Seaside is an oceanfront village located on Cape Cod, featuring cottage accommodations for daily or weekly rental. Framed by our 500 foot, meticulously maintained private beach, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean's Nantucket Sound, Seaside's five-acre cottage colony is serene. Located mid Cape Cod in Yarmouth, it's close to all the attractions: fishing, golf, restaurants and magnificent sights.

Detailed Reviews
Seaside Cottages is a great village right on the oceanfront with a beautifully landscaped courtyard. There are lots of cottages to choose from. I’ve been to Cottage 37 at least 3 times and will continue to go back every summer with my sister and 2 nieces. It’s charming.
The cottage is studio like, but feels very spacious because the space is used well. It’s got comfy bunk beds tucked in next to the door, a queen (maybe king size bed), a sitting area in front of the fire place and a dining table that fits 4, right in front of this big and bright bay window. Light floods the room from that window and the skylights in the cathedral ceiling. The ceiling has a lovely ceiling fan and there is a nice cross breeze so the place always feels cool and breezy. (No AC, but I don’t think any of the cottages have AC). There is a fun, modern shower head in the bathroom and the kitchen is stocked with dishes, flatware, a coffee maker and cups and mugs. No need to worry about the basics.
The yard is just as awesome as the cottage. Two Adirondack chairs out front, face the beautiful courtyard and flowers (great for morning coffee or early evening cocktails). There is a back yard that is great for entertaining or recreation. The owner is generous enough to leave a deck box with chairs and things for the beach.
The Cottages are fully staffed with highly dedicated grounds and house keeping. The front desk staff are friendly and attend to every need.
Please visit Cottage 37, but save a weekend or two for me. :-)

My wife and I just returned home from a four day three night stay at Seaside cottages. This was our first time staying at this property. It was amazing. We stayed in cottage number 28, The Little House literally 15 to 20 steps from the Nantucket sound. Fantastic view from the kitchen table while drinking our morning coffee. Cottage was all we expected and more. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Many attractions and restaurants within a short drive. Private beach made us feel like we were on our own private island. Plenty of longe chairs to relax on. Bring your own beach chairs and umbrella if you are planning on using the private beach like we did. We will definitely be back again.
Thank you seaside for a great vacation.

I love how quiet the location is . The parking lot is across the street so there is no noise of cars starting up and also there are no headlights shining into the cottages either. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up in the morning to the same sound . The grounds are very beautiful. We loved seeing the fox families and the rabbits . I appreciate the fact that there is no smoking near the waterfront or in or around the cottages . We will return again in the fall .

I visited with my family in Phase 3 of the pandemic. We stayed in the Irish Mist and overall had a great vacation. We encountered some negatives with this establishment but also some great features. The experience may be best conveyed in a list of pros and cons:
Good
1. Well appointed kitchen and nicely decorated cottage.
2. Lovely beach and grounds.
3. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
4. Chairs and picnic tables available.
5. Restaurant and ice cream window within walking distance.
6. Adorable bunnies everywhere.
7. Beautiful flower bushes.
Bad
1. Always busy front desk. Difficult to get in touch with staff.
2. Must cross road with belongings from front desk to cottages.
3. During pandemic, daily housekeeping does not occur. In light of this, cleaning products and a mop and broom should be provided to guests.
4. Private beach not enforced. People walk over from the public beach during the day. In the evening it is frequented by local teenagers.
5. Some maintenance issues. We had an underwatered flower box, a stuck door, chipping paint on our shower curtain rod,
And some pans kept in a musty area under the sink.
6. Very bright in the mornings. No blinds or curtains.
7. Hot inside cottage. Window box fan kept falling out.
It's a nice place and we may someday visit again. The location is great and the kitchen convenient. There were just a few issues that could be improved.

Thank you for your recent visit! We do appreciate your input and encourage our guests to let us know during their stay if there are any concerns so we can correct them to make your stay more pleasant. We apologize as well at how busy the office has been the past few weeks. Our guests are our top priority, so we always want to make sure we handle our guest needs above all else. We have 46 cottages on our property. All are individually owned, so are uniquely furnished and decorated. We hope that you will return and give us the opportunity to show you more of what Seaside Cottages is so well known for. Enjoy the rest of your Summer!

Vacasa cancelled our trip the night before our stay. We have family from out of state headed to the property right now and we can’t get a hold of them. They’re going to be shoed away by the owners friends. In addition they’re allowing a refund but now they’re asking for $5,900 for the same amount of nights when we paid $3,000. I would highly recommend not booking with Vacasa.

