Everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Comfortable living area, small but functional kitchen area, large bedroom with a king bed, and s small bathroom. Great view of the ocean from the windows or the small, private garden. This is just a great place to relax and unwind. The owner, Nancy, is very friendly and available to answer any... More

This adorable apartment is perfect for an ocean getaway. The apartment was clean and cozy with comfortable beds and many amenities. You can't beat the gorgeous ocean view from the front room. The apartment is an easy walk or short car ride to Rockport, a quintessential New England oceanside town. There are also many beautiful beaches in Rockport and its... More

The Seaward has everything that my boyfriend and I needed to unwind - stunning views of the ocean, a very comfortable bed and Nancy - the innkeeper who gave me great recommendations of things to check out in Rockport/Gloucester during my stay. An absolute gem. Can't wait to return!!

Great stay at The Seaward. Slept like a baby on a great bed and was looked after well by the host. A really nice walk in to Rockport or wander round to Gap Cove, the beauty of the place is hard to match. Can't wait to return to The Seaward and to this corner of New England

The Seaward Inn has morphed over the years and recently downsized to a handful of nice rooms and suites. This place has a charm so befitting of New England. The rooms were built in the 40's and 50's, but rather than feel old and gray they have character and a certain charm that almost reminds you of a smaller and... More

Check-in: friendly, welcoming, fast and easy. Room: Small, cutely done up, tiny bathroom. Toiletries were generic and the towels faded and rough. GORGEOUS VIEW! Breakfast: the 2nd best part of this place (after the view), was the awesome breakfast Nancy provides! Fresh, decadent, hearty, scrumptious and lots of it! This place was lovely in so many ways- great lounge with... More

After 15 years we returned to find the Seaward Inn was still our favorite B&B on the East coast. The location is just a stone’s throw from the ocean, the home offers an atmosphere and comfort like few others, and one senses a depth of character only achieved by the same family owning the property for generations. It was devastating... More

We stayed in room 105 which is on the 3rd floor with an ocean view. We left the window open at night and could hear the waves pounding the rocks as well as the wind whistling around the eaves. Lovely! The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Excellent shower in the bathroom but the toilet needed to... More

Wish we could stay for more. Planning on coming back one snowy winter One amazing night (and morning) in this special inn left us with so much joy, already thinking of coming back and telling friends: don't miss it Spectacular ocean views (sunsets and sunrise), cozy, clean and chic rooms, rich breakfast + afternoon treats: cookies and tea great for... We booked late in the season, but were able to get the Gulls Nest room 206. It was perfect for a family of 4. As soon as pulled up after a much longer travel time due to traffic the gorgeous views take your breath away, and immediately take all the stress away. The grounds are beautiful, the outdoor seating located... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Seaward Inn, nestled on the outmost edge of Cape Ann, has taken many shapes and forms over the past 65 years while remaining in the Cameron family. Although the main building and restaurant were sold in December 2013, the building formerly known as Spruce Cottage or Gulls Nest will now be available for weekly rentals for the 2015 season. Guests can choose from our cottage, Lover's Cove (king bedded unit), or Gully Point (suite with deck). Each unit has a private bathroom, Direct TV, free wireless internet, air conditioning, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryers and plenty of free parking. There is also an outdoor gas grille for your convenience and pleasure. The Seaward offers a refreshing, rustic seaside alternative to vacationing in Rockport with four unique choices of accommodations. Guests who visit The Seaward comment on the restful atmosphere, while still being close to a wealth of attractions including gorgeous nature preserves, great shopping, boating, whale watching, museums, and sandy beaches. We also offer bicycles to enjoy the winding rocky coastal roads and pathways with stunning vistas and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The Seaward is located on Marmion Way, known for its lovely homes, gardens and ocean views. Here you can relax to the soothing sound of waves lapping the rocky shore and distant fog horn while watching the lobster and sailboats pass by. We are a short & scenic mile to downtown Rockport which can be accessed along an ocean path. Along the way you will pass Old Garden Beach; a good spot for a dip, and "headlands" for an outstanding view of Rockport Harbor. Spruce Cottage - enjoy two bedrooms - a queen sized bed in one room and 2 twin beds in another. The kitchen offers a stove, sink, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Although most folks prefer to relax on the front lawn, the cozy living room includes a kitchen table, fireplace couch and flatscreen TV.  Gully Point - Enjoy a deck with ocean views and rocking chairs. Gully Point offers accommodations for up to 4 people comfortably. One bedroom has a queen sized bed, while the rather spacious living room has accommodations for two more on a comfortable (full size) sleeper couch. Loblolly Cove - has a similar set up as Gully Point and can adjoin it to accommodate up to 8 people. Enjoy a deck with ocean views. On it's own Loblolly Cove offers accommodations for up to 5 people. One bedroom has a queen sized bed, while the living room has a twin day bed and pull our (full) couch. Lovers Cove has ocean views, a king sized bed, newly conditioned hardwood floors and a small private courtyard garden. ... more   less
