This beautiful inn is within one block of Commercial Street (the main street in town) and is warm, welcoming and beautifully designed and maintained. We have stayed at many inns in Provincetown over 20 years and Eben House is among the best of the best. Full disclosure, some of the services were not available because of COVID-19 but that didn't bother us, we had a wonderful stay in a quiet cottage in the back of the property. It's a special place with a kind staff, we will be back soon.
My boyfriend and I stayed here in February, which is very much low season, but we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the town and hotel. We stayed in a Superior King room which was roomy, clean and beautifully decorated with the comfiest bed - it also had a fire which was perfect for coming back to after a chilly walk around Provincetown. The breakfast (fresh pastries, hot food, fruit, yoghurt, toast), which is included, was delicious and served until late which is great for a lazy start to the day. Teddy (House Manager) was super welcoming, friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations for what to see and where to eat - he was always around or easily contactable if you needed him. The only slight negative is that because the building is older the ceilings and walls are rather thin so you can hear other guests but the hotel provide you with earplugs so it didn't prove a problem for us. Thank you for a gorgeous, relaxing stay!…
Just spent my first winter wknd in Ptown and it’s now confirmed that Eben House is my favorite place to stay in town. Teddy was amazing, the breakfast was delicious and the room was more than we could ask for. Can’t wait to get back.
10/10 must stay. I have visited over 15 inns and hotels in Provincetown over the years and Eben House is by far my favorite. After many stays this winter in several rooms, Eben House consistently delivered a beautiful, historically inspired, environment with comfortable beds and attention to detail throughout. Little touches such as the placement of dimmers on every light, luxurious toiletries, and treats such as prosecco presented in the room upon arrival, set Eben House above the rest. You'll also want to stick around for the delicious complimentary breakfast that tops almost anything you can get dining out in town. Lastly, every staff member I have encountered was charming, helpful, and clearly radiated pride in the establishment--shout out to Teddy for always going above and beyond! …
Loved our stay here. Cozy, comfortable room. Very clean. Stairs are steep and narrow which might be a consideration for some folks -- part of the charm of this old house though. Breakfast was amazing, would love the recipe for the olive oil cake as I can't stop thinking about it!
