This was our first getaway in over ten years and we wanted to make it a success. It was also our first time on Martha's Vinyard and we planned for three nights after Labor Day. Even though we had one day of rain, the trip was perfect in every way. Oak Bluffs is one of three towns on the island which are built up for tourists and was our favorite of the three.

The Oak Bluffs Inn is situated at the end of Circuit Street which puts it just outside the busy commercial area but near enough to walk to the frerry (even a slow walk with some rolling luggage), the shops and restaurants. You can even walk to a few beaches although to get to the nicer beaches you will want a car or bicycle. Oak Bluffs is located in between the other two large towns which are less than five miles away (easily accessible by bicycle). The Oak Bluffs Inn was ideally situated for our trip.

The room we stayed in was a little bit smaller than we expected but was also very comfortable, clean and quiet. The bathroom was updated and bedding was excellent. The size of the room was adequate for a short stay but I would need a little more space for a longer stay. The common spaces in the Inn were also very comfortable and our host provided warm drinks and snacks throughout the day. We took advantage of this in the evenings and during our rain day. The Inn features chairs on the porch which are ideal for sitting and people-watching. Off street parking is conveniently provided right on the property.

Breakfast was served, made to order, at 8am and our host was happy to provide us with non-dairy milk as we requested. The breakfast is not fancy but includes fresh fruit and warm sandwiches or waffles. Given the cost of eating out on the island an included breakfast is greatly appreciated.

The proprietor of the Inn was generally available and we always felt welcome.

Our stay at Martha's Vinyard was very pleasant and we will return. The island is not inexpensive, though. Expect to pay 20-30% more for meals and accomodations above what you would, normally. We visited just into the off-season so we didn't have to deal with the crowds. We will probably return in the future and perhaps do a day trip during the high season to see what that's all about.

After many months of sheltering in to keep myself and my fellow New Yorkers safe, I took a chance and drove up to Martha's Vineyard for a much needed getaway. I stayed at the Oak Bluffs Inn in 2016 and had an amazing stay then. I remembered how clean and sanitary everything was back then and knew that the owners would now take additional precautions to keep visitors safe. I called the owner Erik just to make sure that I was making the right assumption, and he provided assurance that chairs on the wrap around porch would be distanced and that breakfast would now be served in our rooms or in the charming side yard where tables would also be 6 feet apart for safety. My friend and I were so happy with our stay, we felt safe and were able to relax and enjoy the beach and the charm of Oak Bluffs. Everything is walking distance from the Inn which is located on the best street in town. Most people in town wore masks thankfully and masks were required in all stores. Restaurants that did not have outdoor dining were open for take out. We had such a great time at the Oak Bluffs Inn and thank them for taking the extra steps to keep us safe. We can not wait to return.

The OB Inn is conveniently located on Circuit Street near the end of all the shops and restaurants and across the street from the Gingerbread Houses and near the famous Inkwell Beach. The porch is spacious with comfortable rocking chairs, and sitting there and enjoying the street scene is a big part of the fun. In the morning it was great with a cup of coffee, and in the evening with a glass of wine it is a great way to meet the other guests and the innkeepers (Erik and Rhonda). Erik is a ringmaster as he checks folks in, answers all their crazy questions, helps make arrangements for cabs, tours, and restaurants, and keeps the porch scene lively in the evenings. The breakfast was good but not fancy, and there were plenty of snacks in the late afternoon. The rooms had a comfortable bed, plush towels, quality toiletries, and individually controlled A/C for each room. The common rooms are nicely decorated, and they had a refrigerator for guests to use for drinks or leftovers. It is a great place to enjoy the diverse and vibrant town of Oak Bluffs, and we hope to be back.

