My family and I have been coming to Top Mast for 18ish? years! It’s our favorite place! Always immaculate grounds and rooms, that has never changed! Friendly housekeeping staff and office staff! Beautiful beach! Sometimes our family ventures off and thinks “maybe we’ll pick a different vacation spot this year” but WITHOUT FAIL, February rolls around and there is never a question, we are reserving our rooms and house and counting down the days until we get to “our beach house”. I am 29 now and was 10ish years old my first trip to Top Mast. I am beyond that I have now a 11 year old son who has vacationed at Top Mast every summer for his whole life and a 2 year old daughter who is now beginning her summers with Top Mast! There aren’t enough words! It’s our spot, and will hold a very special place in all of hearts for years to come! If you have the opportunity to visit, DO IT! I bet you’ll be back every summer there after. — special shout out! I left a brand new pair of Birkenstock sandals in our room this summer, we had recently moved and couldn’t remember if I left them at the hotel or lost them in the move, almost 2 months after our trip, I decided to take a shot in the dark and email Top Mast to see if my sandals had been recovered! They had them!! And mailed them right out to me and received them next day! Above and beyond in all aspects. THANK YOU!!

My family and I have been going to Top Mast for over a decade. We can't say enough about Jason, Adrienne and staff. Truly, this place has been the catalyst for so many amazing moments and memories. We hope to continue this annual trip for generations to come. We are forever indebted.

We stayed at Top mast resort this summer and it exceeded our expectations! Directly on a private beach and 10 minutes to Provincetown the location can’t be beat! The staff was so so nice and went out of their way to help make our stay perfect! Definitely worth the stay, we will 100% be coming back next year!

First time staying at the Top Mast. The rooms were comfortable. We loved the balcony with the view of the beach. We also made use of the indoor swimming pool and the restaurant across the street. My 2 year old loved feeding the fish at the koi pond outside the restaurant. Can't wait to bring the family back next year!

Where should I even begin...1) immediately walking into our room the appliances were all visibly filthy, the fridge had brown rust running down the side, the microwave was covered in a thick layer of grease and overall the room smelt of mildew 2) the staff especially the pool workers are some of the most unpleasant people I have EVER dealt with. There was an incident in which we had friends coming to use the pool during our stay and their policy is every non hotel guest has to pay a $10 entry fee unless under the age of 15. Our friends daughter was 14 at the time and the workers publicly humiliated and body shamed her stating she was "too big" to be 14 and some other truly horrific things. not to mention, the people staying in the room adjacent to us had people sleeping on air mattresses on our shared balconyWould not recommend to anyone interred in staying in Truro /Provencetown.

Response from Top Mast Resort, General Manager at Top Mast Resort
Responded Jul 22, 2021
We are disappointed that you were not completely happy with your stay here with us. If there were any housekeeping issues upon your arrival we wish you had brought them to our attention immediately so we could have taken care of them or found another room for you. Although we rarely, if ever, have housekeeping issues, we understand that things can happen and we are always prepared to go above and beyond to solve any problems that may arise for our guests. As far as the interaction at the pool, our attendant had notified us immediately that there was some confusion and the resort manager went up to the pool and spoke with you directly about it, and there was never any mention about anyone's body. You were trying to register 6 people to the pool as guests of your room and you had only paid for 3 people to stay in your room which means that only 3 people are entitled to use the pool facilities. However, we do allow our guests to bring in their own guests to the indoor pool facility, but there is a $10 fee for adults, a $5 fee for children ages 2-12, and no fee for anyone under 2 years old, and after thoroughly explaining this to you, you paid the $30 for your additional 3 people and proceeded to use the hot tub and complex and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. All of our beachfront rooms have private balconies, the dividers between each room are just under 4 feet tall, so although there is not a full wall divider, as that would block everyone's views of the beach, bay, sunsets and Provincetown skyline, we do have these half wall dividers and everyone's balcony or deck space is their own. As far as another guest having an air mattress on the deck, while this is not a common practice and we do not allow the rooms to be over occupancy limits, there is a chance that a guest would choose to do this, to read a book, to look up at the stars at night, listen to the waves, etc. and if anything, it was most likely a raft that you would use during the day in the water and that they put on their deck at night. We are sorry that you did not find our resort a good fit for your vacation and we will always continue to work on any issues to ensure all of our guests have a wonderful stay with us. Warm Regards,