We have stayed at Seaside Cottages several times over the years and we love this tranquil place with a lovely private beach, sugary soft sand and calm water, nicely kept grounds, ample parking and great staff and surprisingly with good wifi service throughout the property.
Seaside Cottages are close to many restaurants and supermarkets; lots to do like mini golf, visiting Hyannis Port and enjoying local artist and shops.
Downside, still no Air Conditioning in the cottages and due to the extreme heat wave during our stay, had to buy an extra fan, but it was still very hot inside the cottage #16, making for very uncomfortable stay / sleep, and definitely not good for anyone with health issues.
The ice machine was also down during our week stay, apparently waiting for a plumber to hook it up..a whole week with temps up to 98DegF and no ice. I believe the management should have been a little more proactive in getting this issue resolved during this extreme heat conditions, after all the office is like a freezer as they have air conditioning, so a little more thought to the cottage renters, would have been nice.
Overall we had a great family time - 8 of us in 3 cottage, but we all share the same thoughts - AC in a must.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the beach, grounds, and staff! Unfortunately, the ice machine issue was out of our hands. We were at the mercy of getting a plumber out here and when our usual plumber wasn't being timely, we did reach out to someone else who was able to come out and get it hooked up. As for air conditioning, this is something that our cottages just aren't equipped to handle. Our electrical is just not strong enough to handle that at this time. Our cottages are individually owned, so it is not up to management to make these types of decisions. We hope this doesn't deter you from coming again. Maybe an off-season month would be more comfortable!

Booked an expensive stay at Seaside Cottages. Upon check in was informed that if we booked through Booking.com, we actually booked a motel in the parking lot and there was nothing they could do. This "motel" room felt a bit like a trailer. It offered absolutely zero privacy with windows on both sides looking out to highly trafficked parking areas. The bathroom had a sink that makes an airplane look luxurious. The room reeked of disinfectant to the degree of giving us headaches. As others have noted, the wifi didn't work. The decorations include frames with the promo pictures still inside. There is no closet. This place couldn't even splurge to provide shampoo or coffee. When we asked for a refund, we were told there was nothing they could do and we should have known not to book on Booking.com. Literally, we were told everyone is disappointed when they come and were apologizing. I'm sure some of the cottages are nice, but the owner here has a VERY misleading listing and the accomodations we were put in were beyond disappointing, management was not willing to work with us on a refund, essentially making us feel hostage to an awful, smelly, muggy room. Book at your own risk.

We are sorry that you weren't able to enjoy your stay at Seaside Cottages. The posting on booking.com does show pictures of the motel units, as well as a picture of the front door to those units, which are in the parking lot. We do recommend that booking a reservation directly through Seaside's website or calling to reserve will get you exactly the cottage you're looking for. All of our cottages and units are individually owned and unique in their own ways.

Experience at Seaside varies widely depending on one's cottage. Most along the waterfront are in sore need of renovation. But, the real kicker is that Seaside advertises it has Internet, but whether it is available/functional depends entirely on what cottage you rent. Don't go if you want/need it, or be sure the cottage you are in has a dedicated router. It's frustrating. For years, they have promised it, promised improvements, and then one goes, and it is same old, same old.

We just came back from spending a full week at Seaside Cottages and were very pleased with our stay. The grounds are located along the coast of the southern portion (Ocean side) of the Cape. The cottages are adorable and vary in style/size. About a dozen of the cottages are located right along the beach (~10 above the beach) and enjoy various views and the waves can be heard at night (which we enjoyed). The grounds were well maintained with flowering plantings and there are 2 areas for grilling with picnic tables (nice areas to socialize with other guests). There are chairs scattered along the edge of the grassy area overlooking the beach (great place to relax, read or just take in the view day or night). We stayed in 7A (Rosebud) and the room was perfect for 2 people. The private beach is a big plus with easy access and limited crowd. It was nice not having to haul everthing we typically bring to a beach back/forth as we were literally 50 feet from our own cottage. There is a restaurant and ice cream bar right across the street. The staff were all very friendly. We have already booked for next year!

My husband and our two young children (ages 2 and 5) traveled to Cape Cod last week and stayed in a one bedroom cottage here. It was a wonderful week! The cottage was clean and the staff is so friendly! The best part is the location - the private beach was beautiful - and it is close to restaurants (The Skipper is across the street) and Pirate's Cove mini putt is a few minutes away. The clientele was also so friendly and helpful, and it was great to meet other families who were also staying there. We stayed here a few years ago as well, and it was just as great! The cottages are small, but exactly what we needed. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the beautiful memories with our children :)
