Entering the River Bend Farm is a walk back in time. It's an authentic colonial home full of interesting antiques. Just like house museums throughout New England – but one you can settle into for the night! So glad we discovered it. River Bend Farm is a special place, lovingly maintained and thoughtfully managed. Just a really memorable experience. Some... More

This historical home of the founder of Williamstown has history, feels like we are back to the tavern it once was with its original décor--the beauty of its well kept property and the ambience of its owners Judy and David. The guests are from all places in the US and the world, all seem so bright (many have children either... More

We started and ended a five day Appalacian Trail hike at the River Bend Farm. The trip was a special one for us as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary . River Bend Farm was the perfect place for us to choose. What a lovely place! The Inn is beautiful and so comfortable. Dave and Judy helped us to... More

I first stumbled onto River Bend Farm with some colleagues, who found it for a trip up to the Williamstown Theater Festival, in 1987, to see Nathan Lane in John Guare's "Moon Over Miami". Meticulously maintained by Dave and Judy Loomis, this historically correct Inn never lets me down. Twenty nine years later a trip to see Marisa Tomei in... More

My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at River Bend Farm. If you are into history this place is like a museum and you get to stay in it! Dave and Judy have done an amazing job not only restoring it but putting in little touches to add to its authenticity. I am very particular about the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the RBF. Dave and Judy have meticulously restored this 1770 home. Amazing fireplaces in most rooms, very comfortable. Nice people and a good breakfast, wish we stayed longer. A real treat. Mike and Janice W.

My daughter and I spent the night at River Bend Farm when we attended an exhibit at the Clark Museum. The charm and authenticity of this 1770 tavern made the trip all the better. Though we were surrounded by colonial history, we were also completely comfortable. The hosts, Dave and Judy, are friendly and knowledgeable about the history as well... More

River Bend Farm is a truly unique inn. The owners have meticulously and lovingly restored this 1760 inn to make it faithful to the era in almost every detail. The furnishings, decor, and setting are historically accurate while providing 21st century comforts like window air conditioners and comfortable beds. Our hosts, Dave and Judy, were welcoming and friendly. They served... More

This bed and breakfast is a delightful place to relax and unwind from the stress of daily life. I recently spent one night here with three friends in celebration of someone's retirement, and we all agreed we should have stayed for two nights. Dave and Judy are gracious and interesting people who obviously love hosting guests in this very old... More

Our family of 2 parents and 3 teenagers really loved staying here over the weekend. Delicious, healthy breakfasts in a charming, historic building from 1770. The welcoming couple who owns it showed us their garden, giving the kids raw asparagus to eat right there, which they really liked. Only 1 shower downstairs, though this wasn't a problem for our family... More
