Located on a quiet residential side street just 4 house lots from the water. Close to everything yet much quieter than other locations. Comfortable, casual and convenient. We have views toward the harbor. We are a 2 minute walk back to town. We have a golf course (9 holes) 2 miles up the road. Great running for distance runners, 5 K course mapped out. Vineyard Haven is no longer dry. Wine and Beer and alcohol with a meal is available. Beach towels provided. Laundry for a fee. An amazing homemade breakfast with fresh scones, muffins or croissants. Try the incredible yogurt parfaits and see if you can guess the ingredients. Your breakfast isn't complete without one of Jeff's sandwiches or world famous egg wraps. We would be surprised if you ate lunch that day as breakfast is filling and taste so good.

I fly private jets and happen to have an overnight on Martha’s Vineyard island.
This property was highly recommended by the General aviation operators at the airport.
This property what is the typical New England bed-and-breakfast you would expect however the owners of the property were exceptionally helpful and very pleasant.
The rooms were pleasant and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.
They had an open bar and honor system so you could fix yourself an adult beverage and then just put a little cash in the drawer. I found it very comfortable and they also had the most delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies out for you to enjoy.
The owners also provided the very best breakfast burrito I have ever had. They asked when we were departing in they had it ready for us to take with us exactly the time we had stated for our departure.
I’ll be coming back for a personal visit next month and to bring my wife and family.
By the way you do not need a car, it’s just a five minute walk to the beach and Harper. A 10 minute walk to all kinds of shopping and great restaurants. The owners suggested we eat at the Black Dog restaurant and was amazing.

We had a wonderful weekend at Crocker House. The House is a short walk from town and the Steamship Authority landing. Our room had a nice view of the harbor, and was clean and very well decorated. The inn keepers were friendly, and very helpful.

my sister and i went to marthas vineyard this june ,before we got off the ferry we already were in love .it is the best place on earth ,we stayed at the crocker house in ,and our room was beautiful.the crisp white sheets and the thin feather duvet cover on the bed was to die for we had the windows open at night and you could smell the salty air ,i never had a sleep like that in my entire life .and in the morning, jeff and jennel made everyone the fluffiest scrambled eggs .fresh baked muffins ,granola parfais, fresh orange juice and coffee , the only thing i hated was the day we had to leave .jeff and jennell made us feel like queens .they will forever be in our thoughts ,and in our next trip in june 2006. since i have come home i have renovated my room hoping to feel the same way here as i did there .it didnt work . so thats why me and my sister have to go back next year . the crocker house inn at vineyard haven is a place you wont forget ,thank you for the great memories jeff and jennell

Jeff & Jynelle are friendly. They upgraded us when we arrive since they were not oversold. Overall, I felt the rooms were overpriced. They wanted to originally charge us $285 per night during off-peak season when the rooms were dirty and the bathroom tiles were yellowish. I'm not sure why other reviewers say their breakfast was amazing. I felt like I was back at the Hampton Inn for $100 per night and having a free buffet style continental breakfast where I had to make my own toast and cereal. One morning, we even found a fly in the water jar. Their selection of coffee and tea were limited and they put out burnt chocolate chip cookies. We have been to a handful of B&B and this certainly was NOT one of our best experiences. We don't understand the other reviews. This place definitely did not blow our socks off and we definitely felt cheated given it ended being $225 per night plus tax.

All the prior reviewers must have paid less than $100 per night and/or are people who go to sleep really early and wake up early and/or don't like having breakfast. We stayed at the Crocker House and found the room to be the size of a queen sized mattress barely fitting a full-sized bed. The room was clean enough but the shower had moldy patches. Breakfast was served between 9:00 and 9:30 am. YES. you have only half an hour to get breakfast. Needless to say, that is not a problem since the "shades" block absolutely no light and you're awake in any case by 7:00 am. When you're paying $300 a night -- you can't help feeling that you're being ripped off and that the that the term bed "and breakfast" is really not befitting.

The Crocker House Inn is a well-maintained and cute B&B. It is near the heart of Vineyard Haven and walking distance to shops and restaurants, as well as the ferry (although you will need to carry bags up hill to get there.) They offer parking if you brought a car (a wonderful convenience in the area.) The owners are friendly and helpful with planning activities. The Inn is very clean, and there is a water view from the the front of the house. Breakfast is a variety of options (yogurt, granola, cereal, pastries, fruit), plus the innkeepers will make egg sandwiches to order.

But...

We envisioned a romantic stay, and our room was on the bottom floor where the common room and office is, and you can hear everything. If someone gets up early to make coffee at 5:30am, it woke us up. If people came in late and sat in the common room talking, it was disturbing. During the day, the innkeepers manage the office, take calls, do dishes etc. It made it impossible to take naps, which is something we enjoy during vacations. If you stay in the first floor rooms, you will have people hovering around your door throughout your stay.

Overall, I would stay here again but not downstairs. Avoid rooms 1-3.

This bed and breakfast is really ideal. (Sorry it took me so long to write this post, though.) We stayed there the weekend of Oct. 1, and the place is lovely, very well-cared for, clean, hospitable, quiet. There was a place for our bikes, and we had everything we could possibly need. The breakfasts are not to be missed. Great value for a really wonderful place. Thanks again so much.

I've stayed here for the past 3 years for the Martha's Vineyard 20 mile road race and absolutely LOVE IT!! Like other reviewers said, the Innkeepers, Jeff and Jynell, are great - full of great insight and conversation (even their children are wonderful - always very respectful and quiet). The food is wonderful and I look forward to going every year.

I've stayed in a fireplace room and a non-fireplace room. All are pristinely clean and comfortable with white fluffy towels. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great "base" for a week on the Vineyard, a relaxing weekend, or anything! My friends and I all love Jeff and Jynell!!!

My partner and I plucked The Crocker Inn out of the phone book when we were going to a performance at the theatre in Vineyard Haven last year. We were totally wowed by the atmosphere, the decor, the view, the scrupulous cleanliness of the room and luxury of the huge bathtub. There was a variety of generous and intriguing snacks available to guests around the clock in the dining room.
It was very relaxing to be able to walk to and from the theatre, and there were a number of eating establishments open before and after the performance. The breakfast the innkeepers prepared was heavenly.
Recently we got a last-minute invitation to another performance, and one toll-free phone call to The Crocker Inn solved every travel problem we had. The innkeepers booked our room, arranged ferry reservations for one car and two people and e-mailed all the information to us within minutes of our frantic call. When we lost the information, they graciously e-mailed it again.
These people are truly ready to go the extra mile for their guests. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is a great getaway for couples. The rooms have a true vineyard style to them and are very quaint. If back in MC I would most definitely stay here again. It is right off the ferry, so if you don't bring your car over, it is no big deal. Also, best chocolate chip cookies ever.
