"Exquisitely off the grid" An elegant eco-hotel, Villa del Faro is a unique oasis nestled on a deserted beach. The Villa was created with the integrity of the surrounding desert in mind. We offer solitude instead of shops, safe swimming beaches, great books, gourmet food, snorkeling, surfing, and just pure beauty! One hour north of the Los Cabos Airport, but a world away in seclusion and serenity. Eight separate Casitas. Breakfast included.

As everyone else has said this is an amazing place. The beauty can not be beat. The pool, rooms, beach, flowers, people are all lovely. Our only drawback was that dinner was just o.k.- seemed very basic for $50 a person (ex Sara Lee deserts!) We had a great vacation.

The Villa del Faro is absolutely spectacular for two big reasons--its breathtaking natural beauty by the Sea of Cortez with a pristine beach, majestic palm trees, flowers and cacti, and the family and staff who share this eco-resort with their fortunate guests. Great care has been taken to build and furnish the Villa with original art and traditional crafts. The casitas are spacious and airy with windows that open to the sound of the sea. From the colorful tiled patio outside our room, we watched humpback whales breach with their young. There are many quiet spaces to listen to the birds, read, and truly relax. The food is excellent, healthy and delicious, beautifully served by a staff that is at once professional, friendly, and kind. We especially enjoyed dining in the open air bar by the chiminea on a cool evening, chatting with the personable bartender. Our stay at Villa del Faro is hands-down the loveliest vacation we've ever taken, for its colorful ambiance and warmth of the people who maintain such a paradise. It is unlike any place we've previously been, with its unusual blend of beauty, comfort and stewardship of the land.

This is one of those hidden jewels that you have no idea is there, unless you drive up the poorly marked driveway. The food was excellent, the drinks, too and it was a wonderful place to just relax. It is not easy to get to, but once you do, you won't want to leave!

Villa del Faro exceeded my expectations. I was worried about there not being any air conditioning, but each building has many windows to open and allow the cool ocean breezes in. Plus, the trees and many structures provide ample shade. The main house is gorgeous and we enjoyed cocktails one evening in the massive living room. Although the family does live there, we felt welcomed in all spaces. We were in Casita Dos, north. It is a large bedroom with separate sitting area and bathroom with sink and toilet. It has a large patio, which is shared with the attached casita. We had an outdoor shower, which I loved until an enormous spider showed up in it. The bed is extremely comfortable. We spent 2 nights after having been a week in Cabo. It was wonderful to relax, swim, walk on the beach and have nothing we had to do! The food was quite delicious! Some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had and fantastic margaritas. Thank you to Ellie, Allie, Candy, and Eddie for a relaxing time in your beautiful villa!

Incredibly beautiful and kind people. I have traveled all over this world from basic to 4- star elegant places to stay. But here at Villa de Faro it surpasses the others. And they are genuine and down to earth. The surroundings that they have created, the careful planning to bring detail, charm and class to your eyes is amazing. The pool is great as is each Castina. The views, beaches, meals and privacy are calm to the soul. The family and hotel staff deserve their own gold star separate from a rating as their attention to detail of what they have labored to build is magnificent. Just so you know I have never met the family before or stayed here. This is my and my wife's own feeling and we WILL be back. And it is very reasonable too.

Our small family met at villa del faro for a whole week and we were all blown away, what a magical place! The pictures don’t do it any justice. You can spend days and days discovering the beautiful art around the property, the family spent a lot of love creating this place and we were fortunate enough to find it. We had casita dos, the Bali room and the pool house and everything was perfect, housekeeping is excellent, our bartender Asiel is a joy and the food was great. I am running out of words on how to describe this experience, I hope we have the opportunity to return. My younger daughter said, that if she ever would get married, then this is the place

This is a great hotel with wonderful service, very spacious, wonderful rooms, there is a Stonehouse on the beach or someone can sleep but be ready for crashing waves in your head, our room looked North over a curving beach and was fantastic, they have a pool house with a beautiful room and another building with two separate bedrooms. Food was excellent. Bar selection outstanding, and wonderful French press coffee in the morning.

A beautiful old inn perched over a sparkling, quiet beach. We had a wonderful time on an anniversary trip. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and give personalized attention. The food is fresh and excellent. The hotel is small and intimate. Highly recommended for those who want to get away from the crowds, resort and party environment of Cabo San Lucas. The only disappointment is that there is no lunch service and few choices to find food. Would recommend stopping at a market on the way to purchase items for lunchtime.

We just spent an amazing weekend at Villa del Faro, and it won't be our last. This tiny resort on a gorgeous stretch of East Cape beach is stunning in every way. From every room, from the bar, restaurant, pool and decks the view is mind-blowing, as is the inn itself. Artfully detailed, gorgeously designed, meticulously maintained, there is nothing that could be improved upon. We had intended to wander out for some of our meals but we just couldn't leave, and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious home-cooked cuisine. It's a bit of a challenging drive to get there, but so worth it!

Excellent place to enjoy Cabo's East Coast. Unique accommodations (we had the Bali Room), great beach, awesome views and good service. Breakfast is included on the fare - I had chilaquiles & huevos rancheros. Plenty of fruits & coffee. The bar opens at 5pm and dinner (optional) is served after 6pm in a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. Thanks to the owners & staff for keeping this great lodge available to us. We will come back!
