We arrived at the Wayside Inn on a warm Sunday afternoon. It's a historic inn that has been well preserved both inside with several dining areas and a gift shop and out. As we pulled into the driveway we noticed two young men dressed in period clothing at the front door, this continued the historic ambiance. The grounds are rustic... More

We enjoyed lunch here with friends while visiting Boston. There were two dining rooms to chose from - one rustic, where we sat since it seemed to fit the historic building. The other dining room was brighter and more modern. I recommend the rustic room! Each of us chose different menu items and everyone's food was delicious. Indulge in one... More

We've stayed at the Wayside Inn many times over the last few decades and it remains one of our favourite hotels around the world. The interiors are simply stunning - from the old bar through the various dining rooms to the historic bedrooms, it is a delightful place to stay. It pains me therefore to give it anything but a... This 300 year old inn still operates for lodging and restaurant. It is near the Old North Bridge where the American Revolution began. They maintain the colonial style decor and have some folks dressed in period clothes. The menu was classic colonial food from the times. (Where else can you still see Indian pudding on the dessert menu?) The complete... More

We were there for dinner. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The dining room was intimate. The service was very good. The food was traditional and quite tasty. The cocktails excellent, ambiance superb. They are still doing IT right!

I love to stay places that wrap me in the history and roots of the area I am visiting. The Wayside Inn is one of the best places in the country for this; thanks to tireless preservation efforts by generations of souls who have cared enough to keep this legendary place thriving. Love imagining those Patriots and Minutemen meeting and... More

We had a lovely meal for a family gathering that ranged from age 2 to age 90. They put us all in a small room with a fireplace and were incredibly accommodating to all our needs including late arrivals and menu requests. The food is a traditional New England menu; it is well-prepared and tasty. The atmosphere is remarkable. The... More

All of the usual business hotels in the area were full so we stayed here. This was the best choice for sure, and I will stay here next time I come back! I just love it here, even without some of the usual amenities (no TV in bedrooms, but who needs it when you have WiFi!) Breakfast came with the... More

We love this inn...magical setting year -round. The approach prepares you at any time of year ( take the dirt road and it will bring you to either the side parking lots or front door). Recently, we were seated in one of the small dining rooms in a corner by a working fireplace. It was enchanting especially for a little... More

My husband and I recently decided take advantage of a Winter Getaway special and to stay at the Longfellow's Wayside Inn. we arrived on Friday night checking in and then went to the Tavern for before dinner drinks. We ordered our drinks and sat down to enjoy some wonderful guitar playing and a room full of people enjoying the music... More
