We had a wonderful stay at the Yankee Clipper--views were spectacular, rooms were very spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious, staff was attentive and friendly-enjoyed our chats with Peter! The inn is central and close to the activities in town and around. I would highly recommend!

3 stars for the inn, 5 for value. Our family of 15 stayed 4 days at the inn for our daughter's intimate wedding celebration. The location is superb - the garden looks out onto the waves crashing on the rocks below. The views from some of the rooms, especially on the top balcony, and from the breakfast room, are superb....

Thanks for taking the time to review us and having your daughters wedding here at the inn. It was our pleasure to have your family as our guests. When last minute decisions have to me made due to inclement weather (high winds and rain), I know it can be very disappointing when you want everything to be perfect for your...

We LOVE the Yankee Clipper Inn SO MUCH we were married here — in June 2002. That's the ultimate compliment. It was like a friendly fairy tale — and a relatively affordable, very comfortable one too, as informal or elegant as desired. We enjoy an annual stay here on Cape Ann whenever possible, in any season. The building, its grounds,...

MISINFORMATION! On the Booking.com they mention the two buildings but! There is no one picture and description about Bulfinch House!! They do not mention neither which rooms are there and if there is any difference on the price! Bulfunch house is on the other side of the street bad and noisy location. The street has very heavy trafic now in...

The Yankee Clipper Inn has 2 buildings the main building and our Bulfinch House. Your room had an ocean view and a shared outdoor patio in a very beautiful and historic 1840 home. Homes of that age were built closer to the street but certainly not 12 feet or 4 meters from the street as your description indicates (Much more...

Beautiful historic inn with great ocean views. Pros good view, friendly staff and on sight parking. A nice set up for coffee and tea in the hall for all hours and the manager was very friendly. Cons too far from town center to walk. Room could use some updating Breakfast was okay ran out of sausage so I was a...

We came here Columbus weekend, choosing to come on the spur of the moment. We got the last room to be rented, the Packet. The room was pleasant, not large, with a balcony overlooking the parking lot and a distant view of the sea. (Construction of the adjacent house is supposed to end next week, and the orange crane will...

Thanks for staying with us and your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and you are definitely correct in the fact how beautiful the inn and grounds look in the summer months. On the water with nice views. Very comfortable room with Queen bed and a seating area, private bath. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and continental fare while you wait for the 0830 breakfast start. We will gladly return when we are again in the area.

We were staying in Room #7 in Bulfinch House. The description and photos of the room provided on the hotel website are accurate: the king-size bed was comfy, the bedding was of good quality, the view was really nice, and the separate dressing room is so very convenient! The grounds were lovely! The wedding arch decorated with withered flowers looked...

I should have read the web site more carefully. The property consists of the main house, closer to the water, and the Bulfinch House, which is up on a hill. It is true that there is an ocean view from the room we stayed in. But about 12 feet from our bed was a somewhat busy local 2-lane highway, and...
