We have only recently started staying at B&Bs, but our stay at the Inn on Main certainly topped the other places we have stayed at, hands down. We were greeted cheerfully and genuinely by Chris on arrival. He gave us a tour of the Inn and introduced us to Sarah. This couple is so warm and welcoming! I looked forward to seeing them and chatting with them each morning when we went down for breakfast. And speaking of breakfast - it is amazing! No continental breakfast here. Each morning, Chris whips up a two-course meal that is pleasing to both the eye and tummy. Yesterday morning, we had navel and mandarin orange slices with a light ginger syrup, topped with freshly shredded coconut flakes and mint from their garden, served in a beautiful glass bowl. This was followed by fresh blueberry Belgian waffles with your choice of maple syrup or homemade raspberry syrup, with turkey sausage links and strawberry garnish. The previous morning we had grilled pineapple followed by black forest ham/egg/mushroom cups on an English muffin, with a breakfast salad (cucumbers/tomato/basil with a vinaigrette, I believe). I'd never heard of a breakfast salad, but it was delicious! Sarah serves breakfast with a smile and interesting conversation. You can sit inside or outside on their patio overlooking their garden and water fountain. The rooms (and the Inn itself) are beautifully decorated and maintained and have everything you could need. We stayed in the Captain Crocker room, which is spacious and has the sink outside of the bathroom. Obvious thought and effort has been put into making this your home away from home, from a jewelry dish on the bedside table to a fresh carafe of water in your room each day, to sheets so crisp and soft that you sleep like a baby. Downstairs, there is a sitting area with plush chairs, a music room/library with a piano, a beverage and snack area with free refreshments and homemade cookies. Chris and Sarah also thoughtfully have a stash of items you may have forgotten from home, like toothpaste or sunscreen. Parking is plentiful and easy, just behind the Inn, and the Inn is within walking distance of several nice restaurants, including our favorite - the Golden Jalapeno (true Tex-Mex!). We will definitely be back when we visit the Cape again. Thank you, Chris and Sarah!

Sarah and Chris were great Innkeepers! We really enjoyed our time with them. They genuinely care about their guests and their property, which is very well taken care of. They have thought of everything when it comes to their guests' needs - from snacks and beverages in the common area to hand sanitizer and makeup remover in the guest rooms. The homemade cookies left for us in our room were also amazing and two course breakfasts in the morning were fantastic! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn on Main and would love to return one day in the future! :0)

Sarah and Chris have their routine and service sewn up so tight! They are amazing Inn Keepers and hosts, warm and welcoming from start to finish. My husband and I felt incredibly spoiled with breakfast and coffee each morning (and Oh what JOY to be cooked for instead of doing the cooking)! The Inn offer the choice of breakfast outdoors on a patio or in a small and lovely dining room. We chose outdoors each morning but our last when the rains and threat of hurricane Henri prompted some guests to leave early.

We stayed in the Yarmouth room and each night's sleep was divine on the comfortable bed. The rooms are well equipped including two robes in the closet, a dish for jewelry, a book full of recommendations, water glasses, good lighting for reading, seating and places to stand and/or hide away suitcases.

The Inn allows dogs which, in my opinion, is a large bonus. I could barely tell dogs were there except for when I got to see them and pet them. The inn is clean and very tastefully decorated with classic adornments, from cushy chairs in the common area to books, instruments and historical plaques in the library area.

Within in walking distance are two restaurants we at at, the Old Yarmouth Inn and Inaho Sushi. Our meals at both were delicious and I'd love to return to each. Instead of driving into beach parking at Mayflower Beach we chose to Uber and it was super easy both ways with about a 5 minute wait. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is very close to the Inn and I recommend making it a point to ride as far as you can for as long as you can stopping along the way for margaritas and candy at businesses dotting the trail. It's a fantastic way to spend a day and knock out some exercise.

The Inn on Main has something truly special going on and you must stay here at least once!

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Inn on Main, where we were hosted by Sarah and Chris. They are wonderful hosts that make you feel welcome immediately and provide any type of recommendation, ranging from the best views to enjoy a sunset, the ideal beach, restaurants around the Cape. It was great they provided beach towels, beach chairs and even beach umbrellas.

