This is my first review of any type of good or service, however after 6 weeks of back and forth with the front desk I have decided to leave a review. We checked out after a 2 night stay on 8/26/2020. I realized I left my kindle in the room. I called and they confirmed it was at the front desk. They offered to send it to me since I live almost 3 hours away. I offered a credit card for shipping as well as coming to pick it up at a later date. They said they would use the card on file. Fast forward to 10/01/2020.. 3 phone call inquires and no kindle. When I call they say it has been busy and my kindle is there, they just have not been able to make it to the post office🤷‍♀️. I don’t want to write a hurtful review because all of the staff I came in contact with is absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind. I’m not sure if this is the owner or irresponsible front desk staff I am dealing with. However, there are plenty of great, affordable places to stay throughout the Cape ( I’ve been to many). Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

The Blue Sea Motor Inn is without a doubt the best deal in the entire Cape. The owner Josh is one of the nicest people I've ever met. The area leading up to the beach is perfect - there's a fire pit, large picnic tables and tons of space to lay out in the sun or play beach games. The boardwalk leads to an absolutely stunning beach. You can see Ptown from there and the sunrises/sunsets you get from this spot are breath-taking. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and rates are incredibly inexpensive for the area. Before booking a room, I would recommend looking on the website to see what your room offers, as they vary in many ways. For instance, a few have bunk beds in the living room area with a private bedroom, some have full kitchens, some have balconies facing the ocean, etc. Some of the rooms closer to the beach have some truly spectacular views. The motel is like two miles from Provincetown, which is one of the coolest places I've ever been. You can literally walk there from the motel. I never would, cause I'm there to vacation and drink, not to exercise, but it's that close. There are also shuttle's that you can pick up from the motel going into Ptown for super cheap. For the last 8 years, my wife and I have been vacationing here atleast once a year, and I can't say enough good things about it. From the friendly staff, to the amazing views, to the fantastic location, I give the blue sea inn a 10/10.

It was very small room. Even smaller bathroom. Took us 5 minutes to get the door open. Thought we had wrong key. If you walked barefoot on the carpet your feet not only turned black Very quickly , the floor held so much water your feet got wet. When I checked in it was very uncomfortable . I am a trans man with still my birth name on license as I wait for paperwork, anyway the man checking me in didn’t speak other than asking my name. Didn’t tell me any thing about the place. Didn’t even tell me where to find my room. Being so close to ptown, an extremely gay friendly place , I expected a lot more and was not comfortable in the least. Didn’t even get a WiFi code if there was one. Overall very unsatisfactory.

We stayed here for a Saturday to Tuesday. The room was clean and well sized. As others have indicated, it is somewhat dated. We were just myself and my husband. We were surprised when we checked in to be told we were across the street. It turned out to be a 2 double bed efficiency. We had booked a King parking lot view. Not too happy with 2 double beds, but it was not the worst thing in the world. It did feel pretty removed from the rest of the hotel and amenities. We did walk down to the beach for the sunset one evening. The beach was completely covered with seaweed. The water was warm, but again, full of seaweed. Certainly not the hotel's fault, but it did detract from the appeal of the beach. But we did have a beautiful sunset view over Provincetown. The other thing that we really enjoyed about staying here was the shuttle bus that runs into Provincetown. $2.00 per person and drops you off in the center of town. It runs twice every hour (at least it does in season). Great way to get around and not have to pay for parking in PTown.

My main problem with this motel is that it’s not being cleaned during COVID. My room was dirty and grubby. It had someone else’s hair on the night table. The rooms were just being cleaned after my 2 PM arrival, so they do rush jobs. I actually was given two different rooms. I complained after being given a room with two double beds when I paid for a single queen bed. (Notably, my name was not next to that room on the assignment list the clerk had, so it was likely a last minute switch after seeing me). In the second room, I had to listen to a horrible screeching noise all night long - zero sleep. Not a nice place at all and I didn’t feel safe. Think more MAGA hat wearers (there was literally someone in front of my room wearing one) than at the places just across the border in P’town. This place struck me as more of a rundown co-op that they are trying to fill in than a motel or hotel. It is down the street from the much, much nicer Sandcastle although, aside from that resort, the other area motels in this part of Truro are cramped together with people really on top of each other. Not a nice place to have your Cape vacation. More of a place where you go to be with a certain crowd that drinks beer and who wants to make America great again. Would avoid.
