We rented two camp sites for 5 adults and 1 dog. The camp sites were nice and large and very clean. Bathrooms were clean and we were surprised that the showers were free. Beach area is a little small but nice. They had a area where dogs could go swimming. We didn't really care for the lake itself - very... More

We spent 5 days there last week and fully enjoyed it. To park was well maintained, staff helpful and you felt like you were camping in a park not an RV campground. Many of the sites were seasonal and the place was pretty empty during the week with the "weekenders" arriving Thursday night and Friday. Our site was large (we... More

Visited Memorial Day Weekend, 5/27-30/2016. It was not crowded, has a beautiful lake, swimming and boating area with rentals. Our site, 21A, was flat, spacious and perfect sun/shade mix for our new travel trailer. They have nice cabin rentals, tent sites, and lakeside camping options. We did them all since first visiting in 2003. (Visited 4-5 times so far total.)... More

My wife and I were invited to Prospect Lake Park by relatives who were camping over the weekend. Upon arriving and checking in, I was advised I had a dog traveling with us. Really! I was subsequently informed that having a dog I would be required to rent a camp site for the day @ $32.00 . After discussion of... More

My wife and I and our two children stayed in cabin 2 over Labor Day weekend. We weren't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised. Check in was a breeze and we were unloading the car minutes later. The cabins are rustic but very clean. The appliances were cleaned and worked well. The bathroom and refrigerator was very clean. No... More

This was a very nice, quiet campground. The site was right on the lake and beautiful. We were there during the week and it was very quiet. Started to get busier on Friday and into the weekend. The employees were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms are typical camp bathrooms, nothing to brag about but not filthy either. The beach... More

Prospect Lake Park is more of a trailer park than a campground. Most of the people in campers/trailers that were there when my family and I visited seemed to live there. They had gardens, walkways and decks. We felt like we were invading they're space by being there. We were the only people increments in the entire row we were... More

I love Prospect Lake Park and have stayed at least one week a year since 2006. I have seen and heard of the negative reviews but I think in this case you have to experience the campground and make your own decision. The lake is beautiful, we enjoy swimming, kayaking and just enjoying good times with friends around the campfire.... More

I have been to a lot of camp grounds and this is the worse one EVER!!! We no sooner got to the camp grounds and found the guard shack empty and a call button to let you in. So I pressed it and the first words out of the person on the other end said what do you want? OK... More

If you don't want a lovely vacation time ruined by a hostile and irrational campground owner then don't go to Prospect Lake Park (PLP). I see that some reviewers have enjoyed their time there but why take the chance? My family has been going to PLP, on and off, for more than 25 years during the tenure of previous owners.... More
