A stay at the Barnaby Inn is a must if you're traveling to the Cape area. The inn itself offers a clean & cozy night stay in a beautiful, convenient area. You are less than a mile away from the beach yet walking distance of all the local hot spots. Lorieanne cooked an amazing breakfast and is very accommodating. Apparently the place has just re-opened this year and they re-furnished most of the rooms including the one I stayed in. The place looks great and I plan on making a return trip before the end of the year. Obviously I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

My partner & I have stayed at The Barnaby Inn on several occassions & found Laurieann (and Snickers) to be a gracious & welcoming host.
We are not generally B&B or Inn people however we loved our stays at Barnaby Inn.

ROOM:
The rooms are comfortable & cosy - we have stayed in both the Rose Room & Captain Kelley Room - both offer a fireplace and jacuzzi bath, and are traditionally furnished with modern touches. Rooms have flatscreen TV, DVD, fridge, sofas etc - so are really well appointed. I would also add that both rooms were extreamely clean.
Laurieann is happy to help - be it restaurant recomendations, ice, borrowing beach chairs she is wonderfully accomodating.
There are free DVD's available as well as a wide variety of Books & Magazines available.

FOOD:
Breakfast was delivered to our room on a tray each morning at an agreed time & everyday offered great variety.
In the afternoon trays of cookies are left out so you can help yourself.

My wife and I stayed at Barnaby Inn just prior to getting married. We very much wanted a short, relaxing stay somewhere to recharge before our wedding. It. Was. Perfect. When we arrived, our host, Joseph, had fresh-baked cookies and such waiting. We stayed in a queen room (#3) which was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. But, after having a tour of the house, all the rooms are quite nice and each has its own allure. Joseph is an amazing host...full of info and suggestions, very accommodating, and an excellent cook! He made french toast bake and banana bread that were quite delightful! But, most importantly, he was not intrusive in any way. He very much respected our privacy while being available when necessary. This was the first time we stayed in a B&B, and although we don't have anything to compare it to, I feel this place has set the bar high. I've read many reviews on B&B's that, honestly, caused me to stay away from them until now...they just never seemed to be what I look for when traveling. Barnaby Inn came on a recommendation from a friend so we gave it a go and were not disappointed. We will certainly stay again. One key thing for us was that each room has a private bathroom which does not seem to be the case with other B&B's. Stay here! Enjoy!!

Had a wonderful two night stay at this lovely inn which is just a short drive from the beach and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Loved the decor and the historic character of the building. The inn is filled with beautiful paintings made by the owner. They also feature a delicious cocktail made using wine from the neighboring vineyard!

The house is beautiful and the staff are very nice and tentative. Cookies and beverages are always available and quite good! Breakfast was a continental set up and everyone can sit at their own table. Did not feel too much like you are sharing the experience with other travelers or staying in someone's house. But they did not ruin anything for us. Inn is conveniently located for excursion and restaurants. I would stay again if I am in the area.

My husband and I stayed at Barnaby Inn for two nights to attend a wedding nearby. I wish we had booked a longer stay! The inn boasts a cute cozy atmosphere, comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub, and some of the best customer service I've ever dealt with. Joseph, the proprietor, was amazingly helpful, going so far as to book our room for us in advance of the calendar being open, allowing us to check in an hour early so we could make the afternoon rehearsal/cocktail reception, providing an afternoon snack for us when we missed breakfast, and prepping our fridge with a "takeout" breakfast for us when we had to leave early for the airport. He even drove us to the wedding! It was honestly one of the best B&B / hotel experiences I've ever had. Highly recommended.

My sister and I stayed in the " sisters room" absolutely beautiful, clean and decorated perfect. The owner, Lorieanne was so accommodating and sweet. Breakfast muffins hot and fresh as well as the coffee every morning. The Inn is beautiful along with the decor and yard. She is also a massage therapist, my sister and I both agreed it was the best massage we ever had. Very reasonable also. Things really could not have been better. Hope to return soon! My husband and I stayed in the Rose Room and found it spacious and charming. Our Hostess, Laurieann, was accommodating to our late arrival needs by keeping our room open and our porch light on. We actually didn't check -in until we checked-out!

Breakfast was delivered to our door each morning and what a feast each was. Esp. enjoyed the fresh fruit crepes!

Everything was perfect., property is lovely...only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

This was our third visit to The Barnaby Inn. We vacation in New England every summer for two weeks. We look forward each year to returning to one of our favorite places, The Barnaby Inn. The owner has a wealth of knowledge on where to eat, places to go and things to do. In addition, she makes a wonderful breakfast and delivers it to your room. This is a terrific treat while relaxing on vacation.

We are already looking forward to our trip again to The Barnaby Inn next summer. We wouldn't think of staying any place else on the Cape. The location is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The owner makes us feel like part of the family.

I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Barnaby Inn! I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled after reading an awful review by a person who apparently never even stayed at this inn.

My experience was lovely from the start. The accomodations were well appointed, comfortable and quaint. The morning breakfast, which was delivered to my door, was abundant and of high quality (honestly, I overate the yummy mini-muffins, they were so tasty) and the coffee was perfect - important to many of us. The innkeeper was very sweet and couldn't do enough to accomodate me in any way. Once there, I was surprised to learn that she is also a masseuse and she gave me a phenomenal massage; just what I needed after hours of driving in the car. It was so convenient to just toddle back to my room in the fluffy robe she provided v. have to drive back to a hotel after a spa-quality treatment.

I haven't stayed at a B&B in years and this one was very nice and made me think I should consider them in the future. The Barnaby Inn had all the amenities I needed and more. Additionally, it was well located. I'd definitely return again.
