The Porches is a great place to spend a quiet, weekend enjoying art. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are private and comfortable. The artwork is eclectic and fun, and always brought a smile to our faces. It's really convenient to Mass MoCA - one block away! - and The Clark and the Williams College Museum. The...

This is the third time I've stayed here, it's a delightful hotel. Beautifully designed, relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, gorgeous bathrooms with fabulous showers and large claw foot bathtubs. Of course the location can't be beat, just a stones throw to Mass Moca. Cozy lobby with roaring fire in fireplace is a lovely place to sit and...

I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are comfortable and different; there were other family members staying here and it was really interesting to see the other rooms. It was a little too cold to sit on the porch, but the heated pool was nice. We also took advantage of the small bar in the lobby and the sitting room....

Dear silencemonk, Thank you for breaking your vow of silence to comment on the Porches Inn at MASS MoCA--we're very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! As for our cat, Sabine, it really is uncanny how she zeroes in on the guests who are allergic to her. Apologies to your wife! Best regards, Kim

We've stayed at Porches a few times. Each time has been wonderful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby always has complimentary tea, coffee and often some homemade cookies. If there isn't a treat, just ask and one of the hosts will put something out. Whether sitting by the fire with a good book or relaxing in the...

Loved the breakfast in bed. And the hot tub. And the decor and colors. Wonderful designer of hotel. MASS MOCA is across the street. Nice getaway. Bed was very comfortable. And loved the Apple TV. A special night of casual luxury.

I stayed for one night in mid-December on a very cold and snowy day. I found The Porches to be welcoming after spending the afternoon at Mass MoCA and appreciated the New England decor and modern bathroom fixtures. I didn't use the tub, but it complemented the bathroom nicely. I also liked the communal feel of the lobby with a...

Dear Ruth, Thank you for coming back to the Porches Inn at MASS MoCA! It was great to see you again, and we enjoyed meeting your husband this time. This hotel is truly classy, It is not inexpensive but a stay here is very special. Besides the heated pool, hot tub, sauna, delicious breakfast buffet, great beds, funky vintage furniture and art, it's across the street from MassMoca. There's a number of nice places to eat in walkable distance. The staff is great.

Porches has everything that makes for a superb accommodation: the vibe is welcoming, the space is charming, and the staff are friendly. My husband and I especially enjoyed the game library, complimentary coffee, and spick-and-span bathrooms.

Dear Teri W, Yes, you really should come back to the Berkshires. Why not next summer, when the weather will be balmy, the hills green, and when MASS MoCA's gallery space will have doubled in size, making it the largest contemporary art museum in the U.S.? A long trip for you, to be sure, but we'll make it worthwhile. We'll...
