is an old-fashioned motel like where my family stayed in in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Dated furnishings BUT Cindy and Gypsy are super friendly and obviously work hard and care about the place. Nice big trees, a place to sit out back, big parking spaces outside your room. It is on the main highway so we heard... More

The furnishings are definitely old and dated, but everything is so clean and neat that it really doesn't matter. The shower had great water pressure which is often lacking in an older hotel. The facility itself is very nicely landscaped. You can tell the owner really cares.

This motel is an excellent choice! We came across it on our road trip down the coast of Michigan! The owner is lovely and the rooms and grounds are well taken care of! We are defiantly staying there on our next trip to the shores of Michigan.

This was our second time staying at the Maple Leaf Motel. Cindy, the owner / manager takes great pride in the cleanliness of the rooms. And she loves her flowers! It is a gem right on the main road into Charlevoix. Prices are reasonable. This is definitely our "go-to" place to stay in that area of the State.

What a pleasant place to stay, well maintained, clean and large rooms. - The grounds are so cute with flowers, pumpkins, painted rocks. Just adorable! - Will definitely stay again. Prices are very reasonable.

What a pleasant surprise this little hotel turned out to be! We were on our last night of a 4 day fall trip up Michigan's west coast and didn't want to spend a bundle on a room. The Maple Leaf turned out to be a very nice option. Our room was clean and very roomy for the price, though it... More

Stayed here for four days in August. This little motel is right off the main road into Charlevoix. The rooms are good size for a roadside motel and very, very clean. The owner takes pride in not only the inside, but also the outside of this little gem. Very friendly and have one of the sweetest, well trained dogs. We... More

We stay twice a year awaiting the ferry to Beaver Island. Cindy and her husband are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms, very simple, are immaculate. Our original reason for choosing the Maple Leaf is that dogs are welcome, and Cindy asks your dog's name when you make reservations. The grounds are beautifully kept with flowers, outdoor seating on wide... More

The Maple Leaf is a classic, mom-and-pop hotel, with no-frills budget accommodations. The rooms are small, but impeccably clean, with the classic postage-stamp size bars of soaps, and small-sized towels. Moreover, it's a short 15-minute walk to town, so you can easily avoid issues of parking if you're headed out on the ferry (as we were) or just want to... More
