Enjoyed a wonderful stay…beginning with a friendly welcoming, very clean accommodations, nice little touches (mints, popcorn, waters in the refrigerator, coffee and baked goods the next morning, directions, etc.), and privacy. Would not hesitate staying there again!
Excellent place to stay! Extremely clean. Lots of little touches make your stay special. Big, new TV with Netflix, cold water in fridge and a bag of popcorn all complementary. Excellent coffee and rolls in office every morning.
Jean does an exceptional job. This is not a fancy place, but it is wonderfully managed by conscientious and warm, friendly people. The motel is terrifically located in town, close to everything, and it is spanking clean and fresh. Comfortable beds and pillows and lovely presentation. Small frig + microwave. We'll be back!
Very comfortable bed & pillows; extremely clean. Appreciated the complimentary waters in the fridge & bag of popcorn! Close to downtown, within walking distance to restaurants and the lake. I booked this motel during a business trip, so when I hadn't arrived by 9pm, the office called and left me a message that the office would be closing at 10...to call back to check in by phone if I couldn't get there by 10. Nice to know that check-in can be accomplished so easily. Very pleasant staff.
My review for this place is going to be a mix of positive and negative. For the price that I paid, I was disappointed. I feel like I paid a hotel price for motel value. The parking is really tight. There were no handicapped spots which was kind of surprising. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, though ,and the check-in was efficient. This is a clean, comfortable motel. I stayed here on a Friday night, and it was close to the downtown area. For anyone who wanted to walk, that would be possible. It’s just a few blocks from the lake to enjoy the sunset. I had anticipated staying in a quiet, small town. I wish I had known in advance that Friday nights are anything but quiet. They had some sort of an event going on in which people were dancing in the streets and there were bands on every corner. For people who like a lot of activity, it would probably be enjoyable. For me, I couldn’t get back to the motel room quickly enough. I wanted peace. Even when I went out to dinner, there was no where to park. Fridays are clearly a very busy day in this town. The room itself was a good size and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The bedding was comfortable and a very good quality. There were complementary bottles of water in the refrigerator, which was a very nice touch. There was a desk and two highly uncomfortable chairs. They were made out of a hard wicker and there was no cushion. Plus they lean back at an uncomfortable angle. After sitting in one of the chairs for about five minutes, I opted to just sit on the bed. The air conditioner was strong enough to cool the room adequately, but it was quite noisy. If you are a light sleeper that might be an issue. It didn’t keep me awake, but it was definitely noisy. The bathroom was very small. As an older, disabled person, the toilet was unfortunately an issue. It’s actually my dealbreaker for why I will not go back to this motel. It was really low to the ground and it was horrible for my knees. Every time I had to go into the bathroom, I dreaded it. They honestly need to install some sort of a rail or a handle near the toilet to help people get up. I had to hold onto the counter of the sink and the handle of the door. I have never seen a toilet so low to the ground. Considering that the bed and the bedding seemed to be high end, I am surprised that they would be so cheap with the tiny toilet. There was also a small step to enter the bathroom which I tripped over almost every time. For a young, able-bodied person, these would probably not be issues. For me, though, it ruined my visit. I was quite happy to leave this pricey motel room.…
