Stayed here for a long weekend fall geatway with my kids. We come to the Cape every year but usually stay around Orleans or Eastham. I thought we would try somewhere new this year and was very happy with my choice! This is not a fancy hotel, but it was clean and comfortable and the location is wonderful. It is right on the beach and has a lovely indoor pool and hot tub. No complaints here! You are minutes from downton P'town and the beaches. The Cape is my happy place and always will be. I would love to come back and stay here during the summer season.
We had Room 135 with patio doors to the beach and Cape Cod Bay….well worth the money and a good place to shell when the tide goes out and the sandbars are above water. The fire pit was a great place to meet new people. The rooms were renovated and clean. Unlimited supply of fresh towels. We didn’t use them but the indoor pool and hot tub were cleaned daily. Lots of lounge chairs. Bus to Provincetown 10 minutes away right outside . A very relaxing motel that I would definitely recommend if you like motels.
I was looking for a place to stay on the water on the cape that wouldn’t break the bank for my family of 5, and Blue Sea Motel was perfect. The room was large with 2 queen beds and plenty of room for our air mattress to fit all 5 of us. We had ocean views from both our balcony and from our door. We enjoyed the private bay side beach for swimming and sunset views. Ocean side beaches were minutes away, along with downtown Provincetown. The room wasn’t fancy or updated, but I’d rather save my money for dinners in Provincetown and excursions. This is definitely a more affordable way to stay right on the water. There was also an indoor pool, fire pit, and bus into Provincetown. One caveat - we stayed for 4 nights and did not receive any housekeeping services the whole time. Seems to be a trend in hotels these days - maybe they are all short staffed? TIP - request a room with ocean view. You will be happy that you spent the little extra!…
Blue Sea Motor Inn there are so many better options to choose from! Why are you calling yourself an oceanfront resort? Just got back from several nights here. The hotel is a more reasonable option than staying in Ptown but the property is significantly lacking. BEWARE NO HOUSEKEEPING: this hotel does not have any housekeeping service during your stay. I asked the housekeeper if there was daily service on the first day and he said yes. Turns out that was dishonest they do not clean your rooms at all. Your trash and dirty towels will pile up. When I called for more towels he did bring them but would not take the dirty towels. He told me to just leave them in the room. The Covid excuse is getting old now it’s been more than 2 years. There is no excuse to not have daily housekeeping. BEWARE BUGS! : Not sure the last time the carpets in the room were deep cleaned or vacuumed. The dead bugs all over the floor near the headboards certainly were not a warm welcome and showed that the property just doesn’t care. The skeevy dirty carpets are just plain gross. BEWARE EXTREMELY DATED: The bathroom was terrible. Extremely old and dated. The shower water would go from cold to scolding hot with no warning. This went on daily (friends in other rooms had the same issue). They could easily do some basic renovations but it is clear they do not care. TERRIBLE BEDS: Pillow were absolutely terrible. They should have been thrown out years ago. They purchased the cheapest pillows imaginable. Cheap bedding, cheap hard mattress. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep. Went to go check out the hot tub and the water was cold. Not sure why they are not keeping it hot or if it’s just broken and they aren’t repairing it. I didn’t expect anything with the word “Motor Inn” to be luxury accommodations but having a bathroom that didn’t look like it was from 1960, clean carpets and a nice comfortable bed is not much to ask for of a place that is claiming to be a “Oceanfront Resort”.…
Stayed here four nights in mid July. Why must this place be renovated? It is clean, well maintained and perfectly situated on the bay. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The bay and beach views from our room were beautiful. I don't care that much for bay beaches but the National Seashore beaches are all a short drive away. It is a five minute drive to the best restaurants in Truro and Wellfleet in one direction or Commercial Street in Provincetown in the other. And yes, the bus is right across the street if you don't want to drive. We really enjoyed our time on the Cape. Thank you Blue Sea and your very friendly and helpful staff.
