Detailed Reviews
Great resort- easy check in polite, courteous, and respectful. Once in the room it was adequate for a family of 4; 2 adults, 2 children under 12. The room had a kitchen and one full bedroom. There was also a pull out sofa for the kids that was comfortable The resort did not impose the fees for the pool or activities since they were closed due to virus. There was hand sanitizer, and covid 19 mask rules all over. I was happy to see the care and consideration they had for the packed parking lot of people. I saw license plates from California to Florida and all in between. We maintained social distance. Garbage was collected very quickly form our room when we were done with groceries. This place is on top of their game. There is a walking train in the back of the building around some power lines but nice butterfly bushes and flowers, ect. All our needs were met and any additional items we needed such as; paper products, garbage bags, ect were given to us at the front desk without charge. There is a stop and shop right across the street but Aldi, and Big Y are also close to the area within 5 miles. Jiminey Peak and Local Mini golf was open but other than that, that's it. Unless you on a boat or have access to the local lakes, Other resort and lake areas were closed. I believe they took the highest precautions to keep us safe and have a fun family VACA for 2020. Thank you to the management and staff for keeping up the standards of professionalism and concern for current coral infection to keep guests safe, A+ . Also there was free laundry a bug plus for RCI Gold Crown!

The Berkshire Mountain Lodge is an excellent option for those looking to take advantage of the Berkshire region. Being in Pittsfield it is centrally located and easy to get anywhere in Western Mass or over the border to NY. All rooms are similar size and plenty for our family of three, with our daughter on the pull out in the living room. Berkshire is certainly on the high end as far as quality when it comes to an RCI resort. A large lobby for check in along with a welcoming staff, and rooms that are quite large for 1 BR suites. The rooms seem as though they were quite recently renovated, or rooms are kept very clean and in great condition. A large bathroom can be accessed either by the master bedroom and main room. An open concept kitchen and living room is separated by the kitchen table. There is adequate counter space and plenty of cabinets for storage if you plan on stocking up to eat in the room all week. Master BR is all adequate size – note the only desk is in the living room space. There is also a slider that can open up for fresh air that opens to a railing – there is no odor patio or deck. There was no washer/dryer, however there was a small laundry room on each floor that are free to use for all visitors – just bring your own detergent.
Customer service was very helpful as well. We had an issue with our top floor room after the first night, as we had water dripping from the slider (due to melting snow/ice on the roof). We were able to move to another room which happened to be a handicap accessible room on the same floor. This room had an even greater open concept plan, so less counter space in the kitchen. The areas below the stove and sink were open for wheelchair access. There were plenty of handles/bars in the bathroom as well.
We did not have access to any amenities due to COVID. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to load/unload your weeks’ worth of belongings into your room with the “off-roader” luggage carts (note the big tires for snowy days). We would be happy to return to this resort and would highly recommend it in the future.

My husband and I took a road trip from Rhode Island to the Berkshires (Pittsfield, Massachusetts area). It’s about a two-hour drive via I-90 a/k/a Mass Pike. It’s easy to get to this area from any of the New England States. We stayed at the Berkshires Mountain Resort which is located just about 9 miles from the Mass Pike on Route 7/20. It is easy to get to and located perfectly to so many activities in the area. Our home for a week was a one bedroom 850 square foot unit. It had a king bed with a large bathroom, seating area with a large TV, free WIFI and a fully equipped kitchen. It was clean and comfortable. During our stay (8/22 – 8/29/20), there was limited amenities. No pool and no fitness room. The resort did not charge us the usual daily resort fee of $20.00.
We did a mixture of cooking in the unit and dining out – once for breakfast at On a Roll Café where we had a great omelette and an Egg BLT. Then once for dinner at Mazzeo’s Ristorante, which was recommended to us by a friend and did not disappoint. We did venture to the local orchards (Bartlett and Hilltop) for local veggies and Apple Cider Donuts. We preferred Bartlett. Their tomato selection was outstanding as well as their baked goods.
During the week, we took a drive-up Mount Greylock and took in the views from the summit. We also walked or hiked several locations; Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary, Gould Meadows in Lenox and Natural Bridge State Park. There was no shortage of places to take in nature!
With the COVID limits on gatherings, we consider ourselves very fortunate to have secured tickets to the live performance of Rodger and Hammerstein at the Barrington Stage Company. It was outside under a tent with seats social distanced (6 ft apart) and a limit of approximately 60 people. It was most enjoyable since we usually have season tickets to the live arts or frequently take in concerts. It was a positive step to some form of normalcy.

I found the resort and staff to be of excellent quality and the arrangements for my dog the best. We were at the resort during a snow storm and they were able to keep the parking lot and entrance clear of snow and accessible. There was no inconvenience to me or my wife as a result of the weather.

