We’ve just returned from our 2nd trip to Meeru as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Had a very enjoyable holiday. Last time we visited in 2018 we stayed in a beach villa at the south of the island. This time we stayed in the new 2 bedroom villas. These rooms consist of a large room and semi open bathroom like the beach villa, but with a door at the back of the room with a short path leading to a second bedroom and bathroom, perfect for families. My only concern would be that there’s also a second side entrance into the room accessed via the walkway between the rooms. You need a physical key to get in this way, but you can exit from inside the villa by just opening the door. This is great for families for older children, but I would be a bit concerned if I had very young children that they could just open the door and wander off. It would be better if the door had a bolt high up that people could use to lock this side exit. If I was travelling with very young children I would probably just stay in the normal beach villas. The rooms are very large and can easily fit 2 separate beds and still feel spacious, but the 2-bed rooms are great for families who want a bit of extra space. They’re also very close to the bar which is very convenient. Note that the first couple of 2-bed villas don’t have a sea view, but instead look out at the back of the bar. The AI package was good, included use of water sports, mini golf course and trips to the house reef where we saw so many beautiful fish. It also included a lot of cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks like toasted sandwiches and ice cream. Well worth it. We ate mainly at the buffet and the food was varied and good. Overall it’s a very beautiful island and I’d highly recommend choosing Meeru…
We stayed full booked at Meeru in September 2021 for 7 nights and had an absolutely fantastic time. We were checked in very efficiently and really pleased Jacuzzi Water Villa in the 300's if we took the free all inclusive cruise departing in the afternoon the next day. We were lost for words upon getting to the room as it was breathtaking, the views were amazing - it received the sun all day. The quality of the fixtures etc was brilliant and it was very private and secluded. We had a wide variety of sea life swimming by our deck. The next morning we checked out and in the early afternoon set off on the cruise. We were on the larger boat of the two available called the "Kamana". The boat and crew were outstanding and the food provided was exceptional. Over the 2 days and 1 night we had 3 snorkels, drinks on a dessert island/sand bank, we did a spot of fishing, and had an authentic Maldivian entertainment evening. In between we relaxed and caught some rays on the sun deck. We consider the cruise was the highlight of our stay. Overall, the experience was amazing and we had a fantastic time. We would wihout a doubt recommend Meeru.…
We had an amazing stay in meeru for 5 days. Everything was nice, the food, the place, the villas. We went on two trips for sunset and snorkling, both were amazingggg!! But their staff needs more trainings, they are not welcoming, not in the moods, you can feel your are not welcomed sometimes. Tried to call the reception few times to ask for few things, always the answer was " mm check the paper in the room" " i will check and come back" and never helped in anything. We even were checking out, not a single question about our stay or anything. They need to do more acitivities to entertain people also. Will come again for the amazing place but they need to do trainings for their people! Especially the reception ones...
Our week at Meeru Island Resort & Spa passed way too quickly - we recommend you stay for 10 days at least! The island is beautiful, even when the rain pours. The food is excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The diving from the facilities on the island is also exceptional, with so many options on offer! Don't delay, plan your trip today!
Fantastic holiday! We came to Meeru Island for our honeymoon, everything has been amazing from the airport, speed boat transfers and all the meals and entertainment in between. For those visiting from the UK, you don't need travel adaptors as have UK plugs. We stayed in a water villa and it was huge, and the hot tub was an added bonus. There is shower gel, shampoo and body lotion in the room and a hair dryer. Also, sewing kit and shower cap. Mini bar was great, topped up daily at no extra cost. All extras in the resort are billed to the room so you don't have to carry money. Food was excellent in the buffet, and Masood was very attentive. We also had a meal on the beach and were served by Majeed, who was great. (£165 but definitely worth it!) I can't recommend this place enough. You can also see fish, sharks, rays and turtles from the balcony. Loved every minute! …
Amazing experience! We went to Meeru for our honeymoon and its was the best decision we could make! Everything was wonderful: the resort is a little paradise; the staff was always nice and helpful and the rooms were very confortable and clean! We stayed on the water villas with jacuzzi and water bungalows woth jacuzzi. Both were wonderful but we enjoyed the water villas more because of the proximity to the sand and view. We had lots of acrivities (free and paid) and se highly recomend the snorkling and the sea Cruise to see the turtles and sharks. We felt very safe and the crew was amazing with us!
The resort is very beautiful, the staff is very nice and very friendly. They have excelent cookers, the meal services is wonderful. The island is very clean and the room service is great. I'll come back to this resort in the future, we had a very nice experience.
Our entire experience of Meeru island from the moment we arrived to the very last wave off goodbye on the sea taxi was absolutely outstanding and a once in a lifetime experience. The staff were so attentive and demonstrate above standard customer care and service throughout out honeymoon. The island itself is serene, kept incredibly well maintained and cleaned thoroughly, whilst the beaches are spotless. The staff do a great job to keep the island looking 10/10 and their efforts are immediately noticeable particularly after wind or rain. Food was very fresh with a fantastic selection of local and western cuisine to meet the needs of everyone at the resort. The amount of choice was sensational in itself. Having an all inclusive package was perfect as the cocktails were included in this which there was also a wide selection of. Overall, very happy with the honeymoon and Meeru island experience - we would most definitely visit again and recommend this resort so highly. …
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at meeru in an over water villa. It was very spacious and clean with a lovely deck. The food in the buffet restaurant as well as asian wok were great and varied. Drinks on all inclusive were also good with great recommendations from attentive and friendly staff. A great stay!
We had a perfect holiday at Meeru. Staff member are service minded and friendly. Food and beverage are of excellent quality and rooms are clean and complete. Excursions are nice but a little bit expensive. Nature on the Island and of course under water is amazing!
