Great little campground in the middle of town! We were visiting an elderly relative and it was the perfect spot for us. We have a 40’ motorhome, pulling a truck. Of course we had to unhook. Our spot included electric, water & sewer. The campground is well kept.
Very nice campground with lots for kids to do! We went on a Halloween themed weekend so there was many fun activities planned and our kids had a great time! We will definitely be back in future our only complaint is the sites are a little on the smaller side but its an older campground and new RVs are much bigger than the old ones were
Woodchip is a wonderful family oriented campground. Especially during their Fall/Harvest festival weekends. This was our second year enjoying this weekend. They have so many different activities that are all included in your reservation fee. Glow hayride, smores, inflatable water fun and foam party, pumpkin patch hayride and pumpkin decorating, site decorating contest, trick or treating, bounce pillow, pool and barrel train rides, and face painting! The only thing that I don't like is the inner sites around the playground area are really small. They upgraded all of the perimeter sites which we will likely choose next year. Then the bathroom stalls are really small - like so small when you sit down your knees touch the door! That's my only dislike, but the bathrooms are clean. It is a wonderful little campground and we will be returning!…
Stayed here 3 nights with 15 of my family menbers, along with my father and sister with her family. From clean campsites to fun activities. I highly recommend this campground to families who want to have great memories made.
Loved this campground! Grandkids gave it a 10. They had a blast Labor Day weekend. Pool, jumping pillow, playground plus all the planned activities (face painting, chalk drawings, magician, clown show, foot beer floats, ice cream social, foam party, blow-up slides, dunk tank, and many others). On Labor Day morning there was a bike parade for he kids. The owners really do an amazing job! We hope to come back next year.
Had a wonderful time at woodchip, we camped with our adult kids and grandkids and they LOVED all the activities they had to offer. Favorite was the craft time and the bubbles. Thanks. .Will be coming back
We love this little hidden gem. great place for families to enjoy time together my kids 13,11 and 6 all had something to do. The bathrooms are always clean. Only complaint is the sites are a little tight
We stayed over the 4th of July Holiday. We have stayed at Woodchip a few times prior to this trip. This trip was about the same, very enjoyable. Friendly staff and owners. They seem to truly appreciate your business. We always enjoy the root beer floats they offer for free and also the sundaes that are free as well. Nice to sit and meet some new people while enjoying these cool treats. As some have said the sites are pretty narrow but that has never stopped us from staying. The pool is clean, always. They have a jumping blob that the kids love, also a Ga Ga pit, basketball court and wagon rides. Our granddaughters favorite is the foam party’s. They will often have different food trucks come in. Bring your cash, or card, the food trucks are pricey, but that’s with any food truck. They are good about keeping the noise down after quiet hours have started. We truly enjoy our stay at Woodchip and look forward to the next trip. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed. Kurt and Nancy Wierenga…
Woodchip Campground is a very pleasant Campground! It's definitely family friendly, but if you don't have kids, there is not alot of adult activities on site! With it being in a residential area, it's small but a very nice campground. The issues, albeit minor, are the bathroom stalls are extremely tight ( like up to 5 more inches would be great, and the showers had no extra room to keep your dry things dry while keeping all your items inside the shower stall, and possibly having actual wood like doors that you could lock while taking a shower. The staff are all super friendly and accessible! It's nice that is is so close to home but feels like your miles away from it all! Thank you.
We heard about Woodchip through a FB giveaway that they did this Spring. We were heading north for the weekend, so we decided to extend our trip by a few days to check them out. They did not disappoint! Our kids had a fantastic time, and our family even made new friends from another state, who we plan to meet up with later this summer. We stayed during the week, so we were not able to enjoy the weekend activities. That said, our kiddos (6 & 7.5 yrs) still stayed very busy and happy. We appreciated that the size of the campground was small enough to always know where the kids were, without having to be with them the whole time. The pool is a good size, and well maintained. The bathrooms are very clean - no bugs on the walls like you find in state parks! The sites are well maintained, and the staff is very pleasant. They are located right in town, so youre very close to stores, etc if you need them. Things that we didnt love, but will not stop us from visiting again: 1. Bathroom stalls are very small - your knees hit the door when sitting on the toilet. 2. Sites are very narrow - the width is exactly the size of our fifth wheel with the awning and slide out. Thankfully the sites are long-ish, so we had just enough room between the road and the camper to park our truck and safely have a bonfire. The size of the sites will stop us from spending more than a couple of nights at a time, as it feels very crowded as the campground fills up. We like to have a little more space between us and our neighbors. 3. Shower stalls are quite small - again, it wont stop us from visiting again, but it will stop us from staying for more than a couple of nights. Your towel and clothing are hanging in a common area, and there is very little room to dry off and get dressed in the stall. Give them a try - youll enjoy your stay!…
