We stayed here for a few days while my husband fished in Chassel. It's an older motel but we found it quaint. Our room had two beds, one of them in its own separate room. The bathroom is tiny, as is the shower stall. Fridge and microwave, always appreciated. Pet-friendly, a must with us. There's an attached restaurant/bar....the salad bar...

This motel is right out of the 50's. Our room had a double bed which was clean and comfy. The sitting room had two chairs and a microwave and refrigerator and a nice flat screen TV. The view was spectacular and I enjoyed a glass of wine and my book on a chair down by the lake after a 7...

Every room has a view of Keweenaw Bay. This motel is quite old and very quirky. However, we have found it to be clean every time we have stayed here. The bathrooms are tiny and you will not get the kind of standard amenities you get in a modern chain motel. But the view is great and the owners are...

As others have said, this is not a "cookie cutter" chain motel--it is charming and cute, and the rooms are almost directly on Lake Superior, with only the road between. It's reasonably priced, comfortable, and clean, and provides a great view of the lake, which you can enjoy on the patio or from one of the chairs right outside your...

Strange place.... road noise is the killer here; however, the views are good from the rooms which are small.....hobbit like tiny timville. Room # 1 and 10 are nice but the rest are funky. I had called Carla and inquired about their motel. One reason I was looking at this motel was for their sauna.... I asked Carla about it...

We loved Carla's! Just what we were looking for on a road trip. The owner was friendly, helpful with directions and sites to see. We loved our room- quaint, clean, and all you need for a good night's rest. The view is gorgeous! Plenty of room outside to sit and observe the beautiful scenery. Cannot wait to return next time...

Carla's felt like home right away. Price is reasonable. It was clean, well maintained and the view is beatiful. If you need a sterile cookie cutter motel go somewhere else. Carla's is what the northwestern UP is about. The motel is older and has been kept up very well. Pretty and new shower curtain bedding and comfy bed. The deck...

The place was very weird but we were so tired we tried to overlook that. When we arrived all doors and windows were wide open because it was a nice day. Once the windows closed it started to smell. I have asthma and I woke at 3:00AM unable to breathe. It was cold by then and even with the bathroom...

Basic...Clean...and a unique place to spend one night. Great view of the bay..interesting rooms...all somewhat different. There were 5 us on on motorcycles and we like to stay at places were we can hang out in the evening and unwind. We are simple folks with simple needs....and Carla's was perfect. Very helpful owner who went out of his way to...

We stayed only two nights of our three night stay. The room was very small/short ceilings and 'sort of clean'. Numerous dead mosquitos were squished on the walls and ceilings. Well, we figured out why--the screens were quite full of holes. So, we turned on the AC so the windows could be closed and it would drown out road noise....
