First time camping at MIS. Found this great private campground as I wanted something more cozy than the impersonal mega race track campground. This one has aprox 200 sites - 1/2 electric sites. . Very clean. The owners were super and helpful. They act as if you are a guest and they want you to enjoy yourself. They are constantly available to help with requests. Two nights of entertainment a live band and the next night an honest to gosh wrestling match. Rates included the live band and two free breakfasts and dinners.Clean porta-potties and a shower. Easy walking distance to track and a quick get away after the Sprint race Sunday.. Overall SUPER experience. Will use again. Al A.

We were in town for the NASCAR races. It was our first trip to the track and we didn’t know what campground around the track was best. The own of Kooter’s reaches out to me after I inquired about camping on Facebook, and she gave us all the info we needed to book our site. We had plenty of room, trees and shade, clean restrooms and a party Saturday night (taco bar and entertainment). We will definitely be back again! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Michigan International Speedway one well always remember!

Had a great time at the campground....
They should really have someone there to direct you to the electric spots. It was really a free for all to choose a spot. One person said we couldn’t park in a spot because they had friends coming....then the spot was open all weekend!!
The band was good and the taco bar was ok
The shower house.....well....not for me!! My husband said I was better off using our shower in the RV
It was about a 10-15 minute to to track.....shuttle rides would be nice

Stayed in the back cabin, it was EXCELLENT, if you want this spot you better be early and on your game Lol! Had my own facilities (bathroom) small patio area with fire pit (wood was already there!). The owner, Phyllis is such a Doll, attended to my every need (not many) it was air-conditioned, small fridge and microwave. She provided coffe-maker, coffe cream and sugar, real coffee mugs (and paper cups too!) there was a corner fireplace, large area rug on the floor, two rocking chairs on the front porch. It was a Dream would do it again!

Only 1 shower for the entire campground. Went for the Faster Horses Festival. Was told there was a free shuttle-not, free breakfast- never enough food. There was vault toilets that a man with a shovel cleaned out. They ran out of toilet paper and you had to bring your own. By day two the toilets were so gross you had to leave the park to go to the bathroom. The grounds are nice and quiet. Only electric hook up. Very close to your neighbor so you better love them! No one around in case of an emergency.

Response from RacyPartyPlanner, Owner at Kamp 42 Degrees Campground
Responded Mar 21, 2018
We are really sorry you had such a bad experience with our campground! The event you attended has a very high volume of visitors. When there are too many last minute reservations and/or people invite outside guests onto the campground it is harder to get enough vault toilets. The man you seen with the shovel was cleaning out rolls and rolls of toilet paper that someone placed inside of the vault toilet as an apparent prank. Which is why there was toilet paper shortage. We apologize for that inconvenience. The shower house is for those who are not in an RV. Visitors in tents or primitive sites are welcome to use our shower house that has a hot shower. There are mobile showers at MIS that you can pay to use. Also surrounding venues offer pay to shower for campers. At Kooter's Creekside our sites measure 20X60 and go up to 20X100. There are sites to fit most campers needs. If there is breakfast being served there are hours designated and the food is first come first served. When it's gone it's gone. There are signs all over the grounds with the phone number to reach us wherever we are on the grounds. Thank you for reviewing us and we hope you will visit us again!
