We had our elopement in this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We certainly felt like we were home since the beginning. The house is full of thoughtful details and it has a gorgeous garden. There is coffee, tea and delicious snacks available all the time. We stayed in the Irma Farris Suite, and it was very comfortable and appropriate for this unique experience. The distribution of the room with plenty of space was very helpful for us to get ready for the ceremony. Carol and Jeff made us feel that we were home all the time. They helped us plan everything and made our stay very special. Breakfast was always high quality with a lot of choices, and the location is very convinient with good restaurants within a few miles.

The place the best B@B places we ever stayed. Located in the historic district of the town. In terms of everything: service, comfort, communication, style, design. You will be welcomed as a friend or a family member by the owner! The breakfasts are amazing. We have the feeling that we are staying with friends.

The Captain Farris House provides everything you might wish for in a B&B: beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms that combine antique charm with modern conveniences; tranquility; gourmet breakfasts; an ideal location that’s within easy distance of all the Cape’s many attractions; and very reasonable rates. Best of all are the hosts, Carol and Jeff, who make you feel right at home in their historic house. They’re ever-ready to provide suggestions for activities and restaurants, and they take a sincere interest in making sure that you enjoy yourself. My partner and I spent two nights in Reuben’s Room, which has the added attractions of a private entrance and porch, a lovely place to sit with refreshments at the end of the day (and the middle of the night, for insomniacs like me). There’s a charming parlor as well, and an extensive library of DVDs to help while away some rainy hours. Other comforts include ample parking, luxurious linens, a huge shower stall, snacks and cordials in the kitchen, and rock-steady free wifi. The breakfasts alone are worth the tariff—they alternate sweet and savory dishes from day to day for a pleasing variety. The neighborhood is a delight as well. The house is adjacent to the local cultural center, where upon our arrival we found a couple of guys sitting outside with guitar and banjo, singing sweet traditional songs. We’ve stayed at lots of B&Bs in the US and abroad, and The Captain Farris House is second to none!

Stayed here for Memorial Day wknd in the carriage house and loved our stay! If you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls, this place reminded me of the quaint BnBs featured on the show. Carol and Jeff are wonderful and make you feel at home and welcomed. The carriage house had two bedrooms and a kitchenette and patio and felt spacious and private. The breakfast was home cooked and delicious, healthy and filling! Carol is a wonderful baker and her afternoon cookies and snacks were great! Love that they offer complimentary chips and soda as well as other drinks. The property is very cute. We saw a small bunny on the front lawn. In a great location about an hour from Provincetown and close to Hyannis and Chatham, two cute towns to check out nearby. Would def stay here again if we were to visit cape cod. This was our second time on the cape and would highly recommend this place for the location, service, quality of food and amenities! Everything was very clean (I’m a germaphobe).

My wife and I returned to Cape Cod for a four night getaway. We like to stay at B and B's and on this trip we chose the Captain Farris House. The Captain Farris is conveniently located mid-cape on Main Street in South Yarmouth. The corner property is nicely landscaped with a large parking area behind the inn. We stayed in the Russell's Hideaway room that had a large bathroom. king bed and a deck with chairs and a table. There was plenty of closet space and dressers for you clothes. The room was clean and included all bath amenities. The innkeepers were wonderful. Carol and Jeff were friendly, helpful and professional. A delicious two course breakfast was served each morning. Freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit and a sweet or savory entree was served in a bright and cozy dining room. Tea, coffee, cookies, port wine and cordials were available all day. We had a wonderful stay, hosted by wonderful innkeepers.
