I enjoyed my stay here- I was in town on business and was able to get a good price for a last minute stay- I actually stayed here twice in a two week time frame. My room was clean, front desk was fast and friendly, and my room was cold in this terrible heat we had. I would recommend this budget friendly motel.
Once we checked the room we immediately returned to office for a refund. Man at front desk was belligerent, combative and said things that were unworthy of a business person - WOW - Last thing we wated to hear at 11pm. Where are the city health inspectors? Read the reviews before you give these people your credit card. Still waiting for a full refund. Will persue once we return home.
The worst place I've ever stayed! It was completely disgusting! Everything was dirty! Blankets, carpet, sink, tub, walls. Shoddy repairs, a door going to another room that appeared to be nothing more than plywood with a handle. Definitely should have gotten a refund as I was too scared to really sleep due to the crappy door to the other room. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there!
Years ago, I used to stay at an economy chain in Dekalb, IL. It was the cheapest place in town. It had no amenities. I paid extra for television. But it was clean and neat and taken care of. I thought about this after my recent stay in this facility. To be fair, it was a cheap price for a room with a fridge and microwave. The bed was fine ad was the heat. But the appearance of the room was shocking. If I were an owner or manager, I would be embarrassed. The entire room had peeling paint and holes. The bathroom had flooring coming up. I refused to use the tub, which was filthy and stained. The room simply looked like a cheap dive. I did not expect this from a national chain. I hope someone from the regional manager checks this place out. It wouldn't even take that much investment. Some paint, spackle, and glue would take care of a lot of it, along with management that had some pride.…
The room smelled like a foot. There was a visible white chunky substance on the carpet under the little table, which I discovered when I tried to move the table to do some yoga. Needless to say after seeing that, yoga on the carpet was off the table. The sheets themselves seemed clean, but the blankets on top were visibly dirty. The staff were friendly but when we called to request extra towels, the desk promised them right away. An hour later we called again to politely remind them. We were told they were on their way. We never got them. The pool area however was really delightful, apparently clean and well-kept, as were the grounds of the motel. I liked the vibe of the breakfast area. But a dirty and ill-smelling room are deal killers to me.
