White Village Cottages is NOT fancy! It doesn't even have A/C, and some summers you don't need it on the cape. But it is well functioning, the view of the bay is stunning, and it is a good value. Galley kitchens come fully equipped, towels can be changed daily, there is a broom and dust pan for the inevitable tracking... More

We stayed in a wonderful cottage directly on the bay in the off-season. It could not have been more delightful than it was. The cottage had a tiny kitchen with a huge window facing the ocean, and a little bathroom with a hot shower. The cottage had an old feeling but all the amenities were updated. There was a little... Ok these are dated and very rustic, no phones (Thank you) and no TV ( extra Thank you) but these iconic cottages are waterside and have a view of Provincetown that is just sublime. You can walk the street of P-town or visit the Provincelands or beach it at so many locations close by. We come every year to completely... More

Pros: Inexpensive ($95 for waterside), bus stop right outside to take you to Ptown etc (accepts Charlie cards loaded w/ money (not monthly passes though), beach is steps away, Adirondack chairs right on the water, water warm and pretty seaweed free, room had stove, sink, pots pans, cookwear, plates, glasses etc Cons: cash only, no tv, bed very uncomfortable (I... This is a comfortable place to stay if you want to rent on the beach. Switch your towels each day. Owners accept Cash only. Walls are paper thin between cottages. Kitchen area provides dishes, glasses, cookware, stove and refrigerator.

If you're looking for bang for your buck, then this is probably a sound choice. But, be prepared to pay with cash, because they don't accept credit cards or checks. There is no housekeeping service, there is no A/C, there is no phone, no TV, and I don't believe there was wifi (if there was, there was no notice with... More

I've been coming to this place since I was just shy of 1 year old. Now, 31 years later, I can't wait to get back here every year! The cottages are absolutely, barebones, basic. No TV, no phone, no A/C. You do have an efficiency sized kitchen, a bed or two, and a bath. Who needs more when you are... More

I have driven by these cottages a thousand times and popped my head in a handful of times when friends stayed here but this was the first time I did a three nighter here. I'll do it again in a second. This is old school Cape Cod. Rustic is sometimes generous. There are about 30 or so units. Most are... More

why do you go to the cape in the first place? the seafood? the great views of the ocean? the smell of the salty sea air? stayed here with my wife in late september and couldnt have been more pleased with the location...the only thing between your room and the bay is sand...the location is five minutes from provincetown shops... spent 4 nights here - 2 on inland side 2 ocean front. Main attracton is the price compared to other places but I did find better places down the road. STRONG smell of raw sewage in middle of the night on our 2 night inland place near the office. Ocean front for 2 nights was acceptable but not great. Probaby... More
