Easy check in, good housekeeping service, good breakfast, wonderful pool conditions and, the most important, wonderful customer service. I was pumping for my newborn baby and I really needed a place to store the milk since the fridge didn t have a freezer. They offered to keep it in their big commercial freezer the days I was there, which was a life saver. Everyone I dealt with was kind and empathetic and helped me personally when I needed the most. Lovely, clean hotel with super easy check in & a great complimentary breakfast bar. Beds were very comfortable. Room had updated decor. Great indoor pool & firepit area. Super close to food, shopping & the waterfront! Would def stay here again!
This wonderful place is a definite gem! We were staying in lots of different hotels on our 2 week trip to the East Coast. This place is wonderful & the staff is quite professional. They love their job and want to make you feel very invited. The rooms are so clean and the beds were a dream to sleep on. We will tell everyone about this great motel.
Spent a couple days in Gloucester and decided to save a few dollars and stay here. We are so glad we did! Nice, renovated clean rooms. The pool was huge and very clean as well. Everything was up to our expectations. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but it was just a continental breakfast, so it is what it is. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Had a really good trip went here for a wedding october 7th and the property was so nice I felt like I was at home the front desk staff were helpful and a guy named Shawn that works there is awesome and super personable!!
Once again, we allowed ourselves to have reasonably high expectations based on the hotel website. In actuality, the hotel is very ordinary at best. The staff was not particularly friendly, the room was small and inadequately equipped and overall we were disappointed with our experience. We had hoped for better.
The room was ok, A/C didn’t work but my major complaint is the staff they are beyond rude and won’t help with anything absolutely terrible for the price we paid to stay seemed bothered with any questions we had
We had booked a room with 2 queen beds for us and two children. On checking in, we were told that they had overbooked the rooms so we were given a suite at no extra charge. Good points: the suite was very spacious and the upstairs bed was very comfy. The fitness centre was great and very clean. We enjoyed the walk into town each day (about a mile). The outside of the inn was lovely with some attractive plants. We could park right outside our room. The pool was a good size (and mostly completely empty) and we liked sitting by the fire pit. The breakfast had plenty of different items including fresh fruit and yoghurt. Not so good points: had to go and ask for bedding for the sofa bed. We were given a sheet with a rip in it, only one pillow and pillow case, a duvet cover but no duvet and a blanket. I went to ask for a duvet and was given a thin throw instead. The pool was freezing - my son’s lips actually turned blue! There were no instructions for how anything worked. We battled with the air conditioning and the shower, but worked them out eventually! The staff were helpful when asked for extra towels etc.…
The property does not look like this, it is out dated in area's and needs a lot of tlc. The bathroom was discussing. Not enough towels. The breakfast is a joke and they use all throw away prepackaged food, terrible for the environment. The staff tried hard, but missed the mark. They had a lot of excuses, not real solution's.The rooms are not services during our stay, constantly was in need of refills, had to call the front a million times, not enough towels, were given hand towels to use a bath towel. Room card won't work many times, kept having go to front desk. Paid 300 a night....total rip off. Thankfully booked thru 3rd party, spent about 2 hours, but getting my money back.
We stayed here for 1 night at the end of a New England road trip before heading home. This was easily the worst place we stayed during this trip. Check-in was efficient as they gave us a room two hours before our allotted check-in time. Our room was in the main building overlooking the indoor pool. The room was dark, in need of some modernization, and not as clean as I would expect, especially the bath. It wasn't the sort of place you would walk barefoot on the carpet. During our stay, they were having a heatwave and the aircon worked fine if a little noisy. It is a bit of a hike into town and parking in Rockport is a bit of a lottery. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus that suited our times but not great if you want to go out late as it stops running after 6pm. Breakfast was the worst part. A bowl of hardboiled eggs, insipid coffee, and various high sugar, high gluten food-like items. We grabbed a couple of bananas and drove the 15 minutes to the nearest Wholefoods! In conclusion, decidedly average and not great value for money. I definitely won't be back.…
