Thought I had booked this hotel for August 8th, when the confirmation popped up it stated the 9th. I immediately (less than five minutes) contacted Hotels.com who then immediately contacted the hotel who refused to cancel (again less than five minutes after booking). Shows what they actually care about (and it's not their guests).

We booked months ago and have learned we have to jump through hoops to be able to travel - ok, no problem, we can get tested and do what we need to do for the safety of all of us. Now we've learned that breakfast is no longer provided at the "bed and breakfast" nor is daily room service. Our choices for cancelling the reservation are either an $800 voucher for our deposit for future use or hopes that the room is re-rented and we get back our $800 deposit minus a $50 fee. Caveat emptor! They will not deviate from the policy whatsoever!

We booked a weekend stay looking forward to a lovely inn with delicious breakfast. The day before check-in, I received a text asking if we needed parking which I responded yes to - there’s a $12 charge per day for a lot located about 3 blocks away. I was ok with that knowing the summer is busy in PTown. Then I got a call from an inn rep asking me about parking etc. It wasn’t until we were on our way to the inn that we were texted about contactless check-in, no room cleaning and no breakfast ☹️. Instead they left us vouchers for the Coffee Pot restaurant for breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff at the Coffee Pot were not very friendly. Basically your choices for breakfast are egg sandwiches, wraps, and baked goods that you can eat outside or take to go - not the delicious sit down meal we were looking forward to. They also didn’t give you change if you didn’t use the full amount. Our room - George was ok. The jetted tub was old and there was mold around it. It was challenging getting into it to shower. One shower head was like getting water torture. I was afraid to turn on the other - they looked the same. The courtyard at the inn was lovely with koi and peaceful seating. The location close to downtown is wonderful- we didn’t have to drive anywhere during our stay. Just know that parking is located 3 blocks uphill and the stairs to second floor rooms are steep even for people who walk miles every day.

Stayed in the Virginia room. Quaint, cozy, clean. Disappointed because the whirpool tub did not work. Room priced accordingly. Breakfast was decent. A bit noisy after hours being on the street doesn't help I suppose. Overall decent stay.
