Detailed Reviews
Off season camping at the end of October. It was still quite pricey. The campground was huge with a lot to offer in season! We were very concerned with the mass gathering for a Thanksgiving for seasonals that included buffet dining, gathering of at least 75, and no masks being worn. And this seemed to be approved by management.

First the positive: beautiful setting on Cape Cod. Nicely kept grounds, Camp store on premises. Activities for children, arcade, pool, basketball courts, 2 beaches on Peters Pond, which is a beautiful lake. (Hint- go to the 2nd beach- there was no one there. Sandy beach, shallow warm water, beautiful scenery.) Quiet during the week. Close proximity to towns- beaches, restaurants, shopping. You must try Cape Cod Creamery for ice cream. The best ever!
The negatives: very small narrow sites for transients. Most sites are permanent well-kept single wides, seasonals or rentals. Gravel sites- tough on feet and little knees. Weekends are Party Time. Some staff rather rude.
The zero entry pool was nasty. Full of dead bugs, leaf and grass litter. Murky and cloudy, which if one knows about water chemistry, is due to organics, i.e., sweat, urine, skin cells, not controlled. There were many little ones in the pool.... I brought this up to management and was rather rudely dismissed, until I mentioned my contributions to TripAdvisor. Then staff skimmed the pool more often, but the cloudiness did not improve much, again pool chemistry. Go to the beaches on site.

I really do enjoy camping with amenities and this is it! I really liked the accommodations. The cottage we stayed in was a trailer home with a modern, beach-like design and set up. It had a full kitchen stocked with all of the plates, pots, pans, and glasses you need. It did not have a dishwasher but that was fine for us. Right across from the kitchen was a small living room with a small sofa, chair, and 2 stools. The sofa contained a twin size pull out bed. An electric fireplace in the living room connected through to the Master bedroom where there was a queen sized bed and an armoire. The only bathroom in the unit connected through the Master bedroom. Off of the living room and above the bedroom was a loft complete with two full sized mattresses. The loft area was fine for my two younger children, aged 9 and 14, but would be a bit cramped for adults and older teens. You could not stand up in the loft but you could crawl through and over to your bed. You could sit up also. The main part of the unit was very clean and well kept. The loft was a bit dusty and could have used a good vacuum. We really liked sitting outside on the wrap around porch to eat breakfast and watch the local bunnies frolic in the small yard. We grilled on the propane grill that was provided and really enjoyed the larger of the two beach areas at the resort. Although we did not use the volleyball courts or baseball field, we were glad that they offered such options. My children played at the playground for a little bit. It was a good playground for younger children, under 9. The pool looked nice, well kept and clean but we did not use it. The location was great! Close to the highway, the bridge, shopping, etc. They offer different activities during the week at different times and those seemed like fun for the kids. They had a very small arcade which my children showed no interest in, maybe for younger kids. They had bocce and shuffle board which we did not use and one of them was being re-done. The property was laid out well and had a decent amount of space between units.
Overall the only things we did not like were mostly the little things that went wrong that could not be controlled by the resort. We had the unfortunate luck of having the power go out twice during meal times and clean up times. That stunk for us because I like to cook for my family and had no hot water, but I was able to use the gas stove for boiling water to clean up. Also something went wrong with our air conditioner after the first power outage and we did not realize it until we awoke in the middle of the night hot and stuffy. I did not have a restful sleep either of the two nights with the power outages and air conditioning issues. There were two things that the resort could possibly do something about: ants and double checking the kitchen supplies. When I went to cook, one of the two knives and the can opener were both broken. Someone should be checking the supplies to make sure they were in good, working condition. All of the appliances and the rest of the supplies were just fine. When we returned from our day of being out, I discovered tiny ants were all over the counter and sink. I assume they were coming in for water because of where they were. Thankfully I had made sure everything was sealed and cleaned up before we had left. I did not enjoy having to battle ants and make certain that I cleaned extra before eating each meal and using the counters. The resort did take my concerns down in writing and planned to address them but I do think they probably knew about the ants already because I detected a bit of ant deterrent spray odor under the sink when we arrived. I thought it was just me being paranoid but after seeing the ants, I do not think so anymore. The only other small downside is the dusty condition of the loft. They need someone to get up there with a backpack vaccuum and take care of that space. I have a dust allergy and have a couple of kids with asthma so I guess I am sensitive to this, but my 9 year old was busy wiping off the loft area, so I guess I wasn't alone in my concerns.

My husband and I started visiting PP since 2014. We were regular summer visitors. In the last couple years we rented cabins as we came with our toddler and my mother. Convenience of having the bathroom and the kitchen was crucial. Today, I am very disappointed to let you know that cleanliness went from ten to zero. Cabin floors are so dirty our feet were all black when we entered the unit. We requested to change the cabin and were told all were booked even though we see that many are vacant on our street. Shower doesn't turn off properly causing water leak, toilet was not cleaned properly which caused urine smell in the bathroom and the main bedroom which has a vent placed through the toilet. Bedroom windows don't have window screens so you can't get fresh air in your room. Corners of the beds and windows are filty with hair. You need to bring your own sheets, towels, pillows and blankets if you are staying in the cabin. One of the arcade game was broken with no sign on it which we tried to use and lost our money on it.
Pool is lack of cleaning, you get clumps of hair when you are trying to lap swim which was another turn down. Unfortunately for $500 for 2 nights I was expecting a top notch service which was not provided. If you don't care of the mentioned issues above, peters pond provides a peaceful gateway in a beautiful land.