Wanted to visit P-town 3 weeks out and there weren't many efficiencies/ suites left for my family of 4 with 2 older boys. I took a chance on one of the suites here with the Dunes view as I was told they were larger and more quiet rooms with a full kitchen. I did not have high expectations given some of the reviews. We did have enough space and the place did meet our basic needs. However, not sure I would book again, as we tried to avoid going back to the motel during our stay - it didn't feel relaxing - the place was dirty and smelly to us. Few things to note: our "Dunes view" was a view of trees (not really of dunes) and the traffic noise from RT 6 is very noticeable on these decks. It's not as relaxing as one would believe reading the description, though we did enjoy the extra space still to make a phone call or dry some towels. It was nice having a full kitchen to avoid having to eat out for breakfast, but the microwave was very small/ weak, the toaster oven did not work (I used the oven broiler to make toast), and the gas top burners were not flat (hard to make eggs). It was nice to have a full size fridge! The other slight disappointment is the entire area feels a bit sketchy. I worried about our bikes getting stolen on our car rack - locked them up good and we were OK though. I had thought we could bike to P-town but the road that the motel is on has no shoulder and it did not look that safe for biking for kids. Also I know I shouldn't be picky for a place of this price, but how hard is it to put some towel racks in the shower/ toilet room? We barely had enough hanging space for towels. The worst part however which might keep me coming back was the awful chemicals the housecleaning service used. The place smelled awful when we arrived - as if they have to use really strong fragrant cleaners to cover up smells from old carpets etc. It was so strong I didn't want to return to the room. You don't get daily housecleaning at this place however, so actually our 2nd day was more pleasant because the chemical housecleaning smell dissipated a bit. Some pluses to this place: we had sufficient space for a family of 4 with 2 older kids (ages 10, 13). I was worried I'd wake up in pain due to crummy old mattresses, but I didn't - we slept great. The Dunes view units were quiet and no one woke us up. They have a private beach with a fire pit, and the beach is very deep (tons of space for boys to play football). There is also an indoor pool which is oddly deep (9 feet deep on one end). It did not seem to be heated at all and I don't think an adult would touch that freezing pool water. Also, the hot tub only went to 90F and was lukewarm. But, my boys swam in both anyway and had a good time - so I'll put the pool in the plus category. In sum, there were good things and bad things but not sure I'd book again.…
We experienced a fire right outside our room. It was not the hotels fault, but the property next door - the 'Trade Winds'. A truck was blazing on fire (less than 10 feet away) right outside the back of our room and we had to evacuate, and instinctively evacuate all our belongings. The fire trucks and police responded promptly. I am traumatized from the experience. I wish the motel compensated us with a free night or stay; perhaps that is not enough. Trauma is something not to be dismissed. It is real. As a business owner I would have done more to make my guests feel comfortable. Maybe the property owners are not equipped to deal with experiences like this, but I am definitely still effected. The overall vibes of this motel are incredibly chill including the beautiful beach access. But stay at your own risk. Anything can happen and maybe overall the area is a little sketchy.…
I expected a 2 star hotel and was not disappointed. It was clean. I had a dunes view and the view was lovely. It was also across and down the street from the pool and the private beach. The efficiency room with the dunes view unit had paper thin walls and I easily heard every word of a conversation the people next to me were having. When I came in the room and sat on the bed, the headboard slammed into the wall. Both beds-same thing. I ended up sticking a pillow behind them to keep them quiet. The mattresses were not great and not the worst I’ve slept on. The full size fridge and stove were a wonderful surprise and came in handy. The deck was nice. The room was inexpensive for the location (the entering PTown sign is literally at the driveway of the unit I was in) and for what it provided.…
We were so lucky to stumble upon this establishment. Our room was across the street from the main motel and beach. We had a full, very well equipped kitchen. The room was nice and clean. The beach is lovely . There is a shuttle bus to Provencetown. I would definitely return.
This is my first review of any type of good or service, however after 6 weeks of back and forth with the front desk I have decided to leave a review. We checked out after a 2 night stay on 8/26/2020. I realized I left my kindle in the room. I called and they confirmed it was at the front desk. They offered to send it to me since I live almost 3 hours away. I offered a credit card for shipping as well as coming to pick it up at a later date. They said they would use the card on file. Fast forward to 10/01/2020.. 3 phone call inquires and no kindle. When I call they say it has been busy and my kindle is there, they just have not been able to make it to the post office🤷♀️. I don’t want to write a hurtful review because all of the staff I came in contact with is absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind. I’m not sure if this is the owner or irresponsible front desk staff I am dealing with. However, there are plenty of great, affordable places to stay throughout the Cape ( I’ve been to many). Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.…
