Fabulous location! The house is located close to great restaurants, shops and mini golf. There are refrigerators designated by room. Breakfast is continental which worked for us. Love being directly on the beach...can’t say enough about that. Also close to ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. We did a day trip to MV. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. We already booked the entire house for a family celebration.
Looking for a last minute trip to Cape Cod, when we discovered this gem. Our room had a deck that led directly to a private beach and yards to Nantucket Sound. Morning breakfast provided, self made sandwich for lunch on our deck, made for a very relaxing stay. A shared kitchen, grille and a dedicated refrigerator, .allow for home made meals for those so inclined. West Dennis is a perfect spot on the Cape that offers something for everyone. Far enough away from the bridges to experience the slow paced Cape experience.
After spending 4 days in Boaton and on Martha's Vineyard, we needed a few days of beach time to relax and soak up the sun. The Beach House Inn did not disappoint! We loved hanging out with other families, sitting on the beach in the chairs provided, storing our groceries in the quaint kitchen, and practically sleeping on the beach - that's how close we were to the water. We rented room 2 upstairs in the middle. It was clean, spacious and provided an unbelievable view. Mark was our host, and he was so easy going and polite. Time slowed down when we walked through the door, and we experience the relaxation we were looking for.
The wind was blowing but we sat in the enclosed Main porch 200 ft from the waves and watched the Vineyard Sound every morning while we drank our tea. The gentlemen who run the place were very relaxed and if you needed anything you had their cell number. They worked hard to clean rooms and even fished with a young boy/guest in the Ocean. Adventure awaits, kayaks, paddle boards and play equipment are there to borrow. Parking is right outside, ample space with sand lot. The beds/pillows were just right, not firm or soft and everything was clean. The linens were nice, super soft light weight blankets and our room had a ceiling fan and full length window which is handy when it gets hot. Super black out curtains also. Our room had a "private open deck" and steps to the beach so we could have tea and privacy. The Wifi and flat screen TV in the corner of our room was working well. The bathroom had the best shower ever with hot water that was plentiful and a shower head that really massaged you. There is also a BBQ available. Each room has a mini refrigerator assigned. The Cons: The kitchen is in the basement and the lighting is poor. I decided not to cook after I saw it. There is no dish washer on the porch but the sink is set up with dishes and cups for coffee and tea. Since there is no bleach or hot (140 degree) water to sterilize the silverware you are sharing germs with the other guests- like influenza. Sound: This is a home, not hotel so the walls are so thin you hear everything. We woke early every morning with the sound of a baby crying and the TV played cartoons all morning loudly in the family room. This was not the anniversary spot one couple was looking for- other guests. Solution- rent the whole house! The view is worth it.…
It was clean but the bed was hard. Great for a last minute room though. Parking is horrible. Loved the floors and the room had a stove, a fridge and freezer. The water gets veryyyyyyy hot which is a major plus. Only thing is room 208 had a leak in the knob to turn on the faucet.
