I actually found out about this place while watching an episode of Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. My husband and I noticed this place would be on our way home from an out east trip. So, we decided to stay here and specifically requested one of the "haunted" rooms (#9 & #10, we stayed in #9). Its a really... More

The food and service was excellent in a delightful historic room. We were there on a Saturday night with three weddinfs happening on the property thus crowded and very noisy. Probably not the best time to go for a quiet dinner. The only negative was the noise.

We spent several marvelous hours visiting Longfellow's Wayside Inn on a recent trip to the Boston area. Very historic as well as bucolic 125 acres of grounds surrounding the nation's oldest operating inn. Made famous by Longfellow's book of poems "Tales of a Wayside Inn," the inn and grounds feature period display rooms, an 18th century tavern, a water-powered grist... More

We celebrated our wedding on the grounds of the Wayside Inn, enjoyed a wonderful reception on the second floor, and stayed the night in the quaint and calm inn. Now when I give this place 5 stars, I'm giving it partially on sentimental value as well as on the wonderful history and service of this location. Do not go in... More

I went to this renowned inn back in the 1970's it was great then and has had a great addition to accommodate weddings and large gathering whilst retaining the quaint dining rooms of the main inn. It has beautiful grounds and an old grist mill to discover and walk the large estate property. Great weekend getaway....order the Indian Pudding for... More

We love to go here especially for our anniversary. And we especially like the smaller tap room. My prime rib was awesome--tender, done perfectly. My husbands fish was also cooked perfectly. Always attentive wait staff.

Tonight Elaine and I had our wedding anniversary dinner at the Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Ma. The colonial setting lends to a great atmosphere. They have five dining rooms to choose from the Main (this is where we had dinner) with its beautiful fireplace (not on tonight as it is summer). The food was great and the service exceptional... Old old building Very quaint and once I started to read about the ghost we became more enthused with the place. It's small and out of the way. Went for breakfast which was ok. Corn muffins and hash were quite good though. Eggs Benedict were ehhh! I could see going for a holiday dinner thought. Walked to the mill interesting.... More

I've been here for lunch and dinner several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful and the servers friendly and accommodating. The basket of rolls and muffins are fresh and delicious. I enjoy the entree salads particularly the Innkeeper's salad. I often add the grilled chicken to make it a meal. You won't be disappointed!

One of the oldest operating restaurants & inns in the country, made famous by Longfellow's poem. We had a fantastic dinner - the duck was great, as was the prime rib. It's worth the trip out to the historic Concord-Lexington area for sightseeing, and this is a great place to end the day.