Breakfast is included and you can have it indoors or in a marvellous patio. Every day we started with a different cup of fruits with a home-made syrup. The first day this was followed by baked eggs with black forest ham, the second day we had lemon rind pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious and cooked by Chris! Sarah takes care of serving the tables and she made us feel so well with her kindness and great conversation. She checked in frequently with guests and even asked if we wanted more! We were so happy to choose this place. It was very quiet and packed with nice details! We'll be back next Fall... certainly with our bikes cause we saw some amazing bike trails. Highly recommended!

We just returned from a trip on the cape this weekend and had a lovely stay at Inn on Main. Innkeepers, Chris, Sarah and Crocker (their border collie mix), were gracious hosts and our family had a great time. Most attractions were about 15-20 min away so the location is perfect. Chris makes amazing two course breakfasts, there is a complimentary drinks/snack bar in the living room open throughout the day and fresh baked cookies and lemonade in the afternoon. We even brought our dog, Sesame, and Chris and Sarah had helpful pet friendly recommendations for lunch/dinner. Look forward to our next visit at the Inn!

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at the Inn on Main. The Inn itself is lovely, beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. Sarah and Chris made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. Our room was very nice, comfortable bed and linens. We appreciated special touches like the cookies in our room and the complimentary beverages that are always available. The breakfasts were outstanding, so delicious. Sarah and Chris were wonderful hosts and have clearly worked hard to make the Inn on Main a special place. I highly recommend the Inn on Main. We look forward to a return visit!

We needed a getaway, our first since March! We booked the Gray's Beach room, which is on the first floor. It is very spacious and has a huge, beautiful and well-appointed bathroom attached to it. Lots of closet space and drawers. Two comfy robes are provided, as are really nice bath products (I forgot to bring my shampoo and conditioner, so this was helpful!) We had our pup with us and he was welcomed with cookies and a bowl of water. The hosts have a sweet dog who knows to stay in his part of the house when the swinging door is closed. He sticks his little snout out, but dutifully obeys the rules. So cute! Chris and Sarah are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. They provide self serve coffee all day/night, as well as water, soda, beer and wine. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. All Covid safety measures were adhered to and we felt very safe and comfortable in this regard. Chris made a fire in the outdoor pit and we had a nice evening spent around it drinking wine and talking to the other guests and Chris. The Inn is centrally located and we were able to get to P-town in about an hour. Gray's Beach is a lovely spot, about a 5 minute drive away, to watch the sunset. Highly recommend eating dinner at The Old Yarmouth Inn, just a short walk from the Inn. It has been in operation since the 17th Century and the food is just delicious!

It’s a challenge to adequately describe in a few words how much we enjoyed our stay at the Inn on Main. Yarmouth Port is perfectly located on the Cape, and Sarah and Chris have created the perfect B&B. The first thing that caught our eye was how well maintained and clean the inn was. The grounds, setting and attention to detail throughout the property invites you to sit back and relax. Sarah and Chris have a knack for giving you whatever space/privacy you desire while also being extremely attentive to your needs. They are a delightful and fascinating couple and amazing innkeepers. The included breakfasts and local coffee were out of this world and were a great start to each day! We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and have stayed in and enjoyed many B&Bs along the way. Our stay at the Inn on Main topped all of our previous encounters!!

So Glad we found this place. We made a last minute decision to turn a day trip into an overnight stay. From the moment we called, to the moment we left, Chris, and Sarah exceeded all expectations. Chris set us up in a beautiful room with a fire place, if that was not enough , he asked us if we would like him to get a fire going for when we arrived. and recommended a great spot close by for us to stop for dinner before we checked in. When we arrived, Chris and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed to make our night comfortable, and invited us to grab snacks, and refreshments they had available and relax in the living room by the fire, . We never did make it back down stairs that evening, because our room had a warm fire going, and was too comfortable to part with. Morning Breakfast was a real treat with fresh citrus salad, and Belgian Waffles, with Home made syrup. All of which was almost as wonderful as the hospitality and warmth of the Hosts. If you are looking for a great Bed and Breakfast with the best the Cape has to offer, you have found it at the Inn on Main.

Staying at the Inn on Main for an impromptu one-night trip to Cape Cod was an excellent decision. Sarah and Chris were the perfect hosts and were so warm and inviting. They were very knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations for our short stay. The property oozes charm both inside and outside, and was in the perfect location. The room was cozy, and the bed and pillows were really comfy. We loved the chocolate scones that welcomed us to the inn, and the breakfast panini in the morning was absolutely delicious! We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back in the future. We also really appreciated their Covid conscious accommodations. Thank you for everything, Sarah and Chris!
