We went snow skiing at Chrystal Mountain for the weekend. Decided to stay here even though it was 15 miles from the Ski resort. So glad we did! Cindi and Greg are wonderful host. The food was over the top. They made us feel at home. The rooms were very clean. This is one of the best B and B we have ever stayed at.

We stayed in The Lexington for one night. We planned to arrive well after check-in and Cindy and Greg set us up with a keyless coded entry and left the lights on for us so we could find our room. The house is ENORMOUS--the first floor is beautifully decorated, warm, inviting, cozy, and not stuffy at all. Our room had two shared bathrooms down the hall, but no one else was staying on our floor. We poked our heads into the other rooms and they were beautiful as well. I think a couple or individual would enjoy any of them, but I particularly liked the space in The Lexington--illusions of grandeur far greater than our room at home! I would love to stay in the Bear Lodge if we were there for a longer stay. The next morning I woke up to the smell of cake! We had breakfast at 9am--an array of coffee and juices, an egg souffle, and muffins. Cindy told us about some nice trails to check out, so we did that after we left. We had a great time and definitely preferred staying there over some random hotel in Manistee.

We stayed here for our 5th anniversary. They were so nice and the food was awesome. 20 min drive from so many different attractions. A lot of wineries and breweries and the lakeshores is always a must visit! Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I recently spent one night at the Bear Lake Bed & Breakfast and we were absolutely delighted by the hospitality of Cindy and Greg and the charming old Victorian home they shared with us. It was impeccably clean, very well decorated, has an interesting history, and is in a great location right in downtown Bear Lake. They served a fabulous breakfast in the morning as well. If you need a place to stay in Bear Lake, don't do a hotel, stay here instead!!!

Room Tip: They are all charming. If you have a third person, they have one room as an extension of another...

This was one of our first B and B experiences in the States. We were impressed by Cindi who was keen for us to make the most of our stay. She helped us to plan an interesting itinerary. This also included advise on where to eat. As we wanted a private bathroom we were given the 'Cooks Nook'. This is right off the kitchen and not a very big room. We were impressed with how quiet Greg was when preparing our breakfast. But this is something to think about when choosing a room. Cindi had thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The first morning we ate a beautiful (albeit very rich) breakfast by ourselves. There was real attention to detail and an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The second morning we were sat with other people. Although I like to be sociable, I wasn't really keen on eating my breakfast with strangers. Needless to say they were all lovely. We had a rather rainy couple of days so sadly didn't see the area at its best or enjoy the lake, which had been our intention. But we enjoyed our stay and wish Cindi and Greg all the best.
