The lodge left a voice mail asking me to confirm the reservation. So I called now (7/5/22 @ 810 pm). The receptionist who answered the phone loudly grumbled that the name on the reservation was hard for her (even though I spelled it for her). Then she pretending to have bad connection when I got upset. I called back after 5 mins , she would not apologize and asked me to call back in the morning. I have not yet started my vacation and I am having two minds about staying there ! Seems like a nightmare place
glad we made it back to the area, we've stayed in rather general area numerous times. But it was great being able to be closer to town. We leisurely filled our days with things we never saw before, along with our annual trip for more maple syrup!
When I arrived to this hotel I was advised that the the pool and jazuzzi was going to be closed for 5 days. They claimed that RCI was made aware but RCI ultimately denied that they knew. Then they claimed that an email was sent out advising of this information. Well guess what no email. Now to an older person this may not matter but when you have children, in somewhat of an area, where there is not much to do, it is a great disappointment. RCI claimed that they could not transfer me to another location and placed blame on the hotel, and the hotel said that RCI was aware and they could only credit me $20. They would not let us extend to another night and even though they originally said that the pool would be about on the 30th, it did not open until the 31st; giving my daughter 1 day in the pool. I will never go here again and very disappointed in RCI…
Beautiful location for sightseeing in the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a great experience and even took the train from Worcester into Boston for a couple of days.
The resort was lovely. We borrowed a DVD and two games from the large selection available at the front desk. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bed was comfortable. When we needed assistance the front desk staff were very friendly. I made a few notes at checkout about some small issues with the room. Overall, great stay!
Staff needs more training for their location. They have no clue what's around. It would be very helpful to their customer if they have more knowledge about the area. Lots of waterfalls and hiking. Great reastaurants in Lenox MA. Kayaking is great
The resort is more like a suites hotel than a typical "resort". It is well maintained and the staff were helpful. I had a 5th floor room overlooking trees. It was very quiet. The resort is close to all amenities and was a great base to explore western Massachusetts.
Things were very quiet the week we stayed here. There staff were very friendly. The pool and hot tub were closed for refinishing. There are some games downstairs and there’s a big dvd selection (just ask how to change the tv to HDMI because it’s not as easy as you’d think with only one button hidden under the tv). Overall, the unit was comfortable, clean, and had what we needed. Note: these units don’t have laundry in them, but I believe there is laundry available on site. Also, there was a free coffee/decaf/espresso machine in the lobby as well as apple and orange juice. I preferred the lobby coffee to their coffee pot packet, but I wish I had a travel mug! Overall it’s a good central location to explore the Berkshires, but don’t expect the actual grounds to wow you. Also, I had to request a fan to get a little extra a/c into the bedroom, as the vent from the mail unit is tiny. …
We loved our week here in a one bedroom condo. The condo was very clean and well stocked with dishes and cookware. Bed was comfortable. But what made this place even better was the staff. Every singe staff person we met was friendly and certainly seemed like they really liked their jobs. The location was great for day trips into New York and Vermont as well as the towns in the Berkshires. And right across the street was a terrific Stop and Shop grocery store and gas station.
The Berkshire Mountain Lodge is conveniently located just south of downtown Pittsfield, close to restaurants, museums, gardens, stores and attractions. Great hiking abounds in the area and there are brochures and information sheets available in the lobby on almost every area of interest. Tanglewood, Mount Greylock, Shaker Village, Norman Rockwell Museum and The Clark Museum are all 15 to 20 minutes away. The resort staff is friendly, very responsive and helpful and the premises are well maintained. The pool and hot tub were open and we also rode our bikes on the nearby Ashuwilltocook Recreational Trail. Jae's Restaurant, around the corner, offers a half price sushi menu on Wednesday nights and we enjoyed our meal there very much.
