This was scheduled as just a stopover on our way to Maine. What a pleasant surprise to find this immaculate property! Obviously, there has been a recent renovation, beautifully executed! The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was perfect. We had a room on the back side with no noise at all. A delightful one night stay!
You can not beat the price for the location and quality. A short walk across the bridge to the town of Newburyport. The room was clean , the bathroom was great , the staff were friendly and helpful . lots of bars across the bridge
We had a wonderful stay. Large room with king size bed. Two chairs in the room was a nice touch. Choice of Keurig coffee in the morning. Two things I didn t like. 1) the thin 1000 single sheet TP. Please use at least the Market Basket brand 2) it would be nice to have a window shade to keep the room darker in the morning .
Stayed for one night in a king ground floor room facing the parking lot in front. Check in was easy and pleasant. Even had drinks and cookies for guests. We we escorted to our room which was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. However, the first thing I noticed upon walking in to the room was what I would describe as an old wet sour towel smell which never went away. We surmise it comes from the retrofitted wall A/C unit. We have these in our own home and know that they need to be serviced periodically to keep mold and mildew from growing in the drainage tubing. Fortunately we are not allergic, but for those who are this could be a real problem. We had just come from a day at the beach and were eager to shower before dinner. The bath towels, while clean, were still damp from not being thoroughly dry. Not a good feeling when freshly showered, like using an old use towel. The night was quiet on our side, but window shade is too thin and does not block parking lot lights or morning sun. Having said all this, I would return to this hotel because of the location, the staff and the amenities. I hope the other stuff is addressed. …
This is a great little inn right over the bridge from Newburyport. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and each room has a reserved (and free) parking spot. Our room was spacious, clean and modern and had AMAZINGLY comfortable beds, which I rarely experience outside of major hotel chains. The towels were so soft and lush as well. Newburyport is just a quick walk or drive across the bridge, and there is a bar called the Deck with a fun patio basically in the parking lot (and a restaurant on-site as well). The drive to Salisbury Beach is ~10 mins. Would definitely stay again!
