We had some very dear friends visiting from California in their motor home staying at this campground. They invited us to dinner at their site. We are in our 70's and would have no intention of availing ourselves of the facilities yet we were charged $10 each to enter the property late afternoon...outrageous!! If you even think about staying here....and... More

We recently bought a lightly used 2014 travel trailer because we were tired of staying in hotel rooms or with relatives as we traveled around New England. We decided to book 6 nights at Black Bear Campground inspite of all the bad reviews and the low 2 star rating because it was conveniently located near our friends and the business... More

Two, very small pools, one is more suited as a hot tub but with cold water. The sides of the pool are brown and I felt nervous swimming in the water. It is only open from noon to 7pm which is ridiculous in the heat of summer with children. They do have a beautiful park for children, looks new. The... More

This is our 3rd season of camping and travel mostly on weekends and have camped in at least in 30 different campgrounds in New England over the past 3 years. BB wins as being the worst campground ever. Site was overgrown with weeds, Sewer hookup for abutting site was practically under our picnic table, the list goes on, so my... More

True, the campground is a good location close to beaches but not worth the disaster of a campground. We were greated and checked in fine but upon arrival at our site it was overgrown with weeds and tall grass and the fire pit full of garbage, they do not tend to the sites. The bathrooms were disgusting with peeling toilet... More

We stayed here to go to Hampton Beach which is only 15 mins away. The campground is not very well taken care of. Restrooms need updating. No activities for kids or adults. Basically just a place to stay in a camper. It was OK for us since we spent most of the time at the beach, but if you're looking... More

We've stayed at BB about 3 times, 1 time was ok with the next 2 times being not good at all. To make a long story short, we were put on a site that was occupied with a boat that was the next sites. When we went back to the office about an hour later it was moved only to... More

This campground was dirty and not very well spaced at all. The sites were smashed together as tight as possible and you had a clear view of your neighbor's site about 2 feet away. The site in general was a mess and the fire pit had old trash and cigarettes in it from who knows when. The dumpsters which were... More

We been traveling up the East Coast from FL - stopping at several campgrounds the previous week. And we were looking forward to seeing some of our family in the Boston Area. And the beach and seafood was nearby. The office is good and the staff registered us with out a problem. Then we drove to our site in the... More