My sister and I stayed at the Oak Bluffs Inn for a few nights in June. Wonderful location! We were able to get off the ferry and walk up Circuit Ave with our suitcases with no problem. Circuit Ave is a main street in Oak Bluffs. It’s full of shops and restaurants. Eric, our innkeeper, happily stored our suitcases and shared all the offerings at the inn. He then gave us suggestions on what to do on our 1st day on the island. With his suggestions, we easily acquired our all day bus pass and headed to Edgartown. We spent our early mornings and late evenings relaxing on the porch talking with other travelers. Eric was always nearby to listen to our stories and offer suggestions. The inn itself is wonderful. Along w/a terrific location, wrap around porch, and very comfortable rooms, there are breakfast goodies in the morning, cookies in the afternoon, beach towels, chairs, coolers & umbrellas. The local bus station and town beach are easily walkable. I would highly recommend the Oaks Bluff Inn to anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard

The wife and I had a charming time at Oak Bluffs Inn. Erik the owner was an attentive host and we had a blast hanging out with him. ;)
Extremely pleased with the location, accomendations, cost and the personal touch of the great room and wrap around porch where we sipped on spirits and enjoyed the company of other guest.
Step off the front porch or exist the back garden space and you are a short walk from; main street OBs shopping and dining, the OB beach and historic victorian housing district.
Charming location with all the necessary amenities for a relaxting time.

This was our first time visiting Oak Bluffs so I was a little nervous because I didn't know the area. Erik and his wife made us feel right at home! They were so attentive and made our stay very comfortable, safe, making for an overall awesome experience. The location is in walking distance of restaurants, the beach, and public transportation which saved us so much money.

I’ll begin with the owner, Erik. He was helpful weeks prior to our stay, offering suggestions for things to do,etc. He called while we were traveling up to tell us the best Ferry to take since the Ferry in Providence was closed due to COVID-19. You will feel like you’ve known him forever when you meet him. The Oaks Bluffs Inn is one of the most beautiful inns in Oaks Bluffs and it’s in the BEST location. It was just as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. So warm, charming, and well maintained. There was hand sanitizer and everything you needed right there. Erik made sure of it. Enjoying late nights on the BEST porch in Oaks Bluff was amazing. The beach and the dock was less than 5 minute walk away. We met some pretty awesome people who were staying there as well.

Everything was superb and we look forwarding to visiting again next year!

My daughters and I truly enjoyed our stay at Oak Bluffs Inn! Not only is the location excellent as shops are within walking distance, onsite parking is available and an inviting wrap around porch welcomes its visitors upon arrival. Our third floor suite was much more than I anticipated for a B&B. The two separate bedrooms, private bath, sitting area and balconies provided us more than enough room to be comfortable during our stay. Each day, we enjoyed a filling breakfast with a variety of choices. After being out all day, we’d return to cookies and lemonade in the main dining room. On a daily basis, our beds were made, fresh linens provided & the bathroom sparking clean. The housekeeping staff work hard to keep the inn at its best.

But the most special part of our trip was meeting innkeepers Erik and Rhonda. Erik didn’t mind our late arrival, helped us carry our luggage up to the room late in the evening, always had coffee ready in the morning, served breakfast each day and was concierge extraordinaire! The bonfires on the beach gave us the opportunity to meet other guests from across the country.

I know my 15 and 20 year old daughters will always remember this trip fondly and would love to return next summer. Stay at the Oak Bluffs Inn - Erik and Rhonda work hard to make your stay exceptional!

We have stayed at the Oaks Bluff Inn multiple times, this is the best place to stay on the island. You will be missing out if you stay anywhere else!! It’s quaint, cozy and the perfect location. Great wrap around deck with seating to sit and converse anytime of day. They really make you feel at home here. A big thank you to Erik and his wife for always making us feel so welcome. We can be sure we will be back!

OMG a clean, quaint, comfortable, feel like moms place, cozy put your feet up and relax kind of place. You walk up to a beautiful wrap around porch with rocking chairs beckoning you to come sit awhile. You walk inside and you immediately feel like your home. The owner gives you a quick tour of the place, directions around the neighborhood, then shows you to your room. He is quick, pleasant and thorough. It is in a quiet community with plenty of eateries and shops across the street and down the way. The harbor is a short couple of minutes, walk away with picnic areas and historical sights. You won't miss your money on this one!

All good information above: There is a bike rack at the rear of the property, where most guests leave their bikes secured with a lock. Should you require a covered, more secure space, contact the Inn and ask.

Room 9 had a mini-fridge. But for those rooms that don't...there is a fridge in the main house, and anyone can use it. There is even a "free beer" section (which we did replenish :-)). Erik is very much on top of keeping the place stocked with snacks, coffee, tea, etc.
