1) You don't like walking around in a quirky little town, and instead insist that you need to drive your car 2 blocks on a pedestrian-covered street to get to dinner. It's not worth it. 2) You don't like people. Provincetown has loads of colorful, friendly people with great stories and trust me, they WILL share those aforementioned stories and you will LIKE IT. 3) You don't like the ocean. Or fun. On spontaneous adventures in a cute little ocean town, because the Atlantic is moody and sometimes, you'll have to modify your plans. I booked a room at Carpe Diem after my roommate had a fabulous time there. The rooms are squeaky clean, the breakfast in the morning is fantastic (grab a seat and bring a book!), and the garden in the middle is so relaxing and quiet, despite being next to one of the busier streets in Ptown. The staff is phenomenal, Eddie will tell you stories until you realize you've missed breakfast, and the rooms are wonderful and all different, depending on individual needs. Ask for recommendations on anything you'd like to do- they've got loads. Hope to make it out one more time before the weather really takes a turn on us.

My wife and I stayed overnight for a weekend getaway and we were so pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was and how beautiful the accommodations were. The way the rooms lead to the garden was incredible. The sounds of running water amidst the landscape was so relaxing, we didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back!

Carpe Diem guesthouse was clean and very LGBTQ friendly! Super close to the national sea shore and commerce street. We stayed in the James Baldwin room and we loved the fireplace and outdoor seating areas in the patio. Breakfast was great. We had a fantastic weekend away for our engagement, Thanks again everyone!

Everything was wonderful! The perfect location: just steps away from Commercial St. on a quiet side street. Charming B&B with lovely zen sitting garden with quiet private spaces to relax and enjoy. Friendly helpful hosts and manager Eddie! Homemade breakfast included. Unfortunately the spa and hot tub were closed for Covid but had great Massages at the Namaste Spa on the premises. Also have lovely candles and gifts for sale in the gift shop.

My husband and I stayed at Carpe Diem for a 3-day escape from home after months of staying confined through the COVID-19 pandemic, and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was beautiful, the service was impeccable, and we felt safe and cozy in this beautiful retreat, just a short walk from Commercial Street and the beaches. The daily breakfast service was fabulous, and we both enjoyed massages at the onsite spa. We highly recommend this place!!
