A very accommodating host, allowing us to advance our booking a day as our plans had to change to avoid an incoming storm. This hit overnight and she was even more exceptional the next morning rustling up breakfast including coffee in a power outage! A lovely house with easy access into Plymouth and freeways and our room had a view out over the water. Quiet and I think possibly the comfiest bed we have ever slept on! Internet was good but in our room on the front the WiFi signal was too weak and could only access using a laptop in a cupboard. A simple WiFi range extender over mains would fix this. Hard to rate breakfast given aforementioned power cut, no fault of owner of course. A little confusing on arrival and exit via the rear door of the house; maybe a bell would be good here and also some alternative way of contacting for non-US visitors other than cell. Overall, a great place to stay in Plymouth.

This is a lovely inn near the Plimoth Plantation and Plymouth Long Beach. There are certain aspects of the inn which need to be heeded, 1. Check in is at 4:30 p.m,, 2.The guests rooms are accessible by stairs. 3.If a guest is staying more than one night, the room will not be "made up" unless one asks ahead of time. 4. We wished we had checked their breakfast schedule. The yard is beautiful and one could wile away many hours enjoying its beauty.

Above the Bay at Thornton Adams far exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for accommodation within 100 miles of Plymouth this is the place to stay. We've just come back from a fantastic 3 night stay. Christine's knowledge of the area and places to eat or visit is exceptional, the rooms were immaculate and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Breakfasts were alternating from cooked breakfast one morning to buffet breakfast the following morning. The cooked breakfasts were fantastic and the buffet breakfasts did not disappoint. (home cooked muffins, walnut banana bread, bagels, cheese, jam, yogurts, eggs, melon, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice and I've probably missed several other items) We will definitely be back. Hope to visit again soon Gary & Diane Welsby

Poor experience. Noisy building from numerous sources (top floor, Jacuzzi pumps, hot water pipes and slamming of ill-fitting doors). No curtains in bedroom so awoken at sun-up. No front desk. No consierge. Host rarely there and unprepared to acknowledge issues. Building also appeared to be occupied by others as more than 3 rooms. Room not cleaned (when mention to host she just pointed out that this service was 'on request', however nothing ever explained/discussed by host. Avoid this place as there's much better places closer to Plymouth. We know as we just checked out and found better really easily.

We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon. It was delightful - cozy, quiet and relaxing. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful with suggestions about restaurants and area attractions. Excellent breakfast.
