We had a wonderful time at the Bayside Resort. The room was clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was bountiful. Everything was fresh and delicious . We enjoyed a drink in the pub and left a one dollar bill to remind us of the great time we had there.
We loved how pretty the room was the towels were folded so nicely and the breakfast. Buffet was amazing for a continental breakfast. We will come back again to sit by the fire pit never got a chance this time! The in room jacuzzi tub was very relaxing it was the perfect quick getaway spot.
an older property (WITH NO ELEVATORS), but the rooms are clean & the staff is very friendly. the breakfast has a lot of options, but the eggs were sort of yucky. the outdoor area & evening fire pits were an added bonus. they have a HUGE game room for the kids & a nice area with a TV to relax & hang out for the parents - these areas & the breakfast room are downstairs, again with no elevator.
Very disappointed with our stay, room and service, or should i say lack of service, no room service after several request, if you needed anything you were expected to chase after it, just what i want to do on vacation, staff was unfriendly,
We were extremely disappointed with our stay, when turning on the whirlpool brown scum would float across the top. I explained to the girl at checkout and didn't care, the first words out of her mouth was that the manager wouldn't do anything. Apparently this is a common theme with these rooms.
An old, outdated style hotel. The room was clean although a sloppy job of caulking on the molding on the base of the bathtub really made the bathroom seem shabby. The WiFi was barely 5mbps, almost too slow as to be unusable. An open network also isn't so great, it'd be much better if it was a password protected network. The DirectTV was OK, a shame that there weren't any Pay-Per-View movies that we could find. Now onto the good stuff. We asked for a quiet room and we got a really nice, quiet room. It was very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast Buffet was one of the best we've ever had. Staff at the front desk and in the Breakfast were really excellent. Nice too that you can get decent coffee in the Breakfast room anytime up until 11pm. It's really a 3-Star Hotel, but the staff and really good breakfast bumped it up to 4-Stars. We'd would definitely stay there again too.…
Our very first visit to the Cape! I SCOURED TripAdvisor for reviews before finally booking Bayside. Pros: -Really good location! We found it super easy to get everywhere! Beaches, restaurants and entertainment. Nothing was really within walking distance…so plan to take your car most places. -The view! The view of the bay is BEAUTIFUL! Their man made beach sits on the bay and is perfect for kids. They have Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs to sit in. -The breakfast. I was really impressed by the selection! Eggs, muffins, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, cereals, bacon and sausage. The staff working were quick to refill things and clean up. **you can also eat breakfast outside next to the beach area. -the outdoor and indoor pools were great! My 4 year old loved swimming! The hot tub is for kids 16 years and up. My daughter LOVES hot tubs at hotels and goes in just briefly with my kids or husband. We let her in one morning when it was quiet. Someone from the front desk rushed right in and scolded us. -the room. It felt clean (although I’m not a huge fan of carpet in hotels!) and having DIRECTV available was really a plus. Cons: -post-COVID housekeeping. I get not cleaning the room everyday-but we stayed for 4 nights. I would expect some attention to our room. You have to give 24 hours notice if you want them to come clean. You have to get ALL towels from the front desk. Which is annoying. No towels at the pool. We called the front desk from our room for bathroom towels-because we were 5 people staying in a room for 4 days. The lady said we could come to the desk. They literally won’t even bring towels to your room. Or clean it. Housekeeping picked up towels outside our room but didn’t replace. I found this to be super annoying. At a $250+/night hotel the least they could do is bring towels to your room. -Staff. Most of the staff I found to be rather unfriendly. One or two women working at the front desk were kind and warm but I found the rest to be pretty cold and annoyed. -late checkout. I know times are tough for hotels but be prepared to be charged if you leave your room more than 30 min after checkout. I believe it’s $20 for every 30 min. You can pay to have a late checkout but nothing is a courtesy. -they have a bar outside by the outdoor pool which we thought was great. But the bartender couldn’t have been more unfriendly. And the coke was super weak-I didn’t dare bring it back to her though. -pool. From our two times at the pool it seemed a lot of people had visitors at the pool. We thought this was a little annoying because while maybe 2 people were staying at the hotel they would have 5-10 people visiting to swim. One lady had tables reserved for everyone coming to visit and we couldn’t get a table. Not sure how you monitor this but I would recommend they do. It also seemed maybe people from the hotel across the street were using the pool too. They would use the bathrooms and change and then occupy a lot of chairs/tables. -the hotel had quite a bit of availability while we stayed-we asked to have a room with a view and they said our booking only came with a basic room. There was no friendly gesture to “upgrade” us to a better view. They wanted to charge us an additional $40/night. But with some convincing came down to $30/night. GET A ROOM WITH A BAY VIEW. ITS WORTH IT. THE OTHER ROOMS ARE SUPER BASIC WITHOUT IT.…
I was here for a long weekend with my kids. Rooms were clean and comfortable, indoor pool open late, breakfast was included and was pretty good. Nothing fancy but had several options. Outdoor pool was nice with a poolside bar and two fire pits for evening marshmallow roasts or just enjoying the night. Small game room with a few options and an exercise room. Overall it checked off all the boxes, oh and a nice bar for the adults open until 11 on the premises. Highly recommend.
A basic two storied hotel. Register first and then drive around to your rooms. Even number rooms are facing the road and odd number rooms face the parking and have balconies. Rooms are quite spacious with iron, TV, coffee machine, hair dryer and toiletries, pool towels. Housekeeping is provided by request only and a 24 hour notice is required. Breakfast is not very lavish but good. Outdoor and indoor swimming pools There is a bonfire in the evenings. Games room for children with a billiards table. There is a fitness centre in the hotel. Tea/Coffee/soft drinks are available in the breakfast area all along the day. Coupons given on check in: one per person for one free drink during the stay under $10. Discount coupons for $6 discount on dinner Microwave provided in the breakfast room to heat food which you get from outside There is a bar at both the pools. Outdoor pool bar closes early. Check out time is 11 AM Delayed check out rates 12 noon $20 1PM $30 6 PM $75 There is a small sandy beach in front of which is a salty Marsh. There is a lot of seating available here and bonfire in the evening There is no restaurant on site, only breakfast is served in the morning…
Nice hotel with good amenities but rooms need refurbish. Shower dribbles out and is barely sufficient to be functional. Bar is advertised as serving food but food is ordered in from a local restaurant and we had bartender reject an order as ‘too small’. Ground floor rooms suffer from noise from rooms above. Friendly staff. Great fire pits. Good breakfast.
