My husband and I took a few days vacation after a wedding in Boston and were originally planning to spend all of our time on the Cape, but decided last minute to spend a night on MV. We found Oak Bluffs Inn online and chose it based on all the great reviews and are so glad we did. We could not have asked for a more wonderful stay! Erik went above and beyond and welcomed us like we were old friends. The Inn is charming, clean and comfortable with extra amenities you won’t find at a regular hotel. Those little touches - like freshly baked cookies and lemonade in the afternoon, beach chairs and beach towels we were allowed to use even after checking out, storing our luggage so we could spend more time on the island - made our stay so enjoyable. The location is perfect - step outside into the quaint downtown full of shops and restaurants, and walk just a few minutes to the beach or waterfront dining. I highly recommend renting bikes from Anderson’s (a great family run shop with high-quality bikes) to ride around (we enjoyed biking to Edgartown) and the local bus service is also available for $8/day for unlimited rides with frequent service (and bike racks!). We can’t wait to come back!!…
Erik and and Rhonda are fantastic hosts. Always there if/when you wanted them and never around when you wanted some space. The Inn is a 12 - 15 min. easy walk from the OB Ferry terminal and a 15 min. Uber from the VH Ferry terminal. It is perfectly located so that you do no have to have a car if you want to stay in OB. Everything you want is a few minute walk away. The Inn is clean and comfortable and very quiet. We had a great time and will return again - I highly recommend the OBI.
Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. We spent four nights on the island and it was Magnficant!!! Erik was a wonderful host, he provided important information about where to go and what to see. The hospitality was second to none and we can't wait to go again next year. Transportation was easy and restaurants, shops and the beach were all within walking distance.
We just got home after spending 5 nights on the island. Oak Bluffs Inn was the perfect location for us, very comfortable room (#3), easy access to everything without being in the middle of the crowded parts of town. Would highly recommend this place to others!
Very pretty, Very comfortable, Very convenient. Our fourth visit to the Inn was as memorable as our first. The Inn is so well situated on Circuit Avenue, a block from the ocean in one direction and a block from the gingerbread houses in the opposite direction. This time we stayed in the spacious and quiet room #1, but all the rooms are nice and comfortable. Erik is most helpful with advice about places to go, eat and visit. I love to look at the lovely gardens and flowers. What's not to like? We'll be back.
We love this Inn! Staff is very friendly and Erik is AWESOME! The included breakfast is an "on order" continental breakfast that includes meatless items such as eggs, waffles, yogurt and fruit. I got a breakfast sandwich every day. It saved me a fortune in breakfast costs and kept me satisfied. The Inn is perfectly located for walking to the restaurants and attractions in Oak Bluffs. Erik is the best feature of this Inn. His insight into the natural features of the island have made a huge difference to our stays. He's always excellent and accommodating. He always goes well above and beyond. I love the porch! The only complaint I have this time is about myself. I didn't book early enough to get the room or schedule that I wanted. So my advice is to book early! I highly recommend this Inn!…
Great location in the center of town. Nice restaurants and shopping within walking distance . Clean room and a relaxing front porch. Erik and Rhonda were wonderful hosts. Easy walk to the ferry dock. Simple breakfast options prepared to order.
We stayed at the Oak Bluffs Inn for our 50th Anniversary and could not have had a better experience! Our room was wonderful and absolutely clean! The Inn is so close to everything so we left the car parked. Must tell everyone that our host Erik made our trip a true celebration! He custom made our breakfast each day including homemade waffles, answered our questions about the island, pointed out places of interest including Inkwell Beach, and made outstanding restaurant recommendations!!
Erik was a wonderful host. We had everything we wanted for a lovely stay. We especially enjoyed reading on the porch with an electric blanket on an early cool morning. His local knowledge was very helpful including our walk to the Ritz to go dancing.
We had a wonderful time! It was a girls trip in early May to Oak Bluffs. Erik and Rhonda were great. They were easy to talk to, very accommodating and knowledgeable about island. The room was as described and very comfortable. The daily breakfast (I recommend the waffles made with applesauce and almond milk) and cookies were definitely a plus. The inn was in the perfect location. easy to walk to restaurants, beach and shops. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
