Having a bit of experience with Ptown, I booked at the John Randall House after some cursory research on reviews. I knew that we had to have off-street parking, which they have (and I'm grateful for it). What a pleasant experience from the start! Very friendly staff (Innkeeper Don is great). Close in to everything and only a block from... More

Typically we rent a condo for a week in PTown in August, Last minute we decided to try and go for the long July 4th weekend, we found availability at the John Randall house for three nights and we were excited. We were very early upon arrival and they were welcoming since the room was ready, this was a pleasant... More

Don was so generous and kind. Patrick awesome too. House fabulously located. Would love to return. Covered patio to eat breakfast such a treat. Even though there were other guests you hardly noticed. Wine in fridge nice touch. Tv at weird 90 degree angle from bed and therefore wasn't usable because of location. Minor detail.

This was my first time to Provincetown as well as my first stay in a bed and breakfast. I'm so glad I picked John Randall House for the experience. My boyfriend and I arrived early, and checking in before 2 was no problem. We stayed in room 1, and it was clean and comfortable. The only downside is that it... More

Our stay was excellent at this B&B. We arrived on Friday evening believing our reservation was for Friday night-Sunday morning only to discover that we had booked Saturday night-Monday morning in error. Don was very gracious and switched our reservation around to accommodate as they had our room available. Our room was small but very comfortable after a day of... More

If you are looking for a place for a small retreat for students or staff, the John Randall House is it. The location is close to everything but still far enough away for quiet and relaxation. Excellent staff. Don was a wonderful host. Everyone really loved their stay. And the price was excellent. Highly recommend to others and can't wait... More

I stayed two nights, Oct 16-18 2015 and have next to no complaints. The rates were reasonable. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. I was hesitant about a shared bathroom, but the facility was kept immaculate and the other guests were respectful so that worked out fine. The common areas were clean and comfortable, and the outdoor sitting... More

A very pleasant off-season escape in Provincetown . Our hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. We too experienced the squeaky bed on our first night, but our hosts switched out the culprit box spring immediately and all was well for our second night! Location was super convenient enabling us to walk everywhere. Breakfast was more than adequate and the homemade... More

Our room was comfortable though cigarette smoke from outside drifted into the room from people sitting and smoking which was unpleasant. Bed was comfortable but noisy! Bathroom cute and little as mentioned. HOT water! Staff were all friendly and helpful with suggestions. We didn't like the breakfast but opted for elsewhere which was easy.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the thick of downtown Provincetown, just one block off Commercial Street, The John Randall House delivers a boutique experience in the heart of Cape Cod. Part art gallery, part bed and breakfast, this Victorian-style inn features contemporary paintings by local and national artists alongside stylish furnishings. What really sets this hilltop inn apart is its newly installed outdoor deck with views of the tallest all-granite structure in the United States, the Provincetown Monument, which commemorates the history of the Mayflower Pilgrims. Each of the ten rooms is equipped with a queen bed, cable TV, a refrigerator, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Stroll down to the veranda in the morning for a continental breakfast of homemade baked goods, fresh seasonal fruit, hot and cold cereals, milk, and juices. (Twice a week, guests are treated to made-to-order waffles.) Once you've eaten your fill, head out to see Provincetown's finest features-what Lonely Planet describes as "untamed coastline and vast beaches" begging to be explored. ... more   less