Resrt was good most peple were low key, nice area. But, the non stop noise! I was there on a weekend and the jet skis start at 10am and run non stop until 8pm. Like vacation on a racetrack. People riding them are rude and yell obscenities. All the jet ski traffic renders the pond useless. Don't bother with canoes or kayaks if the weather is good you won't' be able to use them. They kick up the sand and the water is very muddy and not great for swimming.

Filthy and in disrepair. Disappointing. Convenient location was only redeeming value.
Rented premium cottage: porch railing broken, no screens in windows (looks like they were rippedout), heat pump filters were so filthy no air was moving and it stunk...had to wash ourselves and reinstall, tub didn't drain, toilet paper roll hanging off of wall, floors so dirty feet turned black, 1 fry pan but no pot, entry door jam broken so kids couldn't open or close, no ice cube trays, etc. If you do go, bring everything in way of cleaning and cooking. I couldn't get a 2nd map when requested...they don't have enough. Really? Store closes at 6...definitely inconvenient.
Kids allowed to bomb around park in golf carts without supervision- had near miss with our toddler who was playing at end of our lot.
Very noisy.
Not worth the high price.
Won't be going back.

We love this resort. It has so much to offer. Firstly it is located on Cape Cod a beautiful vacation area. The resort offers so much to all age groups. The activities team is outstanding, there is always something for kids, adults and families to participate in as well as entertainment every weekend. The resort has both a natural
Small lake as well as a great zero entry pool which makes it ideal for the little ones. You can choose to do nothing and relax or fill your days and evenings with activities and fun. They also have a cafe that opens on weekends. The resort really does not lack for anything. And the management team is outstanding , they are always present around the campground and have made great improvements over the past 2 years.

We were skeptical after reading some of the reviews, BUT so glad we didn’t change our minds. My family and I had the BEST time! The park is so clean, staff was so helpful, and the beaches were perfect! This is camping people! You wont have a pristine cottage, they aren't meant to be perfect. If you’re looking for crystal clean, no bugs, no dirt, etc stay at a 5star hotel... If you are looking to have a great time with your family, escaping from the digital world, relax and unwind in a great family friendly environment? You wont be disappointed! We booked with 3 other families and each of us just booked a 2nd stay! You’ve found long term re-visits from us. Thank you for an amazing and memorable vacation!

This is my second year in a row staying here. First of all it’s 90% seasonal so only a few open spots to rent. Came in for a long weekend. Wednesday and Thursday were nice and quiet then Friday rolled around and Welcome to the Jungle! Golf carts everywhere flying around the area.. young kids driving them all hours of the night. Super loud on weekends, no respect or enforcement of quiet hours. As I write this review it’s 12:27 am and a golf cart full of kids just flew by here noisy as ever. This resort was just taken over by a large resort corporation so hopefully things change.. I will definitely never come back here again.

Been visiting Peters Pond for nearly 20 years. Recently they have made improvements with amenities. However, with the improvements there is a huge gap in service! We were here for 10 days in July. It was noisy all day (many families booked sites around us and it was a "party all day and night" affair. There was booze everywhere all day and night. There are families and extended families crammed into sites. Children driving rented golf carts like maniacs, dogs off leashes, music blasting, and most annoying it goes into wee morning hours! I tried to call the " emergency number" no one ever picked it up! Complained to the office several times. (Front desk, check in station, workers on golf carts, anyone and everyone w a sun resorts shirt on. Not one of them asked me my name or site # I even went so far as to email them with my cell and site # on our first day and never heard from anyone.)Their response was, "yes others have complained too, we're doing our best or it's July 4 what do you expect." I expect folks to have fun and stay up late. But they were hooting and hollering, honking horns kids screaming and yelling past midnight! I expect to be asked what site number I am at and for you to check on us to see how the subsequent nights went. They only have two patrol people on at night. My response was you have over 400 sites booked and you only hire two people to patrol it's out-of-control here. On July 4 there must've been 200 people here for a family picnic near the pool there was no where to park and people were just out of control overlapping sites and parking the public street was full of cars. Families climbing the fence and getting in free. With brown bags and cases of liquor. My kids even saw people throwing empty bottles in the bushes. In regards our sIte, TV / cable is giving poor quality picture. They came to the site and told us we needed a new cable. So we bought a new one at the store with no improvement to the picture. Site was clean with crushed stone. The pond has a floating bouncy type play area. But the older kids are so rough. They need some rules. (They don't enforce any of the few they do have) They flip it over and that is so dangerous- a child could get trapped underneath. The pool is nice but limited space to sit. People come early and cover the chairs with towels so leaves little place to sit. Like I said, been coming here for a long long time. Friends of ours were seasonal for decades- they recently sold... You can see why.

I am wondering this also. It's not listed in the description on the website
Hi Caroline,
Thank you for inquiring! We do not provide linens so, you would have to bring in bed sheets, pillow cases and blankets.
The pond is a 100 acre pond and has no restrictions on the type of boat allowed, however our resort does not allow our temporary guests to bring any motorized watercraft onto the resort property. We do allow kayaks, canoes, etc.
I have no idea.