What a treat this was. There were a few drawbacks due to Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the state government so we did not have access to the pool or other amenities, but that was not the resorts fault. We were greeted with a friendly woman at the front desk who was very courteous, helpful and professional. We were there for two weeks and every encounter with staff was positive. Our room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and in excellent condition. This was a suite with a kitchen, dining area, living area, separate bedroom with king bed and large bath room. The appliances were all full size and worked perfectly and appeared to be fairly new, especially the refrigerator. (with icemaker). All of the necessary Kitchen utensils, plates, cups, glasses, etc. were there and clean and in good condition (with one very minor exception). We did not hear any noise from fellow residents. I loved standing by the balcony railing and looking out on the beautiful area, even though it was not a true balcony every room has a sliding glass door which opens to the outside with a railing, making the living area also a balcony area. This stay was a real treat and not one we will every forget.

This place is just great. My love and I had a wonderful base for our Berkshire mountains getaway here. We had a full kitchen with dining room, living room, large bathroom and a full size bedroom. There were two TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, which was a plus, as we like to watch different programs. We could prepare our meals or heat up store bought items and really relax at night after a day of touring/hiking. We didn't feel couped up in just a "room." The staff is very helpful and courteous. They have a wonderful indoor pool, which was open. Although not a rustic country viewing experience, we had a pleasant view of trees from our room and the grounds are very well kept and up a bit on a hill which was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the wifi in the rooms was not working during our visit because of a Spectrum outage, but we were able to access it from the lobby. Definitely an inconvenience, but that can happen anywhere, it actually happened to us in another hotel in the Catskills, and the company had to come and fix it there as well. It was really one of the most comfortable hotel experiences we have had, given all that it offered. It really raised the bar for us looking for hotels going forward. If we were to travel to the Berkshires again, we would definitely reserve a suite here.

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds, the lobby, and the room (1 bedroom unit) were all beautiful. Everyone was accomodating and helpful. We had trouble with the TV when we arrived and the maintenance man came right away and knew exactly what to do. When we needed more washclothes, those were delivered in a very timely manner. Although the pool was closed due to COVID, my kids and I found the closeby lakes very relaxing and enjoyable. Also, having Stop & Shop (groceries as well as gas) directly across the street was so convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was our 2nd trip at this resort, both times we came here during February school vacation. The 2nd trip was just as smooth as the first one. Here are the many Positives about the resort:
• Convenient location: easy to find, yet tucked away from the main road
• Very close to a Stop and Shop (you can cook in your room)
• 1 mile away from Bousquet Ski resort
• Close to some excellent restaurants (we like Mazzeo’s, Mascot, On a Roll and Olde Heritage Tavern)
• Easy access to both Pittsfield and Lennox
Amenities: outdoor Hot Tub is divine (especially after skiing), nice size pool, well-equipped gym, very large and sunny lounge area next to the reception, comfortable lobby
Rooms: they are spacious and updated in warm colors, kitchen is well equipped, our daughter slept on a the sleeper sofa (not a bed we would recommend for an adult)
Staff: everybody was friendly and professional, eager to help,
Other benefits: complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby, kids activities (we did not participate) and daily movies in the lounge area
We love this place and most likely will be back.

Waited to get a unit for 2.5 hours while there were units available all the while. Plumbing backed up in tub and sinks. Room was not cleaned well and tv remote sat on top of protective sleeve instead of in it as if used and not placed back in sleeve. Hallway smelled of cigarettes and we roomed with beetles in the unit. When I tried to speak to manager the next morning she cut me off and said, “what do you mean you waited unnecessarily, I cleaned 15 units myself!” She then dismissively told me she would ask the person working the desk why he held onto the rooms instead of assigning them. She seemed irritated that I dare complain. I asked for a number to complain at corporate level. Left a message but never got a response. I am SO disappointed as were many other guests as I overheard them complain during my 2.5 hours sitting in front of the reception desk.

We stayed here using a timeshare exchange mainly due to the location. The 1 bedroom unit with a full kitchen was smaller than we are used to staying in typically but it had everything we needed. Furnishings (mattresses were pretty soft) and bathrooms could use an update but it was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Masks were required inside the hotel main areas. There is a grocery store across the street (Stop & Go) with a gas station. This location was so convenient to many of our Berkshire destinations and we would definitely stay here again!

Sorry but I don't know about a cleaning fee as we do not have pets. I suggest you call the resort & they should be able to answer you.
Wifi from resort is fine. However Verizon cell service is not the best. Only had one bar and FaceTime kept freezing and dropped calls. Enjoy your stay
