Cozy cabin and and nautical flavor on the near closeby center of town, perfect location and best prices, friendliness laid back, kill u w/kindness atmospher. When u stay at CREWS QUARTERS, u won;'t want 2 stay anywhere else and ull come back 4 more. Don't 4get 2 ask Hunter about her scrumpcious Italian bakery right across the street. U will njoy all this in the coolest part of P-Town!
Crew's Quarters describes itself as, "Welcome to Provincetown’s ONLY ALL-MALE guesthouse for the past 59 years! Friendly, convenient and affordable, Crew’s Quarters All-Male guesthouse is one-of-a kind for active-minded, energetic gay guys and their friends that want to enjoy all of what Provincetown has to offer each and every day. Located at the corner of Commercial and Carver Streets, Crew’s Quarters offers not only a warm environment but a prime location that puts you front and center to the sights, sounds and tastes of Provincetown!" So far... all true statements. But the rooms are misleadingly small. Take our room for instance; we got the full size guest cabin. Granted we reserved on Booking.com and it was a special deal for everything reopening to draw people in to travel again. The CQ website photos were obviously taken using views at artistic angles making them appear mostly larger then actual size; Albeit, you can only do so much with teenie tiny rooms. Anywho...... Small room. Ceiling fan; one speed. Desk fan; 3 speed. Room: hot as heck and humid. If your know me you know, size doesn't matter... ha! But seriously the small room was hot and humid. Opening the window only let more humidity in and, come after dinner til midnight, cigarette smoke and chattering noise. Perfect. My partner's blood was simmering and he was getting grumpy. I talked with my partner and I said I would fix it before he could get too frustrated to stay and want to storm away and catch the next ferry home. Cut to an hour later and we are sitting on the deck as a window a/c is installed! Thank you staff of CQ for smoothing it over and helping make this vacation last more than 2 hours! Lol!!!! Despite that initial impression the staff was TREMENDOUSLY friendly and helpful and bent over backwards making sure the house was clean and disinfected. The 1st floor patio and 2nd floor deck were welcoming and nice & comfortable social areas. Everything the staff was asked to do was met with a friendly smile and an effort to fix things. I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere at which the staff went to such efforts. Conversely… not all rooms have a/c, rooms have no TV's, and electrical outlets in rooms are very limited (our room gad one outlet). But for an inexpensive, friendly, no frills experience in Provincetown…. Crew's Quarters is your spot!!!!!…
This place needs some love for sure! It used to be so nice and cozy, a true man-cave. It’s nothing like it anymore. Not well maintained, staff is not really nice, everything is worn out and in serious need for some upgrades and gayness to it. I don’t think there is a better location than this in the entire town, so can we please go back to what it was before? Some paint, new beds and linen, new furniture everywhere! And to make sure electricity doesn’t go out on a busy day (true story). And it’ll go a long way for sure. This place can be so much more!
+ Nice location on Commercial st., easy to walking everywhere + The room seems fine + Decent breakfast + Nice sitting area outdoor - A bit small room - Shared bathroom - Breakfast start at 9 am. which is a bit late
I just completed a weekend stay at CQ and had a terrific time! Chris and Jim were very hospitable and welcoming and the accommodations were great, especially given its central location. Easy walking distance to bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops. Highly recommended!
