Absolutely wonderful stay at The New Inn while attending a wedding nearby. Really welcoming staff who personally walked us up to our beautiful room, clearly explaining how to get in after 11pm once the pub was closed. Fresh crisp white linen and fluffy towels. Breakfast was 10/10 in the morning too. No time to explore the local area on our visit, but we will return!

A lovely pub, restaurant and hotel. We stayed for one night. A nice big with comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom with bath. Dinner was very good. A really good range of largely Italian themed starters. For mains we each had one of the specialty burgers which were great along with the Rosemary seasoned fries. Excellent choice of wines by the glass and draught beers. The waiting staff were attentive and very professional. Good breakfast this morning ranging from full english to granola accompanied by some lovely toasted bread.

Hotel gave us free upgrade to one bedroom suite with a four poster bed, free standing bath etc. Looked at our original room which was also a very nice. Breakfast very good and staff extremely helpful. Ate in restaurant one night which was mainly gourmet burgers so not really for us although obviously popular. Good central location for the Cotswold. Free WiFi not secure

We had booked a family room for the four of us (2 parents and 2 children aged 12 and 10). However, the room was far too small to be described as a family room and didn’t even have a wardrobe. In addition the room smelled musty and was dirty. Whilst the breakfast was good the dinner menu was extremely limited - pretty much a selection of a few burgers and a coupe of other dishes - and pretty disappointing. The staff were in the main friendly but it was clear that one or two didn’t want to be there. The pub/hotel’s parking was a bit of a nightmare at times with insufficient space for guests staying there never mind people popping in for a meal of a drink. The surrounding area is undeniably beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in this area of the Cotswolds, despite the disappointment of the New Inn. Although there were some positives with the New Inn, overall we left very underwhelmed and disappointed with our stay and unfortunately we will not be staying there again if we visit the area in the future.

This place is amazing! From the second that we arrived the staff were so friendly and generally faultless. The food was absolutely fantastic with some of the best burgers we've ever had. The Guinness was perfect, the setting was perfect, the food was perfect and so was the service.

Recently spent 4 nights at the New Inn. Our room (number4) was up in the eaves. We are of average height but bumped our heads a few times as we kept forgetting! Room was comfortable and fairly quiet despite being at the front of the building. On the last night someone must have checked in to the room next to us quite late (11.30) as there were a lot of loud voices and crashing and slamming of the door. If I hadn’t already been in bed I would have gone out and asked them to turn the volume down. I thought I had booked a room with a shower, instead it was a freestanding bath with a shower attachment. It’s not big enough to lie down in but we managed. The shower gel etc is bolted to the wall, maybe they’ve had theft issues. The decor in the room is ‘tired’ and could do with a lick of paint. We had dinner there on the first night, the food was fine but it’s an advantage if you like burgers as they feature heavily. We ate elsewhere for the other 3 nights. The menu is quite limited. The plates were chipped in several places, maybe deliberately to add to the ‘rustic’ feel of the place. As others have already mentioned, apart from the full English breakfast there was no choice of cereals (just granola), no pastries or fruit. The Inn is well placed for exploring the lovely villages and towns in the Cotswolds. The car park was usually full but we were always fortunate to get a space. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, I can’t really put my finger on why. It was nice, perfectly comfortable, just didn’t have the ‘wow’ factor.

3 work colleagues and I met on a Wednesday evening for dinner and drinks. One of my girlfriends asked to see a cocktail menu , unfortunately it was like she had spoken in a different language. When she asked the girl again, she shrugged her shoulder and huffed and puffed , clearly this wasn’t available. We had our dinner - 2 of which was very good , the other 2 was extremely dry burgers. When talking to a neighbouring table , they said they had experienced bad service for the last 2 nights - they were staying at the hotel and was looking forward to leaving. It appears they are only good for a burger but if you ask them anything out of their comfort zone you are faced with a tantrum The staff are very inexperienced and young, when I paid my bill a lovely young girl took payment , I asked her who the dark hair girl was who had been serving us and she informed us she was one of the managers . Wow , she behaved like a delinquent teenager and grunted , we paid our bill and left.
