We have stayed here before and the location is fantastic. We typically visit in early-mid-October and it is so peaceful. The summer crowds are gone and you can enjoy quiet walks along the beach at any time. You can relax in their chairs without loud crowds. It is so nice. We like the waterfront cabins and our preference was unavailable so we tried Cabin #29. It is advertised as Stars and Stripes, but it looks very recently redone to a more nautical theme. It was a very pretty and spacious cabin with a great view of the water. We would happily stay here again. It had baseboard electric heat but it had no problems taking the chill out of the evenings Virtually contactless check-in. The room was very clean and it doesn't get serviced during your visit - you just leave towels out and they drop new ones for you. It isn't a crowded property so we never had any concerns. 4.5 stars for this visit only because 1) the water went out on our last night. Without a bathroom facility, we checked out earlier than we normally would have. 2) Wireless internet wasn't great (and cell signal in the area was spotty for us).…
My five-day stay was just perfect. I was looking for peace and quiet in October on the Cape and I found it at Seaside Cottages. The cottage I stayed in was clean and just as pictured on the website. I welcomed having the little kitchen so I could cook breakfast. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully landscaped. I'll definitely be back.
From a group of friends renting Seaside Cottages we are all more than pleased with our stay. Each one of our cottages were clean with welcoming decor of unique styles. The yard was beautifully landscaped with soft green grass. Sleep to the sounds of waves, wake to the sun glimmering over the ocean just steps from our front doors! We can’t wait to return in the summer!
I would come back here in a heartbeat. Cottage 24 was perfect for our family of 4. My sister’s family was in #14. It was the perfect place to celebrate together but apart. The BBQ areas were ideal for cooking and eating together outside with an amazing ocean view! We loved our fireplace every chilly night of our stay. The water was calm enough to use our SUP. We also enjoyed biking around and playing on the beach. Was a little chilly for swimming. We appreciated how meticulously these historic gems were cared for. My only minor complaints were the tiny sink in an otherwise perfectly outfitted kitchenette and a shower smaller than our rv shower. They still both got the job done.
Located on a beautiful quiet beach BUT the cottage #33 was old and grungy. Spent as much time outside of the cottage which made it tolerable. This was a 2-3 star place. Too bad cause the location is 4-5 star. Wouldn't take much to update it. Thankfully it wasn't hot as there is no a/c, opening a window and turning on ceiling fan kept the cottage cool. The bathroom was very small. If you are larger than average size you won't fit in the bathroom.
