This was my first experience traveling with a pet and also staying at this motel. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and friendly, they serve a breakfast in the morning. The grounds were very nicely maintained and decorated with flowering plants. The building we were in was further in the back and was rather a woodsy area which... More

With a significant investment in upgrading the entire facility, this could be an inviting and pleasant place to stay. The location is very convenient. It's frozen in time, circa 1980. The furniture is outdated, television sets are old, our phone wasn't even working (manager did not care at all--blamed it on the maid), our rear window was cracked, there was... More

We stayed at the Governor Prence for 4 nights in late July. Located in the gorgeous town of Orleans, Governor Prence is within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and some shops, and is a short drive to the National Seashore, Skaket beach, and Nauset beach (where watched a beautiful sunset.) Orleans hosts a Cape Cod League baseball team, and... More

This is definitely not a fancy place but if you are looking for a clean room and bath with an outstanding staff of people who trip over themselves to take care of you this is the spot. The location is outstanding, a minute to Skaket Beach for sunset., walking distance to great restaurants, a few minute drive to national seashore... More

We had to find accommodation for one night and booked into Governor Prence months ahead of time. The advertised "deals" and relatively modest prices (circa $150 per night) were not available since we were booking for one night only, a fact we did not know until actually making the reservation. Upon arrival we were not given the type of room... More

Dear wdemelle As most reasonable people would realize...when a fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night it is certainly not conducive to a restful sleep--but it is a necessary precaution to protect the safety and welfare of all of our patrons. Sometimes in life situations occur beyond one's control--and how one chooses to react to these challenges... More

This is the best deal on the cape, clean rooms, friendly staff and quiet. It's an older inn but it meets or needs. Giant pool to relax and enjoy. very close to the beaches and shopping we will be back.

Very clean, a great array of rooms surrounding a family friendly central area that includes a very good size pool. The entire property is well maintained. Continental breakfast is included and the muffins are tasty.

We had picked this place to extend our trip to spend time with family. It is an older hotel reminiscent of the 50s. It was quite clean and the beds were quite comfortable. However it is in need of some TLC as it is beginning to show its age. As I have been coming to the cape for many rears,... More

There are little cottages in the back of the property that house the rooms. Our room was clean, with a/c, comfortable bed and good water pressure on the shower. However I felt as if I were staying at my grandparents house. It's worn and old. There are several places to sit outside including a gazebo and huge pool. The continental... More

We had a nice relaxing time here. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are old fashioned but spacious. The pool and seating is generous. The pool goes from 3 to 9 feet deep with a rope separating the 3 feet section. The breakfast is OK. The only issue we had was that the A/C had to be on... More
