My granddaughter and I were traveling around the UP visiting some of the many frozen waterfalls. Lakeside Inn is conveniently located on M41, a main road that skirts Lake Superior. It is well kept, clean, and comfortable. It has 3 floors so there is plenty of room. The pool and hot tub were open and they were comforting after our outdoor adventures. There is a restaurant that has great food, good portions, and reasonably priced. I'm glad we were able to find this great spot.

Room Tip: Rooms on 'lake side' are quieter for a few dollars more. Road side was okay for us.

Nice, clean and well kept rooms. Small mini-fridge with a freezer. Was able to keep some ice cream frozen for later use. Girl at front desk was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Air conditioning unit kept room cool, without it running at wide open. Rare experience, compared to other places that I have stayed at.

Hotel is old and run down. Old smelly carpet- smells of a combination of mold and stinky feet and cigarette smoke. BathRoom had a light/fan combo switch, both turn on, fan had a very loud Scraping motor sound every time used. And housekeeping does not turn in items you forget I left my new phone charger plugged in behind bedside table. Called same day manager said housekeeping claims did not find it. It was laying across bedside table. I had to unplug clock because there was no charging option on bedside table. Pool and hot tube are dirt stained and slimy. Will never stay again. Don’t not recommended staying here.

I recently stayed here and was surprised that none of the staff wore any masks, no social distancing protocols at all, pretty much disregard for any COVID concerns. I am traveling during this time, so obviously not overly paranoid about COVID, but this was a little beyond lack of concern. If this is how they treat COVID, I'm hesitant to have much faith in any other hotel cleaning standards at all. The staff was friendly, but I don't think I will be staying here again.

Room with view of the lake is the best. I got a King Lakeside room. The room was nice, the view was amazing. Watched the thunderstorm roll in and the skies were beautiful. The hotel had plenty of places to sit and watch the lake. Wish they just had chairs facing the lake because the view is beautiful. There are tables and a couple of swings near the picnic area. The room was updated. I had a recliner chair in my room which I felt like I shouldn't sit in it but that is probably my germaphobe mentality. I heard noise from of the connecting rooms which was loud for about five minutes but then quiet after that.

Very quiet hotel! They had spacious rooms and were very clean and updated. Breakfast was only available for purchase in their restaurant. Family run hotel. Right on the bay with a great view. I would recommend staying there. A decent price for what it is!

Good location! Clean & comfortable rooms! The #1 thing I look for now days are adequate outlets (regular and USB on the night stand) and this was a fail. Had to unplug the clock and night lights and use our own extension.

The water view would be amazing if the parking lot wasn’t on the water side of the building. There’s a bench swing and a fire pit down on the shoreline.

The siding is being redone and the construction equipment started up at 7:15am!

For $166, I would expect breakfast, even if just continental, but not included.

Stayed in a handicap accessible room. Shower was installed so that the water sprayed all over the floor. The shower curtain was about 2 feet short. Bathroom flooded. Had to use all the available towels to clean it up. Dinner was burned. Waitress asked us if everything was ok other than the food being burned. No thermostat in the room. Housekeeping walked in on us in the morning... about an hour before checkout. Would not recommend this hotel.

We spent three nights in Baraga, basing there to see some of the Keweenaw. It was likely the best of the choices in the area. The room was large and comfortable, good bed, enough space to spread out a bit. The shower in the bathroom was too low for my husband and the top of the stall sloped so it was overall too short for him.

We had a corner waterside room on the south end. It was a nice view, and we enjoyed watching the birds. However, there was quite a bit of road noise, not enough to keep us awake but definitely louder than we're used to. It normally wouldn't have been as noticeable as it was, but the road was 55 mph with lots of 18-wheelers, so the traffic noise was magnified.

We had dinner at the on-site restaurant, and it was pretty underwhelming. The drive-in nearby was still open for the season, and we ate there several times.
