Food is excellent. Love the atmosphere. Love the view. The room, so relaxing . I loved the solitary or the opportunity to mingle. Joan was great , fun entertaining and very warm.the staff is very comical .
When we arrived, with a confirmed reservation, Joan told us that they did not have a room for us. Joan admitted many times that she failed to block out the hotel as sold out. The hotel is far from any other lodging options. When we suggested that she find us other lodging she got very angry, saying that they were sold out. Again she admitted that it was due to her not blocking out reservations. In the end she put us in an employee's room. Literally employee housing. She couldn't or wouldn't figure out how to change the rate. I'm not sure what the going rate for employee housing is?? So we paid for a beach front room and got workforce housing. Beyond that the hotel is in serious need of some TLC, the pool " bar" hasn't seen a staff member for many weeks, no cushions for the lounge chairs, many in disrepair. Looks nothing like the pictures. Sad it could be a nice property. The restaurant, however was very good. …
The restaurant. Please review the recipe of a ceviche! What a disappointment. But worst was the music, Sinaloa Banda !!! It is very clear that the employees run the place there ... and it looks like they are having a lot of fun ... Sad cause it used to be a good place.
We had a Double Queen room and it was beyond comfortable, clean, well appointed, quiet, and very stylish. The views are to die for and the staff is very kind and attentive (especially Alberto). It felt like a family all working together. The menu and Dante the chef were so impressive. I have lived in Italy and France and would give their Chicken Marsala a world class ranking, but try the surf & turf in molcajete too if you want the best of Baja! The eggs benedict are also excellent, as is the entire brunch menu. I can't wait to return over and over to this one of a kind hotel and stunningly beautiful location. Oh yeah, if you're lucky enough to be there on a weekend, the farmer's market on Sunday morning is excellent, with fresh local organic produce, fish, and meat as well as local handcrafted art.…
We've been staying at this hotel few days ago (November 2021). It was our honeymoon trip and we chosed the highest suite at VidaSoul to enjoy it. We staid 4 days and spent in total 1160 USD for 4 nights and 4 extra meals. The guys that are working there are awesome (special mention to Alberto and Jorge:) Spot is beautiful and food is good (but a bit expensive). Bad points : 1. There is a water problem, so it was no water pressure in the room, neither in the bath, the shower or the toilet. The first day we tried to take a bath with this beautiful view (as shown on the promotional picture, with a picture like that you may want to try it :D but we it was very few hot water, and very low pressure, plus there was a water lick on the bath so half of water was just licking on the ground). We called staff, but on my mind they couldn't do much things about this. They puted a towel on the ground to dry the water on the ground. Hot water came back for 2 minutes and went again. they couldn't really fix it like that. Too bad for our bath moment. So you may rather take a shower. But it was so little pressure that my wife couldn't even wash her hair during those 4 days (and still this warming water problem that comes and go). Third day our toilet was blocked (without putting any paper). We had a bad time before daring to call the staff to fix it :/ When you pay that price, and you re in honeymoon, you hope not having this kind of problem. 2. we communicate our insatisfaction to Joan the owner of the place. She just denied our problem (first saying that there in no such problem in the hotel which we perfectly know is wrong because I've been told other rooms had this kind of problem), and she kept answering a strange way (she even said it must be no problem since wee took a picture with Alberto from the staff, which is totally irrelevant), for finally saying it is Latina America and things are complicated. I share all the WhatsApp conversation so people can see it by themselves.…
Hotel VidaSoul captured my soul and recharged my batteries. A gem of a hotel with a W Hotel aesthetic. The staff are incredibly welcoming and interesting. The chef had amazing specials everyday on the quality level of much more pricey Flora Farms or Acre in San Jose Del Cabo. We ate practically all of our meals at the hotel and were never bored. The hotel has an intimate vibe and you can chat it up with the other guests. The hotel is right on the beach and you hear the surf pounding in your room. The landscape is wild and wonderful, horses and cows wander the roads. Cabo Pulmo is nearby with amazing snorkeling. I plan to go back next year.
If you’re looking for a remote, gorgeous, quiet vacation- look no further. Vidasoul is off the beaten path but with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Delicious food, safe environment and friendly staff ensured a wonderful stay for my family. Comfortable beds and exquisite views. Power is solar, water is delivered and do not expect television. Enjoy the stars, perfectly predictable waves and hospitality of this east cape gem.
Never a bad meal, staff interaction or view here. Just a peaceful and relaxing experience. We enjoyed hanging out with the other families too! Wish we had direct flights from SAT to Cabo. Our 8 yr old kept repeating how beautiful everything was and insisted we tip Alberto. Great memories.
Angel and the entire staff are wonderfully hospitable, warm and kind. They'll make you feel welcome and enjoy your stay. Vidasoul is a great place to get away from crowds while still enjoying a comfortable hotel. I recommend a sturdy car to get around. Mine was smaller and worked ok, but I had to go slow over a lot of bumps.
The hubs and I came on down to Cabo for a belated by a year 25th Anniversary celebration. We really had no desire to play the Cabo hotel game, and wanted something different without compromising our love for luxe. Vidasoul was that perfect balance. I'm so glad we rented a 4x4 with high clearance, as it made the drive out less worrisome. We LOVED the location - breathtaking Pacific views, white sandy beaches - deserted - for days in either direction, donkeys in the road, and miles upon miles of watching the cactus kiss the sea. I'm also glad we sprung for the master room - sliding glass floor-to-ceiling doors opened literally onto the pool and beach, incredible concrete floors and walls with a killer aesthetic complete with metallic skulls that made this goth-at-heart girl feel right at home, and a minimalist approach to everything from decor to ethos. Angel and his crew in the kitchen kept us well fed and kept me well cocktailed from morning til night... delicious ceviche and tacos and guac and salsa - hells yes! I've seen some reviews of people annoyed at the prices and/or lack of availability at times and I'm just like - what on earth is wrong with you? Who hurt you, seriously???? You are in the literal middle of nowhere! The food doesn't magically arrive there, and it sure as hell doesn't get all the way there for free!!! Like one morning, they were out of a lot of stuff for breakfast. Want to guess what we did? We ordered what was available, ate it, loved it, and said thank you! Sheesh people, calm down ok? Anyway, this place is simply perfect... close enough to hit Flora Farms for a meal but far enough away that you forget the bustle of Cabo even exists. Super chill and relaxed vibe, caring and very competent staff, excellent accommodations, kick-ass food and drinks, and the ultimate escape that you know you need. I almost wanted to keep this place all to myself, but I love seeing them doing well so I suppose I'll share my getaway secret with you!…
