Very excited to be back with The Treehouse Lodge as things begin to open again in Massachusetts. The Treehouse Lodge has always had the highest standards in their rooms, suites, the property and every experience I have had staying here has been top notch. That is why I would not hesitate to stay here again, now soon, which I am going to. Next review in person coming soon from Woods Hole at The Treehouse Lodge

We stayed at the Treehouse Lodge in early fall, to attend a wedding nearby. The location was ideal for us. Amazing water views a short walk away, the village of Woods Hole and delightful places to eat within walking distance, and the Cape Cod rail trail very close by. The property appears to have been recently renovated, and the vibe is hip, modern, and sort of quirky. The furniture and decorations seem new; there is cool art in the courtyard. I liked it, though despite the facelift, the bones of this place are still those of an older seaside motel. That meant that the bathroom was small (like showering in a small phone booth), the walls were thin, and the conversations in the courtyard carried right into the room. If these are your expectations, this is a really cool place at a reasonable (by Cape standards!) price.

Treehouse is in the name. The rustic nature of TL is part of its charm. I chose to stay for the fire pit, picnic tables, cornhole game and quiet hours as much as proximity to the downtown and ferry. TL is not upscale. It is not meant to be, does not pretend to be. For this reason I was surprised by some comments made by other reviewers. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom could use some TLC but it was clean and stocked. Our (renovated) room (#1, I think) had a skylight. When we arrived the room had a bit of a musty odor but it was gone after opening the windows and louvered glass door panes. Complimentary bottled water and coffee maker made our early morning departure more productive. Free parking in WH is a huge plus. Space is at a premium in the Village and skipping this expense was another plus.

We stayed at this fantastic lodge for a wedding weekend in early October. Super clean room, newly renovated rooms with a mid-century modern-ish aesthetic. A very comfortable bed, small couch, fridge, microwave, and single-serve coffee maker were perfect for a couple. I will also add that the “small but mighty” hair dryer came in handy! For such a small cozy lodge-type property, I found each interaction with the staff exceptional! From the initial phone call to book the room, to check in and check out, the level of professionalism was on par with what you might expect from a 4-star Inn. In addition, we left behind 2 articles of clothing and they called right away to make arrangements to return items to us. I would highly recommend!

My room was a hammock room- it was very sweet but...$150 + for a room with broken tiles and gross carpeting was a stretch. Also, my toilet seat was not attached to the toilet and it was gross to slide around whenever I sat down. My mom had a pet friendly room and paid waaayyy more than that and her room was so moldy that she had allergies the whole time. I felt that the rates were high for what was offered. They did have somemores and a fire which was great- the courtyard was very nice. The plants are beautiful and grounds are nice.It just missed the mark and was too expensive for what was offered- rooms small. It was hard not to feel ripped off and gauged - would be reluctant to suggest to family members who would have been skeeved out by some of the rooms.

Thank you for taking the time out to share your feedback. We are saddened to hear we missed the mark for you and your family. Our " tiny house movement" style rooms is an effort to take that Carbon Footprint while remaining the most budget-friendly option here in Woods Hole. We were even more disappointed to read that the toilet seat was broken and that your mother's allergies were an issue. We wish we could have learned about this while you were here and would love an opportunity to make it right with you. We are thrilled you did enjoy our Fireball and S'mores and felt that our grounds were beautiful and do hope you will be able to join us again. We would love for you to reach out to us directly and speak to either Ladonna or Amanda regarding your stay at 508-548-1986. Best, Ladonna ~ Assistant Manager
