We just got back and I honestly have no idea what some of the negative reviews are about! My husband and I booked a one night stay in the "Packet" room to get away from Boston. We were met by Peter(?) who introduced everything to us with dinner recs and was wonderfully hospitable. The room itself was small but cozy,...

So booked a two day stay over Christmas. Planned to stay Christmas and the day after. Booked through Travelzoo, so I could not cancel the second the night through the property which became necessary because of an unexpected commitment. I am happy to report that Mike, the manager of the property offered to upgrade us to a beautiful view room...

The view from our room in the main inn was lovely. The suite we stayed in was comfortable although lacked upkeep. The upholstery of the sofa needed deep cleaning, the carpet was also soiled. Oddly, the room side of the entry door had been partially painted with swipes of different colors of paint and left unfinished. The flower gardens of...

Thanks for your stay taking the time to share your thoughts and review the inn. I'm sorry to hear you found things on the property especially the grounds not up to your standards. When you stayed over 4 months ago, the entire Northeast of the USA was under severe drought restrictions (no sprinkler or hand watering at all). We painted...

Had a very nice stay here. The room was very nice with a porch seating room and and outside balcony. Wonderful ocean views. Breakfast was very tasty. Items made to order plus the usual breads and cereals.

This is a very old place, with a lot of wood work. Period furniture and a old fashion charm. Our room the Flying Cloud has two balconies. One was in closed with a heater and one outside. Breakfast is made to order for you. Not a buffet. We were even given a free upgrade due to being the off season.

Thanks for your wonderful review and comments about the inn. The Yankee clipper Inn has had a very famous gust list thru out the years such as JFK, John Lennon, Bette Davis, and Paul Newman. The Flying Cloud and Red jacket suites are gorgeous and there are heater units in both the bedrooms and attached indoor sunrooms. I am glad...

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Yankee Clipper Inn. If you love authentic charm and understated elegance, you'll love this little inn. Gorgeous water views, friendly staff, deliciious and generous breakfast. Remember, this is a beautiful old in that's been renovated through the years to add bathrooms, heating and air conditioning, etc. If you're looking for a cookie...

The Yankee Cipper Inn was the first B and B we stayed at on our 2 week tour of New England. Only a little over an hour drive from the Boston airport, it was the perfect location to begin our vacation. Michael was attentive and knowledgeable about local restaurants and activities. Yankee Clipper is somewhere between a B&B and an inn--not as chummy or as cute as many B & Bs, but smaller scale and attentive than larger inns. The location, away from the tourist traffic in the center of town but just a short drive away, and the views of the harbor are terrific, just what I've always loved in Rockport....

3 stars for the inn, 5 for value. Our family of 15 stayed 4 days at the inn for our daughter's intimate wedding celebration. Thanks for taking the time to review us and having your daughters wedding here at the inn. It was our pleasure to have your family as our guests.
