Let me begin by saying this was such an unbelievable experience. Joan was the most gracious and welcoming host. Caty, Steve.and Barb were also great and so friendly. At one point, my boyfriend and I, who were celebrating our anniversary, felt like we were right at home. The breakfast is delicious. Joan is so knowledgeable of the history nearby and... More

We stayed one night and had a wonderful experience. You can't beat the price for the stay. Extremely nice people that care about the property and your stay. The house was in impeccable order. The breakfast was better than advertised. An extremely relaxing environment.

Joan and Steve were friendly and welcoming hosts to this very attractive B&B. Very attentive to our needs and making sure that we were comfortable. Also very knowledgeable regarding the local area and shared local lore. Breakfasts were delicious both mornings. It was obvious that significant effort went into the preparation ... it was not simple fare, and again it... More

I visited the area for a brief business event and was very impressed with everything. I was warmly welcomed by both Joan and Steve and treated to freshly made cookies - always a delight. The bedroom was well appointed and well sized with comfortable chairs to tackle some emails. I took advantage of one of the three sitting rooms downstairs... More

What a great visit! We pulled in to a parking spot and before we could enter the door to the B&B, Joan was there to greet us with a beautiful, welcoming smile, using our first names to further personalize our arrival. It was as if we were being welcomed back home by family. Joan promptly gave us a tour of... More

We wanted to break our journey from the Green Mountains to Cape Cod so had booked a one-night stay. The bedroom was very comfortable and the house itself very interesting with a pleasant lounge. On arrival Joan very kindly made us some tea and scones and gave us advice on the options for dinner. Would definitely recommend it for anyone... More

I stayed in the ancient (by US standards) Centennial in in Northfield Massachusetts, and what a wonderful place. Just a few hours from Boston, yet just on the border of Vermont (try driving Route 121 to Grafton Vermont, dirt road but good standard and you can stop anywhere (closed in Winter)), You can tell a good place to stay by... Beautiful, historic Inn, comfortable room, great breakfast. Lots of old New England charm here and in the area, the Inn is beautifully furnished . Good jumping off place for exploring Western Mass, Vermont, NH. Great place to relax, catch up on reading, enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Western Massachusetts.
