Wonderful place to stay and everyone I met was helpful and kind. Now I understand why it's my mom's favorite place to stay up there. The breakfast was unlike anything I've had. It was absolutely delicious!
My husband and I enjoyed an overnight stay at this beautiful B & B on our way to Mackinac Island. The house is quite grand and situated on a lovely estate with a majestic tree-lined driveway. We stayed in the Mackinac Suite (we stayed with the theme of the trip) and it was spacious and clean. The Mackinac Suite is located in the carriage house which is only a few steps from the main house. Holly has put great thought and effort into making guests comfortable. Extra towels and an extra blanket are provided in the room. She's even thought to provide a container under the sink of possible "necessities" such as a tooth brush or band-aids for travelers who may have forgotten something from home. In the main house there are complimentary snacks, coffee, tea or wine. Breakfasts are in the main house and there are separate tables for 2 to 6 people. Nice for "non-morning" people who want may not want to socialize at a common table. Holly has 2 precious dogs...we enjoyed having Maggie sit by our table making "puppy eyes" at us for scraps of food. We very recently lost our little dog so having Maggie sit at our feet during breakfast while we snuck her bits of bacon made our hearts smile. Nothing gets by Holly...she saw me sneak her the food! LOL! It made our morning as much as the delicious food that Holly made that day. Our stay was a short but sweet one and we will definitely be back.…
This was a great B&B experience in the time of COVID. The B&B was absolutely beautiful, well maintained, clean, and spacious. Stayed in the cottage rooms - bathroom was clean, shower was great. The room was spacious, appointed with fun things to look at. King size bed was decent - pillows were a little too hard, but everyone has their own preference. Breakfast every morning was amazing and filling!!! The grounds were nice - chickens to go visit, deer out the windows. The other great part is how close this is to the town of Bellaire - about a 5 minute walk down the road and you are at several restaurants, bars, and shops. There's also a great park to explore about 2 minutes from the property. Would definitely recommend for a northern michicagn stay - about 1 hour from Traverse City and 1:30 from Mackinac City.…
This wa a the first week all year that my wife and I could get away for a week. Three days here to unwind before going further north. Wow - our host Holly (Bellaire B & B) and her home was a perfect way to decompress. Beautiful site, grounds and home. Our room (Brighton) was spacious. Sitting area, fireplace, walk in closet, private bath with all amenities. All beautifully appointed. Breakfast? Holly knows gourmet! Eggs couldn’t be more fresh, you’ll see the chickens in the backyard. Bellaire is a great town. Check out restaurants and, of course, Short’s Brewery. Bike trail through town is fun. Glacial hiking trails nearby are well marked and well worth the time.
We had a great stay at this lovely B&B. Holly does a great job and nice add ons like wine and chocolates were appreciated. Breakfast was delicious. Very scenic location. Bellaire is in walking distance. Quaint town with decent options for eating. Love the area and will be back.
